Friday night seafood buffet… would recommend Long John Silvers over this just due to temperature of the food alone. Crab Legs over cooked… fried Shrimp over cooked and cold. Just not a good experience. Golden Corral quality.

Front desk great. Rooms excellent. Grounds beautiful. One star ding for the morning restaurant staff who argued about doing their policy then providing good customer service. Was told by the front desk New York breakfast would be complimentary and they would call over and let the staff know. The staff said they never heard such a thing and they need to charge me and figure it out later. Not something that comforts you with your cc on file.

Nice hotel, horrible restaurant. I had a nice stay at the hotel while visiting family, but made the mistake of eating in their ‘upscale’ restaurant for dinner with family and friends. Totally unacceptable service and food.

Typical Marriott location all show and no service. Major conference center function going on and only one restroom open all others closed or locked. Always about Marriott never the customer. So typical!!!
Stay clear no value for your dollars

Racism is alive and well in Tennessee. My wife and sat outside in the courtyard for over an hour. We watched several groups of people come after us and get served while the waiters and waitresses walked right by us. Even after stopping a few and asking for the manager on duty, Brenda, we still were not served. I deeply regret spending all the nights here that I did.

Staying here actually makes me look forward to coming to Kingsport. The food is fantastic. The service is personalized and friendly, and the view can’t be beat unless they had an ocean.
The Ruben and Caesar salad are both the best I’ve ever had anywhere.
If you play golf, bring your clubs and try to squeeze in a round. If not, do take advantage of the workout facility and pool. It’s like you’re at a resort in a much bigger city.

Stayed at Meadowview for 3 nights in July 2013. Was on first floor next to elevators. Room was nice, clean linens, lots of pillows, flat screen TV. The grounds were beautiful, though I didn’t take advantage of the golf course.
Staff was very friendly and accomodating. On seveal occasions, they went beyond the call of duty to make our stay easy and carefree. (when I told them I’d forgotten my hairbrush, they gave me a comb out of the gift shop for free). All of the facilities seemed new or very well-​maintained.
The breakfast buffet was excellent, and other meals I ate in the restaurant were good. Fitness center was well lit, had large windows to look out and some machines had TV’s attached. Indoor pool was small, had nice hot tub nearby.
Overall, this hotel was a clean, well-​maintained property with a great staff and good food. It’s great for a comfortable stay anytime you are in the Tri-​cities area.
Like all expensive hotels, they charge ($ 12.95/day) for full access to the wifi. The public option, however, allows guests to be online for three hours a day for free. We found this to be enough for our needs.

The service and hospitality at the MeadowView restaurant were first rate. My server was like Paula Deen before she lost 40 lbs. and used offensive language. She was sweet, called me «honey», I have some bread, and brought complimentary coffee to my table. As for personality, you could’t beat her.
Unfortunately, I asked her two questions about the menu — one about a cocktail, and another about the food — and she did not know the ingredients or know how to describe the item. She was honest, so kudos for that, but the training of servers should be heightened.
My salmon really was outstanding — grilled, served in a dill or lime sauce with mango salsa. The southern green beans were a nice side. The rolls seemed homemade. The salad disappointed me – this restaurant is too fine to be serving iceberg lettuce. I know some southerners think that’s ok, but it ain’t.
The view is nice, the service is friendly. Just raise product knowledge and food quality, and the experience will match the loveliness of the place and personalities.

This is a very nice hotel! I felt the staff is what made this an extra special stay for us. My husband is a Platinum Elite Marriott status and we sure have had our amount of stays at various Marriott properties. We had our 2 yr old daughter with us during our stay and everyone was extremely helpful. The valets and room service were excellent and felt they helped us any way they could with a toddler (even at a upscale golf course resort). We were greeted each day in the lobby by the managers and talked with them about various things in the area. The room, facilities, pool and workout room were very well kept and very nice. The bed mattress was so comfy! Again, every worker we crossed paths with was just extremely friendly — southern hospitality is well and alive at this Marriott!

Stayed here for one night when I was in town for business. The property and rooms were nice, the gym was great, and I even got picked up from the airport by their shuttle!

Bar/​Restaurant: Good, bar open late for drinks
Value: Great, well priced compared to other properties in the area

I’ve stayed at a ton of top tier hotels world-​wide. While it may seem odd to give this hotel five stars when we all know it’s not a world-​class hotel, this amazingly run and managed hotel deserves major kudos.
The facility is okay, not great, but okay. The service and hospitality, however, makes this place off the charts. I’ve never experienced a more accommodating staff in my entire life at a hotel. If you’re looking to host an event or conference, this is a MUST use. While there’s nothing to do around there, it’s a great place for togetherness.

