YUM. Bighorn Bistro was an unexpected win. My friends and I came here with a reservation so we were seated promptly. The restaurant is on the bottom floor of the resort. It is very swanky. Like rich middle aged couple on a ski trip and their kids went to bed, let’s get some wine and steak dinner in our pullovers and polos sorta fancy. LOL. The tables are also HUGE. We had 6 people at a round table and I couldn’t even reach the people on each side of me if I stuck my arms out LOL. That kinda sucked, because I prefer dining situations that are cozier and more intimate. It might have been better for smaller groups(groups of 2 or 3 maybe). Noise level was good, not loud but not dead silent thankfully. Our food came out super quickly too! No hangry people here! I ordered the pork chop and it was DELICIOUS. Very large chunk of pork chop so it was a great portion size. It had this orange flavored sauce to it. I wasn’t too sure about the sound of it, but I ordered the porkchop anyways. And boy, am I glad I did! Normally I don’t like the flavors of fruit and meat mixing, but this dish did it beautifully. The porkchop was savory and juicy, and the orange sauce seemed to balance out the saltiness of the pork with its sweetness. There was also a bread pudding thing with mushrooms in it served with the porkchop. It was ok. Lol. It was kinda weird because it was like room temperature, borderline cold. Not sure if it was supposed to be like that or warmer. I think I would have preferred it a little warmer. It wasn’t a stunner compared to the pork chop but hey you win some, you lose some. The pork chop was delicious enough to make the dish exceptional anyways. Someone also ordered steak that came with truffle fries at our table, so we all shared the fries. They were amazing of course, because ya know I’m obsessed with truffle. You can’t go wrong with truffle fries! This place is definitely a nice, upscale but not stuffy sorta restaurant. Pricy. But worth it if you’re looking for a high quality meal.

What a wonderful location with great mountain views for a special dinner. I highly recommend the Lamb Loin cooked medium rare, served over a delicious risotto.

After a long day of skiing we wanted a nice meal to round out our trip. We didn’t have a reservation but the front desk was able to squeeze us in. We had the prime rib special of the night. The service was high class and the prime rib was cooked to perfection. Will definitely be returning here next ski trip in Keystone, our favorite of the four restaurants we ate at throughout the trip!

I really like this place. Get a table near the lake at night and it’s so beautiful to watch. The drinks are delicious as is the food. I love that you can make this place very elegant or very casual, up to you! The bar specials and private couches are also nice. Love coming here!

Ritzy-looking and located in a hotel, this is not what we were expecting for a Super Bowl wingfest. The buds and I stopped in for their Super Bowl all-you-can-eat wings buffet. $ 18 for a beer plus AYCE wings. The guys loved it. I couldn’t eat enough wings to justify the price, so I got the poutine. The poutine is non traditional but I liked it — it was really delicious. I liked how they used sweet potato waffle fries. The cheese(while not cheese curds like the traditional poutine recipe) was delicious as well. Service was good.

We had the pork poutine for an appetizer, it was really good. I had the steak, it was pretty good. For dessert I had peanut butter cheesecake, HORRIBLE! It tasted like frozen peanut butter with extremely sugary jelly on top. I LOVE peanut butter, this concoction is wrong. If not for the terrible dessert, it would have been 4 stars.

So yummy!!! We went here on our last night at the resort and so glad we found this place! There were four of us and we each licked our plates clean! The beef tenderloin, bison pasta and shrimp and grits were AMAZING! I had the Moscow mule and that too was INCREDIBLE. Peanut butter cheesecake was«amazingly incredible» and the root beer float was TODIEFOR. Overall a great dinner at a beautiful restaurant!

Dined in the bar this trip and had the best burger I have had in a long time and my wife had an excellent Reuben sandwich ! Throw in a couple of cold beers on tap and it was perfect ! Can’t wait to eat here again !

