We are a PADI and NAUI dive center that offers daily morning and afternoon dive trips. All of our dive trips include air tanks and weights, plus a free in-water dive guide/Divemaster to enhance your underwater experience and assist you in navigating the local Key Largo and Pennekamp Park reefs and wrecks.

We also provide scuba instruction from Discover Scuba, for those that would like to just try scuba, Open Water for those that wish to be come certified, and Advanced Open Water for those that wish to expand their dive capabilities. Plus we offer several Specialty Courses such as EAN, Underwater Digital Photography, Wreck, Deep, Boat, and many more.

Established in 2005.

Key Largo Dive center was established with the goal to provide the customers the ultimate diving experience. Outstanding customer service provided by a knowledgeable professional staff is the driving force to a repeat customer base business.

Captain Larry is a PADI Instructor and holds a Master Scuba Diver Trainer certification. He is also a U.S. Coast Guard licensed Captain.

With over 42 years of scuba diving experience and thousands of dives he will insure that your diving adventure with Key Largo Dive Center will be a pleasurable and memorable experience.

We really enjoyed diving at Key Largo Dive Center. When we arrived Nicole and Matty at the front desk were very helpful and accommodating, they helped us set up everything for our dive the next day. When we arrived for our dive trip to molasses reef the next day, the boat captain did an outstanding job and was helpful the entire trip. During our dive we saw tons of wildlife, rays, lobsters, barracudas, and an array of fish. Larry the owner was super friendly as well, he runs an A+ operation. We will be back for sure!

Great dive shop and easy to work with! The two ladies who helped check us were fantastic and made it a breeze! the conditions were a little rough, but that is mother nature for you. The captain and dive guide did their best in helping us with our dive.

We just finished our 3^rd 2 tank morning dive. It was fantastic. I wish I could give them more stars. We haven’t been diving in 3 years and this was the perfect dive company to get back in with. SIX people on a boat. A dive master goes with you. Some companies have 24 on a boat and you pay extra for a dive master. Steve was an amazing Captain and Rick was a great guide. Our last day we went out with Joe and he was so patient. They really look for unusual things to show you, lobster, crab, eels, Rays and conchs in their shells. We saw little tiny crabs that looked like daddy long leg spiders. If you request they will take you where you want to go. For nice dives, not too deep; molasses reef, Benwood wreck, snapper ledge and pickles wreck. Give this dive shop a try. I really think you will be pleased.

I’ve wanted to learn to scuba dive since I was about 7. I’m in my early 40s now and finally had the chance on a trip to Key Largo. I started picking the shop I would train with by reading reviews from a number of sources. Once narrowed down to my top 5, I sent emails to the shops with some question regarding dates and a few things I wanted to clarify. Steve at Key Largo Dive Center was the first and only person to respond within 24 hours. He was also very prompt on a few follow up emails.
I completed the online portion of my training, and once I was in Key Largo, made contact with the shop and worked out details on times for my pool and open water sessions. My instructor was Rick Murphy, aka Murphy, and later I was to learn also aka «The Black Manta». I was nervous, but right away Murphy put me at ease. He is authentic and down to earth, and a natural born teacher. He’s friendly and personable at heart, but he knows how to get your attention and hold it. I can’t recommend Murphy highly enough.
The shop has plenty of items for sale, but they’re not a huge retailer. Instead, they’re focused on Scuba and they know how to do it right. The staff went out of their way to make sure my training was not only excellent but fun. We finished my open water dives at Molasses reef, and it was as incredible and beautiful as if always imagined.
On top of everything? Their prices are among the most competitive of any in Key Largo. If you’re training or just looking for a dive trip, you need to give them your first shot.

This was our first time diving in Key Largo. But the one thing we didn’t want was to be carted off to a reef, dunked under water with 30 other divers and brought back with a bad memory. This company was all about creating a personable one on one relationship. They only allowed 6 people on board and we only had 3. Me and my 2 sons. So it could not have been better. This is how a Dive charter should be. You would expect to pay a lot more for this type or adventure. But the cost was as good as anywhere else. There would be no reason to go anywhere else to Dive if Im in Key Largo. Thanks to all you at Key Largo Dive Center!

