Aamco Transmissions

This place is garbage. They do terrible work. I payed them $ 2100.00 to rebuild the clutch on my RX-​8 and they didn’t even replace the clutch pedal!
Completely untrustworthy. They take ANY shortcuts they can, and don’t tell you. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!! I rate them MINUS 4 stars!

This place gave me an estimate of $ 1,400 to rebuild my transmission. After they took my transmission out of my truck they said it was completely destroyed and it would cost $ 2,300 to put a rebuilt one back in, so instead of using the transmission they wanted to put it I found one that was half the price and had it sent to them and they did a horrible job installing it. I think because I was able to find a better deal elsewhere they didn’t really care how they installed it, not only that some how it would pop out of third gear and it was leaking transmission oil, so I asked them about it and they said they couldn’t do anything because it was an internal problem and they didn’t provide the transmission. So after I took it home I pulled the transmission out and saw they only put 2 bolts back where the shifter bolts to the transmission which is where the oil was leaking from. I had to return the tranny back to the other shop I bought it from and they told me aamco put the wrong transmission fluid which caused third gear to pop. Not only did aamco do a horrible job with my transmission they also forgot to put the bracket that held my exhaust pipe to the transfer case so it wouldn’t rattle which caused my exhaust pipe to snap. So pretty much what I’m trying to say in this review is don’t trust aamco to do anything right, they are dishonest and they will do anything to rip you off. I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone.

This place is AMAZING! The people there are so kind and compassionate, they blew me away. I am a 27 year old female, which translates to: I get robbed at mechanic shops almost every time. Sadly, I suffered a stroke about 5 months ago and immediately after being discharged, my car decided to take a crap on me. The staff at Aamco not only fixed my car completely, but they also ensured I didn’t spend nearly close to what I should have with all of the repairs they did! They are absolutely amazing and deserve business from EVERYBODY in this town… And whatever I can do to make that happen for them, I am more than happy to do. Please make sure you go to them for all of your car needs!

We took my wives vehicle here because we had a wiring issue and was told it would take 3 days, later we were told it would take 3 weeks. Ok I get that they had to get a new computer. What I’m mad about is that they left it the vehicle unlocked and it was broken into and my wifes GPS, DVD player, and her radar detecter were all stolen. We have a alarm on it and all they had to do was use the remote to activate it. This is negligence on their part. Also they had oil all over the carpet on the drivers side. They fixed the issue but cost me $ 500 in lost stuff. I donot recommend this place to anybody unless you want your stuff left out for thieves.
