Hyatt Key West Resort and Spa

Beautiful hotel, simple and relaxing. Great views, hotel right on the water front, soo romantic Nice sized pool and good food options in the on-​site restaurant. The service personnel were wonderful as well. I would definitely suggest as a great place to stay when in Key West! I completely enjoyed my stay here! I will come again for sure.

AMAZING HOTEL seriously they must get their staff from heaven because they are all the friendliest, sweetest people ever! This hotel was so quaint yet upgraded and beautiful. It is right off the beach and has a nice pool. Also the food is amazing.

When we first rolled into the Hyatt — we were kind of sceptical. The pool area and site seemed small. Fast forward to five days later — and we fell in love with this place. I’m talking a 50 Shades Grey type of love. Not necessarily kinky and weird but mostly a deep genuine love — this place was the bees knees!
This hotel is right on the water and has its own little beach and jet ski dock. They have two restaurants and THE FOOD IS TO DIE FOR. I could spend months sitting out by this pool and eating their DELICIOUS food. We were served by the lovely Lu Anne (forgive me if I misspelled) and she was friendly and fun and made our days at the Hyatt wonderful.
The rooms were incredibly nice. Updated, huge showers, and balconies with great views. They cleaned our rooms immaculately every day and left us treats.
Truly a dream vacation spot. Highly recommend!

Just returned from Key West and a fantastic 4-​night stay! It started with a personal welcome and a glass of champagne. We were able to check-​in and get our room at 12:30 PM. This is an unusual phenomenon in Key West. The room was bright, clean and looked over the pool and gulf.
The hospitality at the Blue Mojito pool bar and the friendliness and attentiveness of the pool servers was spot-​on. The grounds at the Hyatt are very nice with a little for everyone, small beach, decks and of course the pool and hot tub. There are also turtles and a parrot to add to your stay.
The food from Shor was great as well.
The employees truly seemed happy here. We have been going to Key West for about 22 years and have stayed in more places than I can count. I think with the Hyatt, we have found our new Key West home.

They week started off great, but Then wait staff was rude except Scott, he was great. The wait staff actually lied straight to my face about a policy. The restrooms were so dirty and they try and overcharge you every time so check your bill upon check out. Not the quality I expect from Hyatt owned property. I will have to rethink my corporate travel at Hyatt properties. You have most likely lost my business. Stay somewhere else on the island.

My family really liked this hotel! I have 2 small children, 4 and 5, and our experience with the hotel and staff was just wonderful. Everyone was very nice, great to our kids, and it’s a beautiful hotel. Great location, nice pool and activities by the pool area, great views, and the turtles were great entertainment for us every day! My kids loved that they got to feed the turtles (all 50 or 60 of them)! We are really glad we picked this hotel for our vacation!

This is a wonderful hotel. Staff is extremely nice, everyone greats you, everyone is happy, pleasant and accommodating. We love that you are so close to the action yet it’s peaceful. The property is very well kept, and the setting is beautiful. This is our go to spot in Key West.

This is way to expensive for just an average resort we paid $ 600 a night after taxes and resort fees. Rooms were poorly cleaned and just not to the standards of most Hyatt properties. The only save is the front staff are very friendly and attentive. A B&B would be a much better value for what you get.

You will not be disappointed staying here. The location is one of the best because its in walking distance to Mallory Square, Historic Seaport, and Duval Street. Beautiful ocean views, fruity water or champagne upon check in, great pool with poolside food & drink service… just raise your flag and drinks will come. We love the floating dock out back in the ocean where you can swim as well. We stay here frequently and have never had a bad stay!

Decent place, don’t like the room we got because the bathroom is right next to the bed, but everything is simple standard to Hyatt. Restaurants and beach are walking distance.

8Minus — Just checked in and really unimpressed. Paid for 4 nights in advance for a partial oceanfront and was given a completely obstructed view on the first floor. If someone pays in advance for a room with a view, make sure they get it.
Plus — Place is in a good location, and appears clean and modern in a lot of ways.
We come to Key West very frequently, but will likely not be interested in paying top dollar for a roll of the dice on the type of room we’re getting.

Excellent location: it’s near the water, walkable to old downtown, Walkable distance to near by activities (such as parasailing, day trip sailing, Mallory Square, Duval Street, the dock. etc)
You can book all kinds of excursions through the hotel, but of course will be a bit pricey.
The facility is clean and comfortable, modern decors, friendly staffs. The room has a balcony with a nice ocean view. The hotel restaurant also has a super nice ocean view. Leaves you even more relax with the ocean breeze when having your breakfast.

