Bed Bath & Beyond

I love this store, and can literally spend over an hour just looking through the amazing items they carry.
Don’t be thrown off, if you get lost of need to be in and out quickly, just approach a team member and they’ll hook you up to what you need in no time.
Really nice team members, great variety of merch, super ideas for dressing up your home or just stocking up on essentials.
Now that they also carry the personal care section, it’s kind of a one stop shop for a warming winter spa experience, or a cool summer time.

Poor customer service. Also this store was hard to find as it’s hidden in the corner of the plaza off Rand. Only a few cars in the parking lot while every other store within the plaza had a full parking lot of cars. I don’t basically shop at there stores as I can find similar products when I’m at Sears or Target. I was at different location I think it was crystal lake and they sell wine and some dry goods groceries. Kind of odd for Bed Bath & Beyond to start selling things like that makes them now follow every other retailer and no longer makes them different from the rest.

Who doesn’t need to purchase items for their bedroom, bathroom or beyond those rooms?
This is the BB&B store that I stop at as I head home. Lately the most common purchases I’ve made have been for Keurig Vue Cups, and I use my $ 5 off coupon (s).
But if I need certain utensils/​cookware, bed sheets, bath towels, I purchase them here. If I have a non-​expired 20% coupon, I would use them & save money. You cannot beat their selection.
I also like their home decorating section. Great ideas to accent your walls, floors or furniture. If you want to organize your closet, they have it all. They even have items for your dog/​cat.
I usually skip past the toiletries section but since I cannot use my Ulta 20% coupon on major make up products, I will use the BB& B 20% off coupon & purchase them here instead.
News Flash: Before if a customer had an expired 20% off coupon, BB&B stores would let you use it. But «now,» they have a short period for customers to use the 20% off option. And if you are past that particular date, you can only save 10%. Wait, it gets worse —- If the expiration date for 10% has past, you do not get any discount. I guess the company ran a comparison report & realized they can make more money by setting date limits.
In reference to staff, when they are available, they are helpful & my shopping is done quickly. But if they are nowhere to be found, then it gets frustrating.
BB&B is a good one-​stop shop.

Today was a pretty landmark day for me.
I like to consider myself a bit of a rebel. In my younger days I was all talkin’ back to teachers, damn the man, and rearranging letters on church signs to say something snarky. Basically an IRL troll. Nowadays my rebellion comes in the form of passing off long-​expired coupons as valid at long big-​bix home-​wares stores. Yolo?
I don’t often come to Bed Bath & Beyond, but I’d always heard rumors of them accepting past-​good/​expired coups and I’ve been itching for the longest time to try my luck.
Usually when I do this, I end up with egg on my face. Just a few examples would be me as possibly the only person in the world who joined Über and didn’t get an automatic $ 20 credit, or not getting the advertised deal of paying $ 1 for the 1^st month of a storage unit, or being the only person in the history of the world that Nordstrom denies a return to. Those are all me.
So you can understand how I would be both excited and weary of using my waaaay past expired coupon on a bed-​skirt I’d been eying for all of 5-​seconds. A part of me may even have broken a sweat in anticipation of using said contraband coupon.
I found most of the store to be a bit overcrowded and with a really tight set-​up. You might have to wait in line to even enter the aisle you’d like to shop in, but in contrast to that, they had plenty of registers open so I really only had to wait in line and anticipate my coupon usage for like a second.
I greeted the register girl kindly and asked how her day was, you know, buttering her up just a bit, then slipped her last year’s 20% off mailer and quickly revoked my eye-​contact as I started to playfully eye their counter display items. Then came the longest 4 second of my life as she scanned my single item, and told me the discounted price — It worked! Success! I’m getting away with it!
From their I swiped my credit card the way I’d suspect James Dean would’ve. Like a rebel without a cause… with a brand-​new 20% taupe fitted bed skirt. Score!

I receive approximately one million BB&B coupons every year and since I can’t resist a good deal, I often find myself browsing the shelves here. This location is on my way home from work and is the one I visit most often.
This location is a little bit small but they still have a ton of stuff packed in here. It can get a little crowded in the aisles, but during the week it never is very busy so it’s not a big problem.
The associates here are very friendly and helpful. I’ve had to do an order online before from this store and there was some confusion about what was listed in the registry and what they had in store and the associate helping me took the time to call a few different stores to make sure I bought the correct item.

