The Paradise Inn

Only stayed one night and had a great experience. The staff was friendly and very accommodating to say the least. There is onsite parking, but for $ 25 plus tax a day. The location is great though being that it is only a block away from Duval and about a 15min walk to the Southernmost Point and Hemingway House. Its close enough to everything to be very convenient, yet also far enough away to be very quiet in the evenings.
The grounds are well maintained and the room very clean. I love the cottage feel of the rooms. The classic peppermint patties on our pillows were also a cute touch! Our double queen bed room was very spacious. The linens were clean and the beds comfortable.
They offer a complimentary wine and cheese happy hour every night for a few hours in the lobby which enabled us to meet some of our neighbors and get a wonderful dinner suggestion. For breakfast they offered a variety of items such as bagels, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, and cereal along with Starbucks coffee and a variety of teas.
Even after we checked out, they allowed me to leave my car parked on the property for a few hours so we could still explore Key West a little longer before having to drive home. That was much appreciated!
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to be close enough to the action to walk, but far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet.
I just wish they were pet friendly too so I could come back with my dogs :)

We stay at a different every October. This year we booked with Hotwire and ended up at the Paradise Inn. We lucked out! Nice rooms, quiet, beautiful grounds, convenient location and the staff was awesome! We’ve been to Key West about 8 times and stayed a different place each time. The Paradise Inn has been our favorite so far!

This is such a beautiful place. It really feels like your own. Very relaxing and nice atmosphere. The ladies working the front desk are so helpful and nice. Shout out to Debra. The breakfast is basic but nicely done. Only complaint I have is the cleaning lady. On arrival each bed has a York peppermint Patty placed on the fresh sheets. In our room we had found a wrapper from one of the candies on the floor from the previous occupants and our shower bottles didn’t get restocked. BUT it seriously is an amazing place and I would 100% stay here again.

Our 5 night stay at Paradise Inn was wonderful! I would suggest a stay here to anyone visiting the island. It is an adult only Inn with about 18 units. We stayed in the Gumbo Limbo cottage that had 2 porches, a king bed, microwave & mini fridge, and a little living room with sofa & tv. There is breakfast every morning including coffee, tea, fresh fruit, cereal, muffins and such… there is also happy hour every day with wine & cheese from 5−7pm! Happy hour is a nice start to your evening! Great location just one block off Duval Street in Old Towne Key West. Everyone we encountered at the Inn was very helpful and personable. We got in early and were able to drop our luggage off and hang by the pool until our room was ready. Thank you Karen, Greg, and Debra for making our stay at the Inn so comfortable!
note: Bicycles are a popular form of travel in Key West, you can rent some from the front desk very easily.

Nearly perfect! This place is wonderful, charming, private, reserved parking, quiet and is located 1 block off Duval. You can truly walk just about anywhere on the south end of the island without a problem… rent a bike if you want to be a little faster. Want quiet? stay in — no quiet? walk a block away to Duval. We had a king suite with a porch — nice size room — comes with fridge & microwave — also has coffee maker. Breakfast included and they carry gluten free corn muffins (very exciting!) fruits, bagels, cereals, coffees & teas. If you want something bigger they are happy to give you some local breakfast places. Also wine/​cheese in the evening but missed those! Pool is nice sized — not huge but good enough for the number of rooms — hot tub and plenty of nice seating and chairs around if you’re gonna hang out. Free wi-​fi with a nice strong signal. Our room could use a little maintenance but would not keep us from going back — consider this place our home now for any Key West trips! Tip — Book online … avoid the hotel sites … you’ll get a better deal. Booked an additional night and still came out ahead. Almost didn’t review because this place is so great (don’t want it booked out all the time!) but i gave in. ENJOY !!!

We loved staying at the Paradise Inn during our 5 night stay in Key West. The staff is extremely friend and helpful (especially Donna and Greg) and gave us excellent recommendations for local eateries in the area which we ended up visiting multiple times. The location of Paradise Inn is ideal — although it is only a block or two away from Duval Street, ts nice to have this quiet retreat to return to after a night out. We also loved the complimentary breakfast and the free wine and cheese happy hour (which we frequented).
The only complaint that we had was that the cleaning crew didn’t really clean the rooms — they only made our beds and gave us more towels (and also cleaned the rooms really late compared to other hotels we have stayed in).
Overall, I would highly recommend that you stay here on your trip to Key West and if I am ever in the area again, I will definitely be back.

The paradise in was a spectacular cottage style hotel with every amenity you can think of. From a mint on your pillow case and water by your bed two towels at the pool and wine and cheese in the afternoon the Paradise Inn has much to be desired! Staff is wonderful and the rooms are really big and very well maintained. We loved staying at the Paradise in and would definitely return there it is a bit pricey but so is Key West for places to stay.

