Wine-O

I stumbled upon this wine bar when wandering around Key West and was pleasantly surprised. It is a large, comfortable venue with loads of varieties of excellent wines. I participated in a tasting of several delicious Pinot Noir wines. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the wines are great. Check them out when you’re in Key West!

Upon first walking in this beautiful wine bar, we were happy with the décor and the amount of great wines all over! We love wine and this place really appealed to us!
We were quickly greeted by the server who would be helping us, she explained the menu and their happy hour. We had questions about a couple of wines and she was more than happy to bring us samples of them, to help us make a decision.
We decided to order some food, as their food prices were amazingly low, considering how beautiful the place is. We had not seen our server in a little while, so I asked a different server (a beautiful blonde lady) if she could put in the order for us and she said we needed to wait for our server. I didn’t see this as very good service. But when our server came back, she was quick to put in our order and finish helping us out.
The smoked gouda tater tots were AMAZING! The caprese was very nice too!
Overall, this place ROCKS! It really does! We’re definitely going to go back! We just hope they clear up their training and customer service a little, to make them a 4 to 5 star place!

Didn’t even acknowledge the group of 6 that I came in with. Even after one of my friends stated that we were sitting in the back lounge area. Everywhere we go we are super courteous but this place was rude. Waited 10 minutes and nothing. So we walked out! Guess $ 100 pre gaming money to blow on two birthdays isn’t something high on their list.

Great deal for happy hour. Quiet, excellent wines, nice vibe and stylish interior.
Really liked the space to get off the crowded and hot Duval Street and cool off over some quality wine rather than frozen sugar drinks and bland beer.
Plaid some relaxing lounge music too. It wasn’t too busy which is a shame, it’s an excellent value especially with $ 5 wines at happy hour.

Cool space but the «tastings» left something to be desired. I had hoped they would be more excited to have customers but the waitress seemed pretty unengaged with the clients and with the wines. It was like, here’s some wine, here’s the sheet to describe, no we can’t accommodate any changes. Done.
Key West has a lot of bars and lounges that are super fun. We love our wine tastings so stopped in here but I recommend other places before coming here. Also, I definitely see a fun market for wine tasting rooms in Key West.

This is my favorite bar in Key West. The atmosphere is welcoming and classy. Our server at the bar was knowledgable and I loved her accent! The wine flights were not too expensive and I admired how the lounge was designed. If you enjoy good wine as much as I do, you’ll want to check this place out.

Not sure if it’s any good. Went in there, sat down, completely ignored by the waitstaff, left…

Great wine bar in the middle of the hustle of Duval street. Staff is very helpful and willing to provide advice and wine tasting to help decide what you want to drink. A little quieter than the typical Duval Street bar. Obviously wine-​focused but they have some beer and a limited food menu. Happy hour prices are great.

This place felt more like a store than a bar to me for some reason. Even though they serve by the glass and have seating. I like it when they are sampling a featured wine and you can try a sip. The bottle prices are pretty good, and you can drink a bottle here. So if you are with a group, that can be a pretty good deal.

The Pinot Noir wine flight was great but the service was terrible. Very slow and not friendly at all!

Very nice place to relax, clean, comfortable, cool environment. Great menu of wines to choose from, cheese and meat plates as well.

The red wine by-​the-​glass selection went down hill since my last review. It took me four attempts to find a palatable wine. I wound up settling for a Cab that was a step below the basic household Woodbridge Cab.
To further define, I had originally ordered a Pino Noir which was not acceptable to my taste. The bartender said to me … «are you sure you are in the mood for a Pino Noir and maybe you really want something else instead?» My husband and I couldn’t believe it. I’m thinking they didn’t have a large enough selection to offer additional Pino Noir options so she was trying to push me towards something else. Who knows, but what a stupid thing to say.
They do have a wine club you can join which is free, and you get 15%-off a bottle, so we joined.
Next review will be on a bottle purchase utilizing the card. Stay tuned…

The wine (Rombauer) was good but the service from (Sammy) was terrible! Our group of 10 was from California where we have many great wineries… however NEVER have we ever been told to keep the noise down for merely talking to one another??? It wasn’t like the place was packed or something… as a matter of fact the place was empty until we entered it and only two other people came in before we left! We came to Key West for an enjoyable vacation… every other establishment welcomed us and showed us a great time exept for WineO! Needless to say… we finished our bottles of wine and then left this rude bar to spend our money elsewhere with other businesses that enjoyed our company. Share the word because «Sammy» needs to find another job if this place wants to be successful!

