I echo so many of the negative reviews. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. I had booked this place sight unseen because the owner over the phone talked the place up so much and was so convincing that she ran such a wonderful «pet resort». When I arrived to drop off my dog, there was no one at the front desk. I patiently waited and finally a young girl came to the front. She was the ONLY employee in the entire place other then dog groomers. She did not ask for my shot records, she did not ask anything about my dog or offer a tour of the facility. She wrote his feeding needs on a scrap of paper and put it in her pocket and then said «ok we’ll take him». I stopped her and said, I would like to see the facility first and see where he will be staying and playing and sleeping. She responded… «ooooo well it’s pretty dirty right now so don’t judge us». What ??? don’t judge you? I’m about to leave my dog here for a week of course I will judge how you run the facility. She led me to the back of the facility dodging copious amounts of urine and dog feces on the floor to show me a small fenced in area where about 30 dogs were corralled and barking and Unilocaling and looked MISERABLE! Instantly my dog started shaking and pulled away from the leash leading towards the dogs. He loves dogs! And loves going to the dog park. I could tell from his fear that he knew that those dogs were all miserable. Then she showed me the room where the crates are for sleeping. Several dogs were in tiny crates crying. She said they were waiting for grooming. I asked her «who plays with dogs and makes sure they don’t get hurt or into fights». She replied «I do». Then I said «But you’re up front checking people in? And what about the other small dog run that has a few dog in it? Who is watching them»? She replied «I am». I was shocked! 1 employee to run the whole place with over 30 dogs. I left my dog, because it was christmas time and I had a flight to catch in a few hours and no other options. As I drove away, a pit in my stomach started. I could not leave my sweet dog there. I called another dog boarding place who kindly made arrangements for me last minute. I went back to KOP pet resort and came in and asked for my dog. This time the owner was there. She acted so shocked that I would want my dog back. Asking «is there something wrong»? YES there is something wrong, «your place is filthy. There are no employees watching the safety of these dogs. NO one playing with them. And they are all put on top of each other in the smallest dog run ever! Will never return! And the place needs to be shut down. This is not a pet resort this is a kennel with very unhappy dogs.

DOG CAME BACK PARALYZED from the neck down after leaving here. If you love you pet, DO NOT GO HERE!!! We just moved to the area and I did not do enough research before taking my dog to this place. I dropped him off on a Sunday morning and picked him up on a Monday afternoon. When I got there Monday, they said he was acting weird and was dragging his leg. She acted like it was no big deal. When she carried him out she said «I’m going to PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE» to my dog! I knew immediately something was wrong. He was shaking and whining and couldn’t wait to get into my arms. I carried him to the car and he whined the whole way home. When I got him in the house and put him down on the floor, his front legs buckled and he fell flat on his face. He couldn’t walk or stand up at all. I immediately took him to the vet and they said he needed to see an emergency vet for an MRI. They said he had 2 herniated disks in his neck that were pressing on his spinal cord causing him complete paralysis. They said someone had probably STEPPED ON HIS NECK! My only options at this point were to watch him suffer and put him down, or go through a very risky spinal surgery to remove the disks that would cost 8K! I was lucky enough to have support from friends and family to pay for his surgery and he has now recovered fully, but if had I not been so fortunate, we probably would have put him down. When I called the facility to get more detail from the owner, no one ever returned my call. They completely ignored me and took no responsibility. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!

My brother brought his dog there for a few days over the holiday weekend. She cried when she got there because she didn’t not want to be there. When my mom picked her up, she had a huge gash at the end of her tail which isn’t healed a few days later, and the fur on her right front paw is completely worn down. When we got her back, her behavior was depressed. She wouldn’t pick her head up. She lost a lot of weight and had been eating heavy meals since she had got home. When I she saw me she gave me the biggest, most affectionate hug I’ve ever had by a dog. She didn’t perk up for two days. It was really sad to see such a happy pleasant obedient dog in that condition. After reading all the other reviews, I can see why their comments are absolutely true and I’ve not even seen the place. I strongly recommend looking at all these reviews before making a decision on where to take your pet.