This is an good property even though I’m not a golfer. Each room is put together very nice and the grounds are kept up very nice. The fitness center was top notch and the staff was also very nice. Unfortunately the location of this property is well away from just about everything. Which sort of stinks because I ate at the restaurant twice and the first time not only did I get the wrong burger but it was cooked to the level of being almost hard. Who ever the burger was for I saved them from having to send it back anyways because I did it for them. They promptly cooked me the correct one and it was done perfectly but none the less, the rest of my party was finished eating by the time I got my food. Removing it from the bill would have been a nice gesture, that may have earned a 4 star ranking. I also thought that the prices were high, which they always are in a conference center, but back those prices up with quality.

Rooms and hotel was great. Stayed here for buddy’s wedding. Nice inside pool, though it was only about 15 feet long. Nice fitness room and hot tub. Towels in both locations. Front desk was nice and sweet girls with answers to my many questions. I even got a sewing kit from them when I had to sew a button.
Have a bar and nice restaurant. Only problem is bar didn’t open until 3pm during week, had to order drinks at restaurant until that time, no drafts but everything else was available. If you eat breakfast, good buffet with omelot, waffle, and pancakes made to order, cost $ 17 with a drink. I think reasonable, especially since omelot by itself was $ 12. Gravy was handmade, best part.
Bartenders Kristen and Summer were awesome. Summer was in middle of counting out her alcohol when we arrived and she allowed us to order a round of drinks. Great way to end the first night in town. Kristen kept our drinks filled on Friday from 10:30 until 1am when she closed. Great personality. They close bar at 1am, but if no body is there, they will close at midnight.
Only problem was two bartenders on Sat night decided to make last call at 11:30pm, but kept serving until near 12:30a but with worse and worse attitude. They took the tills and locked the liquor and scurried away like mice. People still waiting for service (asked by 3 people for drinks and never came back). They left the place a mess and didn’t care about the 30 odd people, no raucous and no attitude until they never came back. Morning crew next day had no idea what happened.
Anyway, my rambling done, this place except the above was great and I recommend. Only recommend having car to go out, not walking distance from places.

This is a traditional Marriott hotel with all the bells and whistles in the mountains of East Tennessee. While I did not stay in one of the rooms, I did attend a meeting here.
The staff was more than helpful in assisting with our meeting. They went the extra mile to provide great care in making our meeting a success. The meeting rooms are very spacious and have great sound. Everything was very clean too. The facilities were well maintained the whole time!
I hope to be able to stay here one day if I am back in town! I was a little annoyed however that Starbucks was closed in the afternoon. They were only open in the morning hours.

This is a very nice hotel. Very clean and comfortable. The food is really good too. The rooms are nice. I’d recommend a room in one of the newer wings… as they are obviously «new», but also have the fastest internet connection in the hotel plus wifi.

I have been to Meadowview many times in the past for different reasons.
This past Saturday we had our yearly Realtor installation event with guests from across Tennessee.
Very well taken care of as far as set up. Good food and good wait staff. Very nicely decorated conference room for all the guests. Gave us a room discount if we needed to stay over.
If your organization needs a place for your events in the Tri-​Cities area, I would recommend they consider Meadowview.

A beautiful place to stay. We were there with our college football team (Campbell University) and they have been extremely hospitable. The food has been great, the meeting rooms are spacious and exquisite, and the rooms are simply amazing. Great place for business meetings or functions.

Once of the nicest Marriott’s I’ve seen. The facility is in very good condition. The staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. The bar was spacious and opened to the lobby so any overflow could be easily accommodated. Didn’t have time to check out the gym or the golf course. I was there for the race, so I basically ate, drank and slept there.
The only downer was the $ 12.95 per day for internet access. If I wasn’t on company travel, this would be a deal breaker as there are a number of other chains that have complimentary internet access.

Normally I do not like to go to hotel restaurants. In fact, after staying at this hotel several times I reluctantly went to it for lunch as I didn’t want to have to drive somewhere. Boy I was so glad I did.
The breakfast buffet was everything you would want. A chef to cook your sausage, eggs, or pancakes upon request. A wide selection to choose from. We loved it.
We went back for lunch. They had a full lunch buffet. If you’re looking for a tasty lunch you don’t have to look any further. The mashed potatoes were creamy and light, the ribs were tender and perfectly seasoned, the corn was sweet. There’s also a dessert bar with cheesecake, peach cobbler, and a wide selection. The food is all freshly made not the usual heated up prefrozen precooked crap you normally find at buffets. Be careful as the full lunch buffet isn’t served everyday. I tried to go back the second day but it was only the sandwich, salad, and soup buffet which is really tasty too. The salad, sandwich, and soup buffet is part of the full lunch buffet too. You just might not get the full spread.
This is my new favorite lunch spot in Kingsport. Definite thumbs up!

definitely as good as it gets, and not just for Tennessee!
as far as marriotts go, it’s pretty standard… you get a nice, clean room with staff that’s friendly and knowledgeable. the fitness center has a good mix of weight and cardio machines and is open 24 hours. i didnt try either, but the pool and spa (indoor) looked great too. $ 118 a night with a corporate rate.
as for the restaurant… awesome! well, at least, the cobb salad i had was awesome! it was huge, and only $ 10.95… probably the highlight of my stay
