Description

Specialties

We are a contemporary inspired restaurant, over looking a beautiful view of the Clinch River. We pride ourselves in our homemade inspired dishes, fresh seafood, hand-cut steaks, and our ability to fit to anyone’s budget. We feature covered outside dinning, live music on Friday and Saturday nights, and Happy Hour specials Tuesday-Thursday from 3:00 — 6:00pm. We are proud of the fact that we were the first bar in Kingston to receive our liquor license; and in June 2009, we opened up the very first full service bar in our area. Come in and enjoy our beautiful view, great food, and expertly mixed drinks.

History

Established in 2009.

The owner and his family have been a very prominent name in our community. He grew up here his whole life and then decided to move to North Carolina to pursue his dream. In 1990 he opened up his first restaurant. It was nestled in a small town just like Kingston. In 2007 the state of North Carolina began the paper work on a bridge that was to be built right in the location of his restaurant. The previous restaurant was bought out, and that is how Redbones on the River was born. In June 2008, the owner moved back to Kingston to be closer to his family, without the intentions to open up another restaurant. Until, that is, he stumbled across this pearl. Part of the building was building was built in the late 1800’s, and then moved from the river to the location it is in today. It was a home to generations of families. On June 29th 2009, we opened our doors as Redbones on the River.
