Puerto Mazatlan

We really enjoy this place. The street tacos are my favorite. They have great drinks and good service! They aren’t «Mazatlan» so don’t mistake them, this is Puerto Mazatlan. They do not accept the Mazatlan coupons. Lol.

We have been in the City for 16 years. We go to different restaurants and rate them based on their customer service, politeness, and how clean their food tastes. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed at this particular restaurant Puerto Mazatlan. When we asked our waitress a question about the menu, she kept saying huh? She couldn’t understand us I guess. Before I ordered the kids meals for my children, (because they ALWAYS drink water) I specifically asked her 3 times if the lemonade was included in the kids meals like every other restaurant we go to; and she said yes! She then brought us half water half lemonade for my two boys. When I asked her again after she brought them, she said no and I told her I was confused, so she said she would take it off. Once she gave me the receipt, it wasn’t taken off. It was only $ 2, but I would have never ordered them had she not said they were included. I asked to talk to another lady and whoaaaa, she was so rude. She said, «What are you talking about? Read the menu!» I asked her to please take it off as a customer courtesy because her employee gave false info. She proceeded to be so rude to me and went off on me. She told me that I’m rude and she won’t do shit for me only $ 1 since it’s half water half lemonade. She got in my face and started rolling her head in front of my children. This was the most shocking restaurant adventure I have ever encountered! My little kids said, Mommy she was not a nice person!” WHO DOES THAT? JUST TAKE CARE OF A DOLLAR SO YOU HAVE RETURN CUSTOMERS. If you want tasteless Mexican food, watered down salsa and margaritas, this is your place. Atmosphere… not great, service… not great, food… worst I have ever had. Bad, overpriced Mexican joint. Enter at your own peril.

First, we are from out of town and wanted a place close to the hotel. Unilocal to the rescue. We came in ten minutes before closing and the service was warm and gracious which gets them points from me. Looks like pretty much every other Americanized Mexican food place. Two kinds of salsa, one hot one mild, both tasty. We both had the carne asada and the meat portion was generous. It was a little tough, but still yummy.

My husband and I eat here a couple times a month. The food is delicious. And their Cadillac Margaritas right on!
We have tried just about everything on the menu. And it has all been good.
Special requests are always honored.
Great Mexican food, friendly service

I love this place. Have been going for years. Some of the best food and service in the area. We moved so we don’t get here much, but on occasion make a special trip. A definite try. Not like the other Mazatlan restaurants.

We have eaten here for almost weekly for the past 5 years. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Salsa is good enough where I think they make it in house. Great chicken mole. Pollo fundido is a favorite as is the veggie plate. Definitely get the whole beans with whatever you order, as well as the amazing Cadillac margarita.

My husband and I took my Mother-​in-​law out for mexican food at «Puerto Mazatlan «in King city. It was around 11:30 and the first clue should have been there’s nobody here. Plus the smell as soon as you come in the business it smelled of mold and old food… I think? Well my mother-​in-​law was looking forward to having mexican food so we sat down, but if it was just my husband and I we would have left. Well we ordered, and my food looked horrible! I ordered a chile rayano (which was a chile omelet with cheese inside) with a enchilada it came with rice and beans. The beans were pulverized, it look like something out of a baby’s diaper. Nothing was fresh. Plus it was expensive for what we got. We will never go to this place again and would never recommend it. Go some place else!
