History

Established in 2012.

Rio Event Design is run by business partners and married couple, Carolina Carabetti and Rodrigo Botta. Originally from Brazil, the two met in New York City’s TriBeCa in 2009 on Rodrigo’s birthday. Soon after, the two began a relationship, eventually marrying the following year. The couple then moved to Maui, Hawaii in hopes of a better life and to pursue their joint dream of running their own business on event design and planning. After a few years of hard work and fruitful collaboration, Rodrigo and Carolina, both aged 32, proudly launched Rio Event Design to serve the event design needs for events all over Hawaii.