Took a trip out to Pickles Reef with two friends, and even though the conditions were rough that day, we were really happy that we chose Key Largo Dive Center. The staff was extremely friendly and professional (Captain Rob in particular was very accommodating when I got sea sick!), and they offered the best deal in town. Highly recommended!

These guys did a great job. Professional, helpful, courteous. I was the third diver and didn’t have a partner that day, which was totally cool because they had a dive guide — free of charge. They also had snacks available — free of charge — which was fantastic because I forgot mine.
Great boat, great staff. Not your typical six pack, that is well, umm, a little cozy. Lots of room to move around. Two great dives off Molasses Reef for me. It was my first dive with them, and as a local to the area I have been to more than a couple dive joints. These guys were great!
Also, if you mention you are in the military or that you work in public safety (Fire, LEO, EMS) they will give you 10% off. They don’t ask — you have to ask them (not sure why, exactly). I love businesses that honor people that serve our communities :)

After contacting several Kay Largo dive charters we decided to chartered a two tank afternoon dive here and was not disappointed. They had no problem with there being just 3 certified divers and two of us just snorkeling.
The guys at the shop where extremely helpful with getting all our rental gear situated. It took about 40 minutes and we where all fitted and ready to meet the captain down at the dock.
The captain and dive master were vary friendly and helped us load all our gear onto the boat. After getting the rundown of the boat and discussing our dive options we decided on Molasses Reef.
We had a great dive. The dive master new the spot vary well and new where all the interesting finds where. We dove several spots in Islamorada that week but Molasses was our favorite. Definitely gonna use these guys again next year.

This is my 2^nd time hiring their services! These people are extremely helpful! They would take their shirts off their back to lend a helping hand!
My friend and I have rented equipment from this local dive shop twice and they never seize to amaze me! They are extremely knowledgeable and the owner has done a great job taking care of his fellow employees since they speak so highly of him!
The guy at the front desk advised us on how to get to the dive sites on our own boat and to look for a certain buoy within the dive site for some extra surprises! like eel caves, tarpon, etc!!! Great guy!

My husband and I were in the Keys for a dive trip and I booked us on a 2-tank dive with KLDC over Labor Day weekend. They offer a free dive guide which is an incredible perk. The reefs are huge and there are a ton of other divers down there so it’s easy to lose your boat (again, another reason the guide was a HUGE perk… we didn’t lose our boat). The guide and the captain were friendly and helpful, and the prices were great. They only take a max of 6 divers which made for a personalized experience. I had us scheduled to dive with 3 different charters at 3 different locations (Islamorada, Key Largo, & Marathon). After our experience with Key Largo Dive Center, I canceled our other reservation and signed up with them for our 3^rd dive day. Key Largo has the best diving and we will dive with them again and again.

Recently, I decided to add diving to a trip already planned to Florida, so I went looking for a dive shop in Key Largo and figured I’d decide based on recommendations from fellow divers. Couldn’t find much here on Unilocal,so checked some other sources and decided to use Key Largo Dive Center. Great choice. I called and told them my experience level and that I wanted to take pictures. They then asked a question I hadn’t considered. Did I want to ship my dive gear? It had never entered my mind how much easier it would be to drop my overweight bag at my favorite shipping store (Lomita Mail Car) than to lug it through the airport.
So, I shipped my gear, got an email confirming arrival and flew out a few days later. Elena and CLee, the girls in the shop are great. They had made arrangements for me and a local dive guide, Tim Grollimund, to dive the Spiegel Grove and the Benwood. The diving was fantastic!
When it all was done, CLee washed my equipment and when it was dry, she packed it back up and shipped it to my house.
Overall it’s a well run shop staffed by divers who care about the overall experience of their customers.
