Straight talk and honesty – marks of good character that, when accompanied by competence, mean you’ve found a place you’ll be proud to call «home» for your auto servicing. I’ve used Larry & Gene’s for years and have never had to go back for a re-​do, never had a mis-​diagonsed problem. In fact, much of their advice has been about service that I can reasonably avoid having done. Some things are just not worth the cost, given the age or value of your car, and they’ll be the first to tell you that. Safety? That’s another thing entirely; you’ll be read the riot act (albeit courteously) for driving an unsafe vehicle, even one with a current inspection sticker. I think you can trust these guys to keep you safely on the road at a price that will turn you into a «regular».
Confession: Maybe I should’ve given only 4 stars, as I’d really appreciate a posh waiting room with complimentary coffee and croissants… but then that would look so phony I’d probably not trust them ever again! Best stick with the diner just across the street and feel good you’re in the right hands.
