Make no mistake, the business of running a gun shop is hard and Roger works very hard at it. I never had the sense that he was in it for the money, but rather for the people and the interest. I’ve been in his K of P shop when you could hardly turn around, so he must be doing something right. It’s not a big shop, but still traffic continues to flow through it.

I went for my first visit and I was amazed at how personable and easy going everyone was. This is one of those rare places where the statement «Gun people are the nicest people» truly applies.

King Shooters Supply is located in King of Prussia PA, a suburb of Philadelphia. We are a full service gun store with knowledgeable and friendly staff serving all firearm needs, including defensive, competition, hunting, and recreational shooters. Our fully stocked store provides you with guns, bullets and all the related reloading supplies including machines and their related parts, shooting accessories such as holsters mags and targets, cleaning supplies, gun parts, safety products, optics, lights, timers, Silencers and other NFA items. King Shooters Supply maintains strong and supportive ties to our Law Enforcement community including our local department and county, PICS, BATFE, and the NFA Branch.

Better Bullets

Better Bullets are proudly made on-​site and sold to shooters and other retailers all over the country. Current production encompasses a requirement of tens of thousands of pounds of alloy per month.

Roger is active in all aspects of the business and as an invaluable resource to reloaders and shooters. An avid shooter since 1984, Roger is an NRA Certified Instructor, holds Armorer’s certifications from Glock, Sig, LWRC, and Smith & Wesson. Roger is an NRA Member.

Went in on Saturday to do a private handgun transfer. Cheapest transfer fee I found in the area; $ 25.
The staff was nice, and very knowledgeable. The prices were right in line with everything I have seen elsewhere, and they have a wide variety to choose from. They even have the Glock 43, which I haven’t found anywhere.
I will definitely be back, especially with these prices!

after being there for about a minute, some kid who worked there expected me to allow him to search my backpack (??? yeah, no idea.), then asked if i was carrying. when i said yes, he expected me to allow him to take my holstered firearm so that this stranger who doesn’t trust me could clear it. obviously, i opted to leave (and will never return).
their own website pretends to have no problems with those carrying, so i find this behavior both bewildering and deplorable.

These guys are great. A full service shop with knowledgeable, friendly folks that take the time to explain different options and set you up with the best firearm for you. I was due for a new toy, and given the huge selection of handguns was able to check out the fit and ergonomics of many different brands, including Glock, HK, CZ, and quite a few others. Not suprisingly, I settled on the Sig P229, because, you know, the Germans make good stuff.

The store itself is nicely laid out, nice front, clean, some cool odds and bits, suppressors, etc. But that’s where it ends.
Same story to corroborate others’ experiences: Overpriced (even as far as overpriced gun shops go) and grotesquely unfair.
I went to trade-​in my M&P 15 – 22. It is 99% new, has had 30 rounds through it, cleaned, then oiled and stored. It has a brand new 4×32 and a red-​dot. The optics alone were $ 150.
I have two other built AR’s, and no need for a third plinker — plus I needed the money to care for my newborn daughter while my wife is out of work. I suppose I shouldn’t have said that last part to the older gentleman at the counter reviewing my rifle.
He goes to his computer terminal, looks up some information, then comes back, without looking me in the eye, and says, «$ 150.» I immediately, calmly say, «Nope.» He comes back at $ 170. I don’t say another word, pack up and go home.
that was an offer for approx. $ 0.25 on the dollar (for just the rifle) for a brand new AR in .22, with two brand new optics included. I will never again give them my business. I can understand mark-​up and profit margins, I was a retail store manager for five years.
I got an offer on Armslist and sold it privately for $ 425. That would be a fair price for a private sale.
A fair price for trade, with optics, would have been between $ 320-​$ 360. That’s on the low-​end, given the market.

Went to King’s today to purchase a handgun. They were moderately busy (especially for 12:30pm), but they had several people working and was giving every person ample time to ask questions and look at/​hold guns. I was greeted by two different people when I entered and was told someone will help me shortly. I waited about 5 minutes until someone was free. I was helped very professionally and had all of my questions answered. I am a newbie ccw and was a little hesitant because of the stories I’ve heard with local gun shops, but these guys were very easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. With the hundreds of types of ammo they had, I asked for his recommendation for some range ammo and he recommended an expensive box, but then said just for trying your new gun a much cheaper box would suffice. I appreciated the honesty instead of him simply trying to upsell. I will definitely be back!