Every aspect was slightly disappointing. If you are looking to eat in a nice atmosphere after a long day of skiing and don’t mind spending a decent amount, this is your place. However, if you are going for an above average culinary experience, do not waste your time. The menu has many elements with potential, but everything we ordered was missing something(flavor wise), or was excessive in some other aspect(such as goat cheese portion size). Every dish was heavy, but not super flavorful. Do not get the crème brûlée! It tastes like nothing. The beet salad is tasty, and so is the falafel.

Our experience at bighorn was generally positive as far as food quality. Upon arrival, I asked the waitress how she was, her response was a dead, «busy». So we felt pretty pressured to order quickly and get out. Service was very slow. We had a starter of the hummus, veggies, and olives… as pictured, we had found an entire clove of garlic in our hummus, the waitress didn’t care much. So, as a positive it shows that they make it themselves, but it was a very unpleasant surprise to bite into. Drinks: I ordered the martini with basil, gin, and lime based on the waitresses recommendations… She stated it was her FAVORITE martini listed, it was good, but very acidic. She stated that they had a new bartender, so I ordered another after finishing mine, and requested less lime juice to make the drink less acidic… It was less acidic, but she added some gross overly sweet syrup and it didn’t have any basil in it, which was previously my favorite part of the drink(the garnish… dream big). I informed the waitress, and she responded in a flat cadence that it was her least favorite drink on the menu. I told her that I only ordered it because she recommended it as HER favorite, and she shrugged it off saying that other people like it, but she didn’t, so it’s no wonder that I didn’t either… A lying waitress. Hurray! So I paid $ 20 for a Martini expecting it to to be the best, yet she later told me it was the worst… Tacky, and shows very little integrity. After a 45 minute wait, our food was fantastic, but even stating our issues with the garlic in the food didn’t come with an apology, or a discount… just excuses and a «I don’t really care» mannerism. So, it put us off on returning in person. We chose to order room service instead of bothering the«busy» staff on our last night, we both ordered the exact same dish we enjoyed at the bistro… But, the food arrived room temperature, and the taste seemed dulled compared to how it was prior. The beers were barely cold, and the food was less visually pleasing than we experienced in person… bluntly, it looked like a 9 year old plated the dish. I honestly think I would have a higher respect for Keystone Lodge and Spa AND Bighorn Bistro if we would have been compensated for all of the low standards that we were shown, and the blatant lies we were fed, yet nothing was offered or even received like it was a concern to them. The traffic they get is so high, that I think they really don’t care when one party isn’t satisfied. So, we left feeling overcharged and disappointed. Sadly, our memories from our 5 year anniversary were not affected positively. I’m rarely a complainer, but this is one of the very few experiences I’ve ever had on vacation where I felt this shorted and disregarded.

Pretty good for limited restaurants in Keystone. It was the beginning of their winter menu which had some great main entrée options. My boyfriend and I had the two steaks: Ribeye and filet. Both were salty but good portions. Skip the oyster appetizer, it was nothing to rave about. We watched other servers give detailed descriptions about the entrees but ours was not as involved. Also other wait staff kept taking our plates and talking to us making for less of an experience with our server specifically. Would have liked more interaction or info on suggestions or desserts. Probably will not be back.

My hubby and I enjoyed this place for several happy hours in the bar area and one dinner. It’s nice but not too pretentious. There are tvs, couches and tables for board games in bar. The dining room looks like a nice place for a romantic dinner and overlooks lake. The food we had was great. We tried wings, fries, chicken sandwich, beer and a few more things. I loved it the most because it was in our hotel and walking distance from any place around the lake… drink on!

New local in town and checking out what I can walk to. There are great views in the main dining room but unfortunately absent from the more relaxed«bar» side– unless u r looking to watch tv and not the lake and mountains — in which case it’s got ya covered. The lobster bisque comes well presented w table side pouring over fennel foam– not my favorite but not bad, many will like it– tiny bit of lobster in it more traditional bisque than new style w lots of lobster(which I prefer) — also kinda cold may be better if it is ever served warmer. For main course went with the Colorado roasted chicken. Amazing! The watermelon BBQ sauce sounds odd but is tremendous — I subbed mashed for potato salad — I’ll try as the chef suggests I was so impressed want to go with his full vision next time. Great service and atmosphere — my favorite local place to eat on the slightly higher end so far.