What a cool place. Definitely stop in here when you go to Key West. Great wine and they offer wine and champagne flights, who can resist that? The charcuterie plate looked amazing. The ambiance, even better. The walls are covered in shelved wine from the ceiling to the floor and the bathrooms are hidden behind secret walls. They have couches or you can have a seat at the very modern shaped bars. I wish I could move this place to my hometown :(

What this upscale modern wine lounge in Key West??? As we were walking after dinner to a roof top bar, it was hot and humid and I was becoming tired. Then I spot this gorgeous wine lounge and look at our friends and ask if we can check it out. They were just as excited to check it out as they have never seen it. Yes this is something you would totally see in South Beach Miami. The décor is modern, chic, beautiful chandeliers, red velvet couches and built in wine displays from floor to ceiling.
Loved the round bar in the middle, so cool and chic. They had ladders and everything is black, white and red. Super sexy! Love the name they chose, sad I didn’t come up with it. So being the wine snob that I am I immediately start checking everything out. Luckily, I know my prices very well and wine. They had a very nice selection of wines.
It is quite large and so much to see. They have beautiful wine stems to drink from and even sell them. I am upset I didn’t purchase any but oh i will on my next visit. They have t-​shirts with their logo for sale and the staff wear adorable logo tank tops. In the windows they have giant changing light up heads, ha ha great conversation pieces.
I spotted a great Champagne gift set with two gorgeous stems and was curious of the price. I love gift sets especially when they are a reasonable price. When I asked the very lovely lady told me it was $ 150.00. I was thinking no that is about average then she stated oh it is our last one I can give you 20% off. OK, you don’t have to twist my arm so I happily purchased it. I love this Champagne and was excited to get it at a good price.
I then asked her if they charge a corkage fee if we drink a bottle on premise. She told me there is no corkage fee but they would be closing soon since it was close to 11 pm. We said ok and continued to check out the wines. She then came up to us and said a large party had just walked in so if we wanted to sit and relax with a bottle that would be fine. We found a Super Tuscan that was reasonably priced so we sat at a great table with the red couch and it was very nice. Marisol purchased a bottle to take home for a gift.
Our server was excellent and she took great care of us. The only reason this is not a five star for me is some of the wines were an excellent price while others were way out of what I would consider a good fair price. I found the pricing to be all over the place. So if you don’t know your prices well you can pay some high prices. I would like to see more consistency in pricing then this place would for sure warrant five stars.
This place is beautiful and I loved it. Wish we had one close to home but for now we will just have to make more trips to visit. I so look forward to it.
If you are looking for a classy place away from the craziness of the keys this IS the place to come.

Key West, in all it’s quirky glory, has many bars that cater all sorts of genres (beer lovers have The Porch and Krawl… cocktail lovers have The Other Side and Virgilio’s… frozen «let’s get ripped and party» drink lovers have Flying Monkey and Fat Tuesday… and so much more)…
And wine lovers too have their options… for almost two decades, there has been Grand Vin (which has been popular with the local’s crowd and fit the mold to what locals look for… laid back, avoiding any pretentious B.S., fair prices and friendly people)… and in recent years a great addition has been Vino’s On Duval (which has done so well they have opened up two more locations on the main land (Vino’s In The Grove and Vino’s On Las Olas)…
So when I was walking down Duval Street with some wine-​loving friends that were visiting us and I saw this fairly new wine bar with all it’s glitzy style and ultra modern décor and I thought «what’s this crap doing here»… after all, we ain’t Miami or New York City… I mean, do I have to go home and switch my flip-​flops and t-​shirt to loafers and a button down?
But our friends wanted to see what they had to offer and check out the prices… I didn’t mind since it was hot outside and they have some cold A/​C…
I don’t pretend to know my wine… but even me, with my limited wine knowledge, recognized they had some well-​known and respected wines and my friends (who are respected for their wine knowledge) confirmed that the prices were extremely fair. And it’s one hell of an impressive inventory… all out in the open on built-​in wine racks and rolling library ladders to reach the top shelf bottle storage… plus impressive chandelier to compliment the style.
Fair enough that our «let’s check this place out» turned into a we’ll have that bottle to drink know… that bottle to bring back home and a gift set (wine with glasses) to go as well… it wasn’t cheap but it was all very fair prices…
The décor was not my cup of tea (for the keys life) initially, but it grew on my quick… and the girl working the counter was so welcoming and knowledgable that it made the experience that much better. Even when it got late and the closing time was approaching fast, she never urged us to leave; we felt welcome to remain even as Duval was coming to a close.
One last detail that I thought was pretty cool… I walked back and forth looking for the bathroom to the point where I asked for assistance… Secret Door… which opened to enter into the lobby of the La Concha Hotel’s bathrooms (and just like WineO, the bathrooms were high end and nice).

Wine heaven!!! Walked into this place of Duvall and felt like I stepped into a dream with my husband. Excellent selection, ambience was perfect. Ordered the cheese platter with a flight of red. Bottles for purchase very reasonably priced. Purchased a Chardonnay 2013 Rombauer, excellent! We will definitely come back…

When you come to Key West, you don’t think of wine. This is a beer/​fufu drink town. A couple of years ago this place opened at the Crown Plaza hotel. Awesome décor, and overall great atmosphere. Excellent selection of wines by the glass as well as flights.

Fantastic wine bar on Duval street! I suggest you do the wine flights, they are delicious. 3 different options from various wine categories.
It’s the perfect escape from the cheap draft beer dive bars and fried I’m-not-sure-what-that-was.
If you see a bottle you like you can purchase it with no corkage fee, what you don’t drink you take home.
I really like this place, they offer cheese and charcuterie to cleanse the palate while you sip on your favorite glass of Vino.

Great place to sample some wines! Huge variety of wines! The service is good and everyone is very frendly! The décor is really pretty inside and clean! It’s a part of the Crowne plaza so they also have a secret door to their lobby! Well, it’s not a secret but looks like it should be! If you like wine, check out this place!