We booked this place through hotwire using the tool that lets you say how nice of hotel you want and the general area of it. We really lucked out and got this place for around $ 125 less per night than it was going for other places.
First check in is 4 pm which is a bit on the late side. We arrived around 3 not knowing this. Luckily they have on site parking for $ 25 per night (your other option is street parking which is next to impossible to find most of the year). We elected to pay to park on site and they allowed us to park and walk around the area while they finished cleaning our room.
When we returned from walking down to Duval St (just a block away) we went to our room which was very nice. It was clean and everything was in it’s place. They left york peppermint patties on the pillows.
The pool is not heated but even in January it was warm enough to swim in comfortably. The hot tub was small but adequate for the size of the motel. It was set to the perfect temperature where you could sit in it for 30 minutes and not be too hot or cold.
The staff (especially Jim) were great. They were very knowledgeable of the area and were very responsive /​friendly. They were some of the most professional hotel /​motel staff that I’ve come across while still feeling genuine and not fake.
We will be staying here anytime we return to Key West.

Just a block from Duval. The place is beautiful so well kept. The room was spacious. My only complaint is that there was no bed spread or blanket. The mattress wasn’t that comfortable. I hate to even mention it because everything else makes up for it. If your in key west and you want an authentic old key West inn. This is the best place I’ve found.

We stayed here the 1 night we were in Key West. I have nothing negative to say about this place! Our room was clean and spacious. The pool was wonderful and they provided us with clean towels to use at the pool. It’s is a small hotel with few guest so you feel as though you are the only people there. Breakfast is included in your stay and it was wonderful! I was very impressed!

Stayed for only one night, but wish it had been more. This place was so nice! We got a King Suite (a steal at $ 200/​night during the off season). It had a bedroom (with a cozy King sized bed and a door), and a living room area with a pullout couch. My cousin stayed on it and said the bed was really comfortable despite being a pull out. The look is pretty much all white, there are 2 large tv’s in the suite and a nice, clean bathroom. There is also a sink outside the bathroom (so handy). There’s a refrigerator in the room and they leave a couple of bottled waters on the nightstands for guests. Oh, and free WiFi, always a plus. They have a nice little pool area with lounge chairs and a hot tub area a little apart from it. The hotel is near the south end, a couple of streets off Duval, so it is quiet but still convenient. There is a restaurant right across the street (Off the Hook, I think) that serves food all day, good food and convenient to the hotel.
The staff here were really friendly and accomodating. We checked out and were able to leave our stuff in the front office while we went for a stand up paddleboarding tour. Then when we came back we were able to use the pool area and hang out. There is a bathroom and a real shower (with a door) out there so we were able to get cleaned up before leaving Key West. That is such a great service, and much appreciated. We found out you can rent bikes directly from the hotel for $ 15/​day. We didn’t need them but it’s so convenient to just get them there if you do. Would definitely recommend, especially if you can catch a good deal.

Love this place! It’s quaint but at the same time it’s one street over from all the action. The only place I stay when I head down to Key West!

This is a beautiful place to stay in Key West. It really has that authentic «Key West» atmosphere, and it is in a central, convenient location. The staff is friendly and helpful; they were willing to go above and beyond to give personal customer service. There is a happy hour everyday with free wine and cheese! The pool/​spa area is also a great place to hang out.
One major criticism that I have is that the walls in the rooms are paper thin! I could hear people outside all night long.

This hotel… and honestly I wouldn’t even call it a hotel… it’s so much more personal than a hotel… really lives up to its name.
The Florida Keys stand alone IMO far as paradise goes… but this review is for The Paradise Inn, not the Keys.
We arrived late by cab, but still, checking in was a breeze. The sweet guy who was there to greet us was so nice and not at all upset at the late hour of our arrival. He was ever so helpful about making sure we were all squared away with our bike rentals before we were off to our room. You don’t drive in Key West. You walk or bike it. We knew this but hadn’t made previous bike rentals. No worries, though. The hotel anticipated this and set us up with a bike rental company who came and met us there at the hotel the next morning.
The rooms are all spacious and suite like with a living room area and a separate bedroom. The bed is comfy and there’s a microwave and mini fridge in the room. Breakfast is included in the rate and it consists of fresh fruits, yogurt and pastries.
Beautiful place, beautiful space and wonderful customer service. Love it!

Beautiful hotel, great location, reasonable rates– in downtown Key West!
At about $ 200 a night, this was more than we were hoping to spend on a hotel room, but it turned out to be well worth it. The location is just a block away from the center of downtown Key West and an easy walk to either side of the island. Being a block away from Duval St, though, is just far enough that the noise and crowds are hardly noticeable from this location. Onsite (gated) parking is included in the room rate, so once you’re parked you don’t really need to move the car again till you’re leaving (this is a major bonus in a town where parking can be expensive and hard to come by).
The grounds here are beautiful– full of tropical plants and flowers and featuring an outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, and koi pond. The room was also great: a king suite with a sleeper sofa in the living room, it’s own private deck area with a table and chairs, and a mini-​kitchen area (fridge, coffee pot, microwave).
The manager, Conrad, was extremely professional, helpful, and friendly– gladly offering advice on where to go (and where not to go) during our visit. The grounds and hotel staff here had also done an outstanding job at keeping everything clean, orderly, and in good working order.
I would happily stay here again if looking to book a room for a couple of days in Key West!

Really really nice place. Lovely staff, lovely grounds, pool and hot tub and really nice, clean room. We were there in mid-​January and got a great rate, too.
One criticism (and I hope the management is reading this) is the smell. The office was all jazzed up on crappy plug in air freshener and everytime they made up our room, they sprayed something similar all over the place. Aaargh! Stop with the cheap perfume.