The BF and I ate here on our last night in Keystone. We started off with the duck confit and gnocchi, which was absolutely delicious. We savored every bite and would happily order again. I ordered the seared scallops and my boyfriend ordered the lobster macaroni and cheese. We ate every bite, even though we were stuffed. We couldn’t stop eating! Everything was so good and the view was absolutely beautiful. We finished the night with the crème brûlée. Everything was wonderful and we would definitely eat here again!

Bistro Menu… The menu choices are small and the prices are too high. I went with a lighter meal and only took a couple bites… stay away from the Quinoa Stuffed Pepper. I asked for a beer menu and didn’t get one until my second beer. If you’re looking for wine, the choices are there. The bread and butter was good. The taste of the onion and poppy seed roll stays for a while so if your with a date or spouse, I’d hold off.

A good place for burgers, the Bighorn Bistro and Bar is a relaxed restaurant located in the Keystone Lodge. The cocktails are OK, but their bloody mary disappointed as the seasoning mix was less than optimal. Service was just OK but started to disappoint when the restaurant/bar got very busy. Enjoy Keystone!

All is good at the Bighorn. Three of us ate dinner on a Friday evening. I had the quinoa stuffed poblano which was excellent. I also tried some of my friend’s buffalo steak and it was very good as well. The service was very good and the atmosphere and view are nice One note on the buffalo — Bighorn’s medium-rare is a legit medium-rare. I usually get beef cooked medium and then order buffalo or bison medium-rare. Often when I do this I find that the bison is still over-cooked. That was not the case here

We dined in a party of six and the service was fantastic. While the food was good, the soups lacked a bit of flavor and seasoning in my opinion. The goat cheese and brussel sprout appetizers were very good, and everyone enjoyed their meals, but none were really over the top. Two members of our party had the lobster mac and cheese which had huge chunks of lobster and both really enjoyed the dish. My blackened bison rib eye was also good. The mango chutney really went well with it. I would recommend coming here for the service and ambiance first, food second.

Everything I had here was delicious!!! The first night I stayed at the Keystone Lodge & Spa, I took the shuttle to River Run to find dinner. Yuck… none of those restaurants seemed too good. Then I found out about Bighorn just downstairs in the hotel and I loved it! I actually ate here two days in a row because of the yummy food and convenience. When there’s a conference going on, this place gets pretty busy. Most people have to make reservations to get a table. The first night, we only had a party of 3 so there was no wait for a table. The second night, I sat at the bar which has a slightly different menu than the restaurant. –Pan Roasted Chicken: Wow this really surprised me! I expected just a regular whatever chicken dish since I was trying to be kinda healthy. However, this was freaking delicious. –Summer Berry Salad: Meh. the combination of flavors with a bit weird to me. –Bruschetta: DELICIOUS! –Flatbread: YUM! I wish there was a different sauce though. –Don’t get the blueberry cheesecake. The consistency and flavor was super off. Does not really taste like a cheesecake. –Peach Cobbler: YUMMMMM This review is just for the food. I didn’t have to pay for dinner, so I’m not sure if that made a difference in the number of stars I gave. :)

This restaurant is in the Keystone Lodge, and it has absolutely delicious food in addition to remarkable views from your table. Food: we started with calamari, which was fantastic and complimented with an awesome dipping sauce that beats cheap red cocktail sauce any day. They serve warm bread varieties to the table with three different butter flavors, which makes eating bread more fun and tasty. For the entrée, we both had the chicken, which comes with sweet potato dumplings that are exquisite. The garlic gravy, beans and leeks bring the whole thing together — it’s a fabulous dish. Service: Lindy is awesome. She came to the table at all the right moments and was really helpful about wine choices and entrée decisions. Loved the experience. If you’re in Keystone… go here — it’s an awesome experience.
