Went in with a check engine light problem on a busy Monday. From the excellent office staff to the mechanics everyone was fantastic. Diagnosed my problem and had me on the road in 2.½ hrs. You cannot beat the service and honesty. Thank you Wheatons!!!

On vacation and all of a sudden somewhere halfway through the state of Florida my oil maintenance light comes on. We stopped by a Honda dealership near Miami, but they wanted us to drop off and wait 4+ hours for our car back. I wasn’t willing to give up the day we had planned for a drive through the Keys up for an oil change. So off we went on our way to Key West. Then the panic sets in. What if the oil is low and we burn up the engine? I have my wife search to see if there are any service stations in the Keys. Wheaton’s comes up as the nearest location and she calls. They were closing early due to the New Years holiday. We’re only 10 minutes down the road so they agree to take us in. Huge sigh of relief. They not only fit us in, but it took no more than 35 minutes total for the work. Very honest and helpful guys at this shop. I would recommend to other travelers and locals alike. Top notch folks over at Wheaton’s!

I felt completely ripped off here. I was quoted one price but when time came for the bill they had added $ claiming my car took a special filter. This has never been mentioned before and I’ve driven over 43K in this vehicle with many oil changes prior. The way they handled it was very poor. I also heard a sermon on how they make no money on oil changes prior to start if service and then within a few minutes I’m being told my tire has a screw in it and it will cost $ 20 to patch it. They’d claimed that the interior sensors were pointing this fact and flashing lights yet that’s not how my car notifies me of low pressure plus I had been running errands all day and I would have noticed that. They got very antagonistic when I tried to speak to these things so I just paid and left and will deal with this through my credit card company.
They did an oil change, rotated tires, and patched an apparent puncture. So the services were performed. If this was it and they had charged me what they quoted I would provide probably 3 – 4 stars — not more simply because they charge way more than if I had driven the 45 minutes to Homestead. However, quoting one thing and then charging another without notice, arguing about the cost of living in the Keys and mysteriously finding a way to milk me for more money through a ‘special’ filter and an unlikely puncture doesn’t sit well with me.

We stopped at this garage because our van tire was leaking air (passing through Largo headed south). The positive reviews on Unilocal lead us there over other area options. THANK YOU Unilocal REVIEWERS! Wheatons staff were all pleasant and quick to help. We had our tire repaired quickly for $ 20 and they even checked our spare to be sure that one would be available for any other unforeseen issues down the road. We don’t like to review restaurants because we like to keep the good ones to ourselves, :-) but this service station should be known to the world as place you can trust for good work, fair prices and quick service.

Needed a tire patched, they were quick to help and it was only $ 20. They seem to have their stuff together for other repairs but I can’t confirm that. I would come back if I had another issue down here.

I just used this shop during our vacation in the Keys. Late on a Sunday night as we drove into Key Largo we got a flat tire. On Monday this shop ordered the tire and it was to come in on Tues at 1. While I would have preferred them to have the tires in stock it was a less used size and so I understood having to wait. The next day the tires didn’t come in as expected. The owner, Mark Wheaton, located the required tires and drove and picked them up himself and had them put on and then realigned them himself. I was able to continue my vacation a couple of hours later. He was obviously distressed that they hadn’t gotten the tires as expected and understood my frustration at waiting longer for my tires. Everyone was very pleasant and worked hard to get us on our way. I have returned home (VA) and the tires did well on that long trip (as expected).

Don’t spend your money here! I bought a tire from them, four days it blew out, i took it back to them and «Billy“started yelling at me and told me that they are not responsible and would not give me a refund or fix the tire. the price i paid was nearly twice the price as i would get in Miami. local businesses wonder why people go to Miami and don’t keep it local well this is why.