Excellent Hyatt. Don’t let the lobby fool you. The room interior design is excellent, clearly thought out with modern style. Bathroom is awesome. Each room has balcony that looks at the lovely ocean. Love the service.
Only down side is the lack of a beach that the neighbor hotel has, but it is not a big deal.
Location is excellent, walkable to old downtown.
I love the turtles and the parrot by the lobby, such a cute touch.

The good:
— Location: It’s just a few steps from Duval
— Ocean, it doesn’t have a beach but there is water access to swim (it’s not sandy, its rocky so be prepared)
— Champagne at Check-​in
— Gorgeous views
— Friendly staff
— We upgraded to the King Salon room (625 sq ft) overseeing the pool with a gorgeous view of the ocean.
— Comfy robes
— Large modern bathroom
— Our room had 2 large balconies
— Even though we didn’t use them, there is a nice pool and hot tub
— Turtle ponds are fun to look at
— Option of Valet or Self parking
— Keurig with a nice variety of K-​cups to choose from
— The overall Hotel is modern and well kept
— Outdoor game room area has Foosball table and board games
The bad:
— The King Salon room (625 sq ft) — We were expecting a living room and separate bedroom, however the room is one open layout, a sitting area and further down the bed, with only ONE TV which was by the seating area and hardly visible from the bed.
— The TV was small for the room size, no HD TV, just a handful of channels and bad reception
— The overall layout of the room was very odd.
— Wall units, no central A/​C. Our room had 2, one by the bed and one by the seating area, they are noisy
— The shower lacked water pressure
— The Chaise Lounge on our balcony had a huge oil stain
— There was loud construction starting early morning on the premise (which we were unaware of when checking in)
Overall, our stay was disappointing, especially for the price point we were expecting a separate living room and bedroom area each with its own TV (Like the KW Westin).

I loved this hotel! From the modern sixties looking décor to the welcoming staff. We luckily had a beachfront view and were able to enjoy the atmosphere from the room balcony.
The grounds of the hotel were well kept along with the lobby, restaurant and hallways. The room was similarly as nice with their «luxury hotel bedding» and top of the line KenetMD signature products (i.e., body wash, lotion, etc.). The only negative criticism was the condition of the towels, especially the first night, with them being worn down and not with a high thread count that you would expect from a luxury hotel.
The staff were extremely friendly down to the spa representative that gave us mango infused water when we came back from a long bike ride even though we weren’t getting a spa service.
I would definitely recommend this hotel regardless of it being quite pricey. It’s definitely worth it.

We have stayed here many times but this review is for our latest stay… first, the hotel is wonderful… very nice location, close to Duval, and great breakfast/​restaurant… pool open late, love the wait staff… Great pool and very clean… love the docks and watching the boats come in. Also, LOVE that the water sports place is right here and off our dock.
Breakfast was delicious daily, love sitting on the docks and by the pool, love the little cove, love the floating platform, location is fabulous, pool waitstaff were pretty great overall… Views from our room were great… but i think this depends on where you are. Turtles and Odie were so wonderful to watch and play with… Our daughter LOVED that and it was a wonderful attraction. Store by the pool is pretty nice. loved some of the things they had.
Now to the downside:
–The pool isn’t too big, so when it is busy, it is super busy… and even though non-​guests at the hotel aren’t supposed to be using our pool or beach, this isn’t super policed.
–I called ahead to let them know I had a kid and needed a crib, they said it would be in the room and no problem… well guess what, it wasn’t in the room… so I was like «ok, please bring»… and the guy told me he would bring it right back up… very pleasant… 3 hours later, after many calls down to the front desk, someone showed up.
–Rooms were not cleaned quickly. so it was hit or miss… AND, our lady did a poor job. Robes were never replaced even though one was on the floor as dirty… trash was often left unchanged, floor had spots still on it that should’ve been cleaned… and one day, the room wasn’t cleaned when we came back so we asked for towels and stated we would let them know when we were out so they could come back to clean… but NOT to come knock and clean now since we were putting our daughter down for a nap… they came by about 30 minutes later and knocked a bunch of times to clean the room, even though the people we told not to come assured us they wouldn’t send someone until we asked… so our daughter was awoke, evening ruined due to our daughter not getting the nap.
–Concierge didn’t seem particularly knowledgeable… pleasant enough but one doesn’t eat seafood and both seem pretty flighty.