I shop here frequently and have had great service and the prices are excellent. Last week I purchased a Mr. Coffee machine and after 3 days it ceased working. I took it back to the store and told them of my complaint. I did not have my receipt. Customer Service merely said to pick up a new one in exchange for the broken model. They have always had great service.

Based on my visits I would say that the staff is always caring and asks if you need assistance.
The isles seem to be getting smaller as I am sure that they are trying to put as many items in your face as they can.
I pretty much know what I am looking for so I don’t need to spend too much time looking around.
As like all Bed Bath & Beyond stores, they have most everything you could need and use for you home and kitchen.

This store is smaller than others, which means that they have less in stock and no section for fine dining ware. I came here to purchase a gift for a wedding shower and there were very few items actually in stick which was disappointing. The items on the list that were in stock did not always match up with the names on the actual items, which was a bit frustrating. I also find it frustrating that everything is so overpriced and you have to use the 20% off coupon to get it at a slightly overpriced cost. I wish the coupon was just 20% off the total bill rather than one item. This makes me opt for a more expensive item rather than buying multiple less expensive items.
The downfall to this particular Bed, Bath and Beyond is that the employees are not very helpful and everyone is super slow

I’m a fan of this location — maybe because it’s my local store and I frequent this one… but I always opt to come to this location over the Vernon Hills location. I know where everything is in this one, it’s laid out nice. There’s always employees around. They usually have what I’m looking for. The size of this one is nice, too. It seems larger than the Vernon Hills store, but smaller than Schaumburg. They’re always very accomodating, and I’m the queen of returns — I don’t recall ever having an issue.
Yay! Love my BBB!

Overstocked, tight-​aisled, 20%-off coupon wonderland of surprisingly fantastic customer service with hit or miss checkout lines.
Woo, that was a mouthful but that’s how I always feel when I go in there.
Give me 15 seconds to stare blankly at a wall of pots or a mountain of overpriced-​sheets and out pops a sales associate from a smörgåsbord of towels ready to answer my questions.
This place has successfully kept me from online shopping at their store by only accepting their 4-​year-​old coupons in the store.
On any note, I stopped in with a list of wants and needs for those on my holiday shopping list. The place is packed and the aisles are too small for my cart, let alone anyone else to stand in the aisle with me to try and look at something.
To the other reviewer’s point, the employees can be a bit unprofessional at times but their helpfulness and the fact that this is a big-​box retailer and not the Nieman Marcus of home goods keep me feeling ok about their attitudes.
This location is generally less busy than others I’ve been to and tend to have what I need in stock. I’ll go back. After all, I still have 139 saved coupons that have to be used sometime, right? Right.

I will never return to this Bed Bath and Beyond ever again.
We will drive 20 minutes out of our way to go to a different one. The manager and the staff were all unprofessional and rude.
For the last twenty minutes that the store was open, the overwhelmingly uncomfortable and obnoxious stares (by both the staff and the manager) made it very clear that they did not want me there.
Upon entering the store I was immediately met by the manager. With his arms crossed and a bitter look upon his face he demanded to know why I was there.
Gee, I wonder why someone walks into a retail store. Maybe it was to watch a movie, possibly to visit a petting zoo — or wait, wait just a moment, could it be to shop? Could it have been to purchase your wares? Shocking.
I was in the store for less than 10 minutes, probably close to 5, and throughout the entirety of my visit the manager stood there staring at me, watching me walk through the aisles almost in anticipation for me to steal something. How tragically polite.
When I eventually made my way up to the front with my purchase, my cashier screams out at her manager «I HATE YOU BOB». Classy. Professional. It’s clear to me that she is in line for a Nobel Peace Prize. Especially when she then carried on to complain to me that she «wasted _​_​hours of my day here today». She then yelled across me, when I was less than a foot away, to another coworker «I JUST GOT PAID TO DO NOTHING TODAY» — with a voice filled with sarcasm and disdain.
Here’s a hint to you, the staff of Bed Bath and Beyond in Kildeer. If you don’t want a job, then quit. There are plenty of people that are suffering in this economy right now that would love to be in your position. Be grateful for what you have and next time, wait 5 minutes until the store was empty to bitch and moan to one another.
