I have taken my vehicles here for almost 20 years. I first took my car here for a second opinion after a national chain in Kingwood tried to charge over $ 2000 in suggested repairs after a routine inspection when I only went in for an oil change. That national chain has lost thousands over the years for several cranky cars my family has brought to Kingwood Tire.
Several times I have gone in with a concern and they looked at my car and said I have about x amount of miles before I really need it repaired or told me the issue was an annoyance but not going to be dangerous. They are always busy. A good sign that they don’t need to overcharge or invent repairs. Very honest. Always called me if they found something else and almost always finish in one day.
Also, I do understand a standard fee for checking for an issue. It is for their time and expertise you are paying them. I don’t remember them doing that long ago but they are pretty consistent with that charge now. The peace of mind is worth it. Highly recommenced.

I have been a customer of the shop for over 25 years. While they are not always the least expensive they always have treated me fairly and told me what needed to be done and what did not need to be done with my auto repairs and tires. I purchased a new tire this morning and they gave me a great price and fast service and I was in and out of there in less than an hour with a new tire mounted and balanced. The best thing I can say about this places they been in business with the same owners for decades and they treat you like a repeat customer and they appreciate your business.

Been going here about three years. Have always been honest, efficient & customer focused! First visit was for a second opinion for $ 2,800 of work the Firestone dealer at FM1960 & US 59 insisted was required: CV joint, shocks, tires, ball joints, alignment & balance. Goodyear’s answer was emphatic «you just need new tires! I got the road hazard warranty and that WAS ALL I needed. I’ve had three flats repaired since with no additional charges. Each time I’m there people bring their cars in for all kinds of maintenance, oil changes, mechanical inspections before buying a vehicle, A/​C service, electronic mysteries, etc. Most of them have been coming here for truly, decades! It’s out of the way & a little hard to find at first but is well worth it! If you need any automotive work, call them! If they can’t help you they will direct you to the best option for your need. In almost everything automotive they will give you the very best possible care with their service!

Worst auto repair experience of my life. I noticed my AC was going out months ago and took my car in to Kingwood Tire and Auto get checked out. They put in some dye to find the leak, but couldn’t find it. They said to bring it back — this time I asked them to also fix a broken dome light. They couldn’t find the leak again and they never ordered my part. They told me to bring it back in again and this time they ordered the part to replace the broken domelight but it took weeks to come in. I had to keep calling to find out what was going on. I should have gone somewhere else at this point, but they said I was required to come back in to get the domelight replaced now that they had ordered the part. I made at least 4 visits after the first one, mainly so they could find the AC leak and they never did. I let them know before the final visit that I was frustrated and this was the final time I’d bring in my car. They said they thought the leak was my evaporator now but they wouldn’t fix it. I called a couple of other auto shops at this point and they laughed when they heard they couldn’t find the problem after multiple visits and said they could find the leak. It seems like Kingwood Tire and Auto didn’t want to admit their incompetence and send me somewhere else until they wasted a lot of my time, and as a result I had to drive around a car in a hot Houston summer with no AC and an infant in the back. I can’t believe I have been trying to get this problem fixed for several months and they finally just refused to try. I will never go back, and would highly caution anyone who wants to go there.
The work I had done was overpriced, they don’t seem to know what they are doing if you want something more than an oil change, and the whole experience was completely unprofessional.

I took my 2008 Saturn Vue here for service at the recommendation of a friend. I explained what had been going on with my vehicle. They listened. They inspected and researched the cause of my check engine light and made the repairs. They are honest reputable people who don’t try to sell you unnecessary services or auto parts. After the repairs to my engine they advised me about my «options» and I left there feeling like my car had been handled by honest ethical professionals. I will definately bring my cars back here for service again.

I have been servicing my vehicle with Kingwood Tire & Auto for over 3 years. Everything gets covered by them. On my 2^nd to last visit i asked them to look at the under chassis of my truck which they did & charged me 75 $ for. Nothing was done just an inspection to see if i needed to have anything done. This past weekend i dropped another vehicle off there asked to check the front end to make sure everything was tight along with replacing a squeaking pully. I was quoted 150 $ for the replacement. When i received my bill it was 298.37 $. They had charged 45 $ to look at the front end & additional labor that i was unaware of in the initial estimate. I think they do good work but i was taken advantage of on the price. There are many other automotive places unless your not worried about getting nickle & dimed.