RUN FROM THIS KENNEL FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR DOG’S LIFE! If I could put no stars I would but there has to be a star to write a review. I was visiting the mainline area from Florida with our dog for a family vacation and boarded the dog for 5 nights (July 2 to July 5, 2015) after hearing from friends of our relatives that this place was great. I left a spunky westie and picked up a disoriented, labored breathing, unable to stand dog on the 5^th. When I arrived to pick up my dog they asked who I was picking up and when I said my dog’s name they immediately starting saying how he wouldn’t eat anything that they even had offered him a chicken breast and he turned his nose up to it. Mind you I had actually left instructions to call me if he wasn’t eating for more than one day and let them know I was in the area. When I asked why they didn’t call me i was told I should have called them! Assuming my dog might be a pound or two thinner but ok and after paying the bill I followed them to the «puppy Room» where I saw my westie in a separate gated off area. when I called his name he didn’t move or even look at me. When I asked what is wrong with him they said oh looks like he is a little lethargic today. I walked up to the gated area and removed my dog and he was breathing very labored — actually making noise with each breath, and unable to stand. when I turned to the owner and asked her whats wrong with him she said oh let me get his leash… and left the room. I picked up my dog and carried him out to the front room and again asked what’s wrong with my dog — how long has he been like this and the response I got was again” I guess he’s lethargic” I looked at them and said are you kidding and left. I googled the nearest animal hospital opened on a Sunday from the parking lot and my family rushed him to Valley Forge. When the Physician there saw my dog he asked what had happened and when I relaid the story to him he asked if the dog had gotten into something there. They put him into an incubator type cage and did labs and said that all his systems were shutting down. I had had our dog at our vet the week before we left on vacation and all his labs were fine– I actually had all his lab and vaccination papers with me. They worked on him for 2 hours (- said all his lab work was so high they could get accurate readings on their instant read machines) but his condition continued to decline and they said he was suffering and advised us to put him down. I will never know what happened at this kennel during my dog’s stay but I do know they were totally clueless that he was in a medical emergency and had they had been observing him like they should have he might have been saved or at least saved from suffering as much as he did. To top this whole experience off when I called to let them know the next day what had happened, they immediately said that he must have been in diabetic shock — I said to them that they hadn’t even realized my dog was sick and my dog was not diabetic… these people should not be in the kennel business. I never write any reviews on anything but I can’t let anyone experience what happened to us — take your dog somewhere else ~ it is not worth the chance!!!

I have a dog that can be quirky to say the least. The staff here welcomed him with open arms and you can tell they love animals. I will be using them again for sure. The only minus I can think of is he was dirty and really needed a bath when I picked him up. I might actually have them give him one before I pick him up next time. Overall, very good experience.

Do not board your dog here.
This has got to be the single worst kennel I’ve ever had my dog boarded at. I left for 6 days. I left dog treats with her — a completely unopened, new, large bag — and was told they fed them all to her. Their explanation was that since the dogs are playing during the day that they fed her extra and they were all gone. Even if you do feed dogs extra, an entire bag of dog TREATS is not right. She had plenty of food (also of which was gone).
They also almost never answer their phone. I called MANY times to check on my dog. None of my calls were answered or returned.
When I got her into the car, my dog was EXTREMELY ill. She was lethargic and was hacking up all over the place. The vet verified that she had kennel cough. She had all of her proper shots and the vet told me this just happens sometimes.
However, I called the place just to let them know she was sick (as to warn their other customers) and to figure out why I was handed such a sick dog without being notified. The owner had the most unprofessional, rude rant I’ve ever heard from a business owner in my life. I tried to be reasonable and say that there’s no way he could not have known about this and it was concerning. Nope. He got nasty with me. It wasn’t even worth the discussion.
Should have known when I saw the place. It’s filthy and smelly — and not in a normal dog smell way.

