We are a family owned Urgent Care Center located in King of Prussia, PA. We offer acute and primary care services including X-​rays, labs, vaccines and occupational medicine (physicals, drug testing, workers comp). Our mission is to get you feeling better and on your way in a convenient, efficient way with quality care by our physicians and staff!

History

Established in 2013.

This business was begun by our owner and president, Dr. Michael A. McCormick, who was born and raised in Audubon, PA. Dr. McCormick and his wife Nicole, along with their five children moved back to SE Pennsylvania after living in Alabama for the last seven years, where they built a large, successful practice after finishing training at Lankenau Hospital in 2005. Upon returning to the area Dr. McCormick realized the huge need for an Urgent Care center in the King of Prussia area and set out to open Express Med of King of Prussia. The model of quality care in a convenient manner with extended hours was his goal. The business opened on Labor Day, 2013.

Dr. Michael A. McCormick brings the model of efficient, quality, affordable health care to King of Prussia, PA. The only UCAOA certified Urgent Care center in Montgomery County offers treatment for colds and flu, strep throat and upper respiratory infections, as well as broken bones and laceration repair. We have on-​site X-​ray and labs as well as many prescriptions. Express Med of King of Prussia also takes care of all Occupational Health needs including DOT exams, pre-​employment physicals, drug screening, and Workman’s Comp care. And don’t forget your Flu shot or School or Sports physical!

Would totally recommend this place to anyone needing medical care — staff was extremely professional and courteous. The doctor who attended to me was great and took his time to address all of my concerns and questions before the procedure. Will definitely come here again if needed.

Barely any wait time. Friendly receptionist and easy check out process. Chic waiting room. Doctor was very nice and down to earth; easy to communicate with. They called my medications in for me. They did a follow up phone call a few days later and were very polite. Definitely recommend popping in here when going to your PCP is not an option.

I recently visited ExpressMed and was very pleased with my experience. I’ve visited other urgent care facilities with mixed results. Dr. McCormick and his staff were very personable, considerate of my time and focused on understanding my symptoms in order to provide the best course of care. I would not hesitate to visit ExpressMed again should the need arise and would recommend them to family and friends.

Came in for an appt at 4:30 pm and was out the door by 5:10 with my medicine to treat an infection. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr. McCormick was wonderful! Very thorough and genuinely cared about my health. I wish he was my primary care doctor! Thank you, Dr. McCormick. I will definitely be back in another situation like this.

I stopped in for a tour since I had been hearing so much about this place. Everyone from the receptionist to the doctor were kind and caring. Dr. McCormick and his wife, who I learned is a nurse, really go out of their way to make their patients feel welcome, unrushed and well-​cared for. As a physician, I understand the importance of combining high quality healthcare with a high focus on customer service — this is not easy to do. ExpressMed seems to have done just that. I have referred patients to them in the past with confidence and, when appropriate, will continue to do so.

I have been treated here and have also brought my son for treatment. Very little wait and the staff is very nice. I really, really like Dr. McCormick. He’s super friendly and very knowledgeable. He also handled my autistic son’s special needs very well. I wasn’t quite as thrilled with the PA Chris, but maybe he was just having an off day. I do highly recommend using their services if you cannot get in to see your regular doctor.

Service provided by doctor was good.
However, they billed me $ 30 for a single pill provided at the office. The prescription filled for 30 pills cost $ 10. And they refused to bill the insurance company.
Watch out if you go here. Take someone else with you and have them ask the cost of everything.
Would have been a much higher rating if not for the extreme billing practice.

Top notch! No wait, absolutely excellent care.
Fell in a retail store and had a huge laceration on my nose/​forehead that needed stitches. Dr, McCormick was amazing — very gentle and extremely skilled. I was so grateful for his kindness and care.
We do not live locally, but Express Med is head and shoulders above any other urgent care place I’ve ever been. When you’re hurting, it really is important to have such caring professionals around.

Everything about my experience here was great! The ladies at the front were friendly and made sure to ask if my co pay was okay before sending me back. The PA that assisted me was Chris; he was super nice and informative. Everything was clean, quick and easy!

I absolutely love Express Med! It is fast and efficient. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. It is extremely clean and well decorated. Dr. McCormick takes the time to listen to my full list of symptoms. There was no wait, I paid my co-​pay, received an antibiotic and steroid shot for a severe sinus/​ear infection!
I will bring my children here. I will no longer wait an hour or days to see our regular doctor/​pediatrician.

New to the area and don’t have a primary care physician so I stopped at ExpressMed to deal with a sinus infection. Very clean and new office. Waited maybe a half hour at most– less than I expected during cold/​flu season. Staff was very friendly and checked with me on my co-​pay before sending me through. The doctor was thorough and kind, and called in my prescription for me on my way out. I’d definitely go back in case of emergency, and would use them on a regular basis if my insurance co-​pay wasn’t so high.
They also gave me a list of local doctors and talked me through a recommendation so that I can get a regular doctor. Very nice of them, and much appreciated!

What a great place! We have sent patients here for about a month for x-​rays and Dr. McCormick and team handle everything so nicely and quickly.
This is a definite asset to the community. From illness to possible orthopedic injuries — they’ve got you covered.