These are quality bullets that these folks sell, I have shot several calibers, totaling around 2,000 rounds. Precise specs and measurements, no leading and the bullets look like jewelry when you open the box. Additionally, I like the hardness of these bullets, as I have shot Lasercast in the past with good luck, so I am not a «soft lead bullet» guy. Buy with confidence, this is excellent quality, and these folks ship quickly. Great to deal with as well.

I was in town for business with a few hours before my flight home so I stopped by. Very nice shop, tidy, well lit and organized. They have a good selection of handguns and long guns, focused on the personal protection/​tactical market. I bought a few small items that are hard to find back home. The staff was friendly and helpful. I’d came back next time I’m nearby.

Wow. Reading some of these reviews makes me think it must be a WHOLE new staff now? I went in with the intention of purchasing a Ruger SR22 with my girlfriend. They were dealing with a few customers already but promptly acknowledged our being there and came over to help us ASAP. They cut me a GREAT DEAL on the Ruger (about $ 50 – 100 cheaper than everywhere else we looked), helped my girlfriend check out some larger caliber weapons, and let us get our hands on whatever we wanted to see. Sure, one employee seemed kinda tired & douchie but don’t we all some days? I can say in all honesty that I think I found my gun store. Staff was knowledgeable, friendly enough, chatty, and joked with us (even bitched about iOS 7 with me!). Great experience that I hope to be repeating again soon!

My first impression of them was relatively good. I got some stuff shipped to them since they were the closest FFL. Once in a while, I would buy things from them here and there. The owners are super courteous, the sales staff, not so much.
The typical…“I know more than you will ever know because I’m on THIS side of the counter, and I know whats best for you”.
Couldn’t get a lower shipped to them, because I got a better deal from JoeBobs, and they flat out refused to accept it because they were selling it at a price gougers price. AKA double.
I understand its a sparse market out there right now, and supply is low, demand is high. You don’t want my business right now? So much for customer retention

Staff is nice for the most part, guns are like most places, overpriced. I bought a Springfield XD-​M online for $ 529, the full kit, everything. They have the same gun for $ 779. I understand the need to make a profit, but let’s be serious.
I inquired about buying 9 mm ammo and they told me I could, if I bought a gun, I’d get a box free…

I have shopped at King’s several times. Their new location is bigger and brighter! It is 346 E. Chuch, KoP. Even with the shortages we are all seeing, I walked right in and found what I wanted. The staff was helpful and took their time to answer all my questions about my new rifle. Something you don’t always get as a female in a gun shop…

This is a nice little shop hidden away in King of Prussia. I grew up in the area and never knew this place existed.
The staff is knowledgeable and nice, once you go in a bunch and show you’re not just «window shopping». I had to stop in maybe 4 or 5 times before they started being friendly. They’re good people, but wary, it would seem.
They’re good with doing face to face firearms transfers and they occasionally have a good deal on a firearm, but don’t ask them to do an internet transfer for you. They get pretty upset about it. I guess they’ve lost a lot of business to the Internet.
If you have questions about competition shooting, this is a great place to go to. They have at least 3 people on staff that shoot competitively.
If you want to know about reloading, this is the shop to go to. They seem to specialize in reloading and you bring them your own brass (sorted, 500 piece min), they will reload for you. They price comes down to much less than buying retails. They’re perfect for people who shoot a lot.
They don’t have a gunsmith onsite, but the gunsmith that they use does excellent work.

I typically go to gun shops inside of Philadelphia but I happened to be in the area of King one day for work and stopped in. They really have a vast array of gear packed efficiently in a small space. Their staff was very friendly and personable as well as knowledgeable about all things firearms. I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed by the staff and customer service here.
Aside from that, their cash prices on firearms are the lowest i’ve seen anywhere in our corner of PA.

I was looking for a gunsmith to fix my hunting rifle, which Cabelas was nice enough to strip some scope mounts on. I was pressed for time and took my rifle to King Shooters Supply to have their third party smith work on it. I am very satisfied with the work and the communication of the gunsmith. I asked that he call me prior to doing any work on my rifle, which he did and we were able to discuss options and get the job done right.
I will use this gunsmith again and recommend him to others.
As far as the shop itself: nice place and knowledgable staff. They seem to specialize in handguns, although they have several long guns in stock and could probably custom order just about anything. They don’t have a huge supply of guns or ammo but like I said, the staff is knowledgable, friendly, and willing to accomodate you.
I believe the young lady at the counter is the owner’s daughter. Don’t pass her by as she is useful and knowledgeable.