Went for April break in 2013. This is the best hotel I could find on the island in terms of location, views, and amenities. I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff had champagne upon our arrival and were very friendly. We didn’t need to rent a car. We could walk to everything. We rented jet skis through the hotel and had a great time. I enjoyed the pool and how it is right on the water. Our room was a good size and the shower was huge. The turtles and parrot on the property are a nice touch too. I’ll be back!

While the location is great, I was underwhelmed with the «resort» itself. The room was clean and modern but our view was nothing but trees and a walkway off the balconies. Unfortunately I had to listen to some drunk women sit on her balcony and talk at the top of her lungs until 2 am. Not the hotel’s fault, I know. But the pool was closed by the board of health and the hot tub was drained due to mechanical problems. Some of these rooms go for over $ 400 a night. Not really worth it.

Wow! Loved this place. Now Casa Marina is my fav but this place is a close second and considering I used points to stay here it was ideal!
I called ahead of time and spoke to Eva and upgraded to a Gulfront room. She informed me the first night I could stay basic and then go waterfront for the other 4 nights but when I checked in I got a Gulfront studio and transferred to Gulffront king the next day. Both were spectacular. Awesome views, 2 to 3 balconies, showers big enough for 2 (or 4) great amenities. just perfect.
We ate downstairs at Shor several times and although the service was painfully slow to greet us turned out fine after initial delays.
The pool bar, blue mojito, had great servers and a wonderful view of the gulf. You can rent jet skis, go on a sunset cruise, rent runaround boats and it’s within walking distance of all the touristy places.
They have a nice sized pool and a Jacuzzi and really some of the best service ever. I always expect that from the Hyatt chain and had no let downs here.
We liked it so much we extended our stay an extra day!

The Hyatt Key West Resort and Spa. A great Resort in a great location! After a long 4 hour drive from Miami, we arrived tired and thirsty. The Hyatt was ready for us. As we were checking in, they offered us either champagne or lemonade to quench our thirst, and candy to leave a sweet taste in our mouth. Check in was a breeze for us after they gave us our refreshments. Our room was on the top floor, the fourth floor. It had a partial ocean view. Even though the view was partial, it was an awesome view of Key West. Florida hotels are interesting. Most hotels have the Lobby as the first floor. In Florida, the Lobby is the ground floor. The 1^st floor is reallythe second floor. Always push the «L» button if you want to get off at the ground floor.
Our room came with 2 queen beds. It everything that my wife wanted in a hotel room. The room was nice. The room was nice and big. It was nicely decorated. They had a refrigerator in the room that got a lot of use. The bathroom appeared to be recently remodeled. Exactly what the wife wanted. The only complaint was with their choice of television stations. None of the the Florida hotels we stayed at allowed my wife to dream. She could not watch HGTV. They also did not have a NBCSN. I could not watch the Stanley Cup Finals. But, the bartendender at the pool area set me straight on sports.
The hotel has a large swimming pool. They had a game patio near the bar, which included a reading library and a large screen tv. My daughter loved the game area. She loved playing the various games. They also had a bar with a real nice bartender. The bartender give me an important piece of advice. He told me to relax. He told me that I was in Key West, and that I should not be worrying about a hockey, basketball, or baseball. He was correct!
If that is not enough for you, they also had their own private beach for you. You could lounge on one of their lounge chairs. It was nice! Bike Rental and Wave Runner Rentals were also available.
Odie, the pet bird was right outside the lobby greeting everyone. They also have a turtle pond that is decorated with real live orchid plants. It was nice and relaxing watching the turtles and Odie.
The hotel was within walking distance to both Mallory Square and Duval Street. It was close to all the action in beautiful Key West. They Hyatt Resort and Spa is a great place to stay while on vacation. It has everything you need to relax. It is a great hotel in a great location.

Das Hyatt ist sicherlich eines der schönsten Hotels auf den Keys. Der Pool ist allerdings etwas zu klein und nicht den ganzen Tag in der Sonne! Frühstück ist top. Die Sonnenuntergänge fast von jedem Zimmer aus zu sehen ;-)

Sicherlich das schönste Hyatt auf Key West. Es liegt direkt in Old Town, nicht weit entfernt vom Mallory Square, wo jeden Abend der Sonnenuntergang gefeirt wird.
Die Zimmer sind sehr schön, allerdings wird gerade der Turtle Pond renoviert, was allerdings dem Gesamteindruck keinen Abbruch tut.
