Greg and Eden started our family-​owned business to fulfill the needs of visitors vacationing on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. What started as a labor of love, has grown into a strong small business that serves the total OBX area through 4 store locations, and delivery service.

I’ve never rented a kayak before, rented from this place today and seemed like very reasonable rates. A one person
Kayak was about 30 bucks, two person was about 41 bucks. They will deliver them to you and pick them up after you’re finished or you can pick them up and drop them off. We picked ours up around noon and didn’t have to drop them until the next day around 5 pm or so. They also have a location in Avon. Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Pretty pleased overall.

Yuck. We rented baby equipment from this service in 2014, including a crib, stroller, gate, and high chair. The high chair had NOT been cleaned. It was disgusting. I planned on contacting the company for a replacement, but with an 8-​month-​old and a 5-​year-​old, it just wasn’t worth interrupting our vacation. Luckily the crib was clean (I cleaned it anyway) or I WOULD have called to complain. Just cleaned the high chair myself. Will NOT rent from this company again for our 2015 OBX vacation. We’ve rented from several companies in Myrtle Beach, SC and NEVER had this problem. Ocean Atlantic didn’t even set anything up, they just dumped the equipment in the car port. AWFUL.

I used to rave about this place — but now I am frustrated by them — I ordered kayaks at 8 am and they promised delivery in between 11 am and 6 pm — I called at 3 pm to double check after seeing a delivery to a neighboring house — they told me «it’s on the truck — it will be there shortly» –now 8 pm — still no sign of them or even a phone call to let me know it’s delayed ! But they still want to charge me for the they day I did not have the kayaks– awful’
Update — the owner and manager contacted me to apologize — they adjusted the bill appropriately — I appreciate that they took responsibility and made things right

We rented bikes for the week with Ocean Atlantic today. It was only $ 35 for a week (as opposed to $ 15 – 20 a day). They delivered in under 90 min to our door. I was a bit surprised they were all Beach Cruiser Bikes with Back Pedal brakes. Personally, I’ve never ridden one of these. Honestly, it freaked me out and I didn’t know how to use them. These things should come with instructions! After everyone stared at me like I was some sort of alien creature, I took a deep breath and took off. About 5 min later, I was golden. Wide comfy seats, free locks though «no one really steals here», and helmets included.
Be on the lookout for those discount books — $ 5 off!

Friendly staff and fast service make this place great! I was in and off with my bike in less than five minutes. The bike was comfy and well maintained. Drop off was equally as easy. Would definitely recommend to friends!