Picked my dog, Layla, up today from her second overnight stay at KOP Pet Resort. Though they were both short stays (1 – 2 nights), they seemed to take good care of Layla. She’s been excited and happy when I pick her up, and she comes home and passes out. To me, this speaks well to the level of activity she gets when she stays there. (It takes a lot to wear my dog out!) Their website advertises that the dogs are allowed to socialize and play all day, which often isn’t the case at other kennels. At $ 34/​night, I would say they are reasonably priced as well. I can’t speak to any of their other services – I have not made use of them – but I may in the future.

These guys are animal lovers through and through. The facility is clean and well maintained. They care for our dog like he was their own. We have utilized both the Bow Wow Boutique and the Pet Resort. We use them exclusively during vacations and often when our work schedule requires extensive time away from our dog. The owners are fair with their pricing and our dog has NEVER come home with any problem whatsoever. They also got us in for a last minute stay over their very busy Thanksgiving weekend. We are grateful, as is our dog!

We’ve been getting our two dogs groomed here since last year. Wonderful, friendly and caring staff. Stephanie is the best!

This place is the most filthy, disgusting, poorly run business I have ever encountered. My dog stayed there for one night when I was desperate for a place for him to stay due to a last minute business trip. When I went to pick up my dog and noon the following day, I had to walk through the building to find someone. There was only one person working (the owner) and she was so unprofessional. The place smelled so bad, dogs were standing in their own urine and there were filthy blankets just piled up in the kennel. There were mouse traps set on the floor and mouse poop around. I was horrified. Their prices are low but it is NOT worth it. I felt so sorry for my dog who was so stressed out. I told the owner how displeased I was with the condition of the buidling and she said «it’s an old building, I got here late and I am here by myself because we can’t afford any more staff.» Are you kidding me? STAY AWAY. Your dog is in danger at the King of Prussia Pet Resort.

This place borders on animal abuse. I am reporting them everywhere. My two dogs spent 8 nights and came back dirty, thirsty and having lost significant weight. My one dog was twitching and trembling for 24 hours after getting home. Both dogs had acquired fleas. They had sores on the edge of their noses from rubbing against their crates. I had been reassured that they would not be kept locked up the entire visit and that they would be bathed and nails cut. When I confronted them about the poor condition my dogs were in I was told «They didn’t eat their food», «Many dogs get sores from trying to get out of their crates» and «We didn’t have time to bath and groom them» (despite the fact that we picked them up after 1pm on the day we had indicated we would be picking them up).

My foster dog attends daycare and has been boarded here and I’ve had nothing but great experiences. The entire staff is very friendly, and dog knowledgeable. They are accommodating and reasonably priced as well. My foster is quite a handful and they are so patient with her. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants their dog to be with dog lovers while they are at work or out of town.

This place is the worst! My dog went to day care there for over a year, he got sick regularly, they said he gets overheated? I think they use improper cleaning chemicals that the dogs lick! Sounds like from the other post, the place is still dirty. The last straw was my dog and another got into a «tiff», this stuff happens, they are dogs. Well my dog lost and when I picked him up at 6pm that day, he was in the back with a bleeding neck and they NEVER CALLED me as the incident happen 4 hours before I got there!!! Their response was not everyone would leave work if dog is hurt, I said not everyone pays for their dog to go to day care? Well after numerous vet trips, a drain in his neck and 8 stitches later, I brought pictures to show them what this dog, an animal I thought they cared about looked like. They said I signed a waiver that «they» are not responsible for anything! They were so worried was going to ask them for money!!! I would give all the money in the world for this never to have happened to my dog. I don’t want others to have to go through what I did with my dog and this place.

The KOP Pet Resort/​Bow Wow Boutique has a great set up. The people who run the place truly do care about the dogs. They do check for vaccination records and the dogs do get play time at no extra charge. That said, we just had our Lab Retriever stay overnight a few days ago and he’s now got kennel cough. He’s stayed there a handful of times and this is the 2^nd time he’s come home with kennel cough so we’ll be trying to find another place for him to board.
