Tarpon Flats Inn

My hubby and I chose Tarpon Flats for our anniversary getaway because of the small inn hospitality and because of all the amazing reviews. Maybe it was because we were only here one night, but we did not have the same experience as the other reviewers. It is a lovely inn, the kayaks and hammock are great, but we did not even meet the proprietor. We had to ask a fellow patron about where to find the kayaks.
We stayed in Bonefish and the toilet and kitchen sink weren’t working right, and neither did one of our keys. The privacy door was also frustrating. It was a perfect location, cozy and quaint, and I don’t really mind a few minor issues, especially since we were only there one day. Had we been staying longer, having only one key and no cold water would have gotten really frustrating really fast. I can’t in good conscience give it more than three stars though because of our unmet expectations and lack of communication with the owner/​operator.

Last night we arrived late to find our welcome packet as described when we placed reservation. Place was clean and has all the amenities. View is very nice. I would recommend staying here for a week.

My wife and I stayed here for a few nights on the first leg of our Honeymoon. What a wonderful little place! We stayed in the bonefish room which is beautiful and has a great view. The little beach with a hammock was a great place to hang out during the day, and the complimentary kayaks were fun to take out.
Gilda was wonderful and very helpful. She was very accommodating for a late check out.

We just spent 4 nights… we loved the Tarpon Flats! The room was very clean, well-​kept, nicely furnished. Everything you’d need to make your stay comfortable. The on-​site owners were friendly and responsive to anything you’d need. We can’t wait to go back. I agree with another reviewer… better sheets would’ve been the 5^th star.
The marine neighbors were a bonus that we thoroughly enjoyed!

This is a truly a paradise. For a cozy Floridian treat.
Sandy beach, palm trees, hammock and glittering waters.
Bikes, kayaks and you may spot a manatee in the channel too.
The room suite was very comfortable with kitchen and sitting area.
I found the bed to be a little too firm after 4 nights and
they do need to invest in new sheets.
But overall this was «cheeseburger in paradise» experience.

Great Place, it is a little Gem, hidden, really well kept, spacious rooms, spotless and clean, best beds ever to sleep really comfortable, and the room has a little kitchen for cooking if you need to, it is wonderful, the definition of peace and tranquility, I really loved this place, will come back as soon as I can, it really has been a find for us, they have a little marina, a small pool and you get to ride free of charge a bicycle or you can ride on a kayak free of charge and they have free WIFI, great location, close to everything, you have a Windixie close by, nice people running it, I loved it, just wonderful

we are super inlove with this place, adorable, spacious rooms, free wifi, kayaks and bikes. and the hammock, did i mention the hammock? so charming, i wish we could have more time here.

Spent 3 nights 4 days here and it was great. Nice, clean, quite and friendly people. Would recommend. Will make this a stop each time I go to the keys. Private beach is a perfect place to watch the sunrise.

The kind of place you don’t want to leave a review not to give this hidden gem away.
But I must leave a review to support this amazing location.
It’s quiet, beautiful, cozy, and relaxing.
For us city people that look to get away from the fast pace rat race, this is exactly what we are looking for.

Excellent location with private little beach to have the ultimate sunrise of your own! Free wi-​fi, complimentary usage of their fins, kayaks, bikes and laundry machines is simply fantastic! Piera was very helpful and she directed us to get local grocery (Publix) to make ourselves nice breakfast and lobster dinner to make this our own style. Lots to do around here. State park is only a mile away and Key West is 2 hours South, lots of local tours for snorkeling and fishing trips to choose from, office has all the info you need. My wife and I were given a bottle of champaign when we arrived. Thanks so much for a memorable vacation in the keys!

I recently spent 1 week at Tarpon Flats while vacationing in Key Largo. The manager, Sherry, was fantastic and was very accommodating. She was waiting for our arrival (10pm!) and was quick to give us breakfast items and to make sure we had everything we needed. The bed and breakfast is on a marina and the scuba diving company we dove with met us right outside our room in the morning and dropped us off afterwards. The facilities are very nice, we had a suite with a full bath and kitchenette. There are also free kayaks which we used one day. I will definitely stay at Tarpon Flats for future Key Largo trips.
