ACE Wellness

I decided to go to ACE Wellness because they were a walk away from work and very convenient. I hurt my shoulder due to a workout injury and was treated by Dr. Lin. Treatment did eventually help the pain and the Dr. was fine, I have no complaints about that part.
The reason for my low review is due to the trouble obtaining a letter to send to my insurance. The receptionist is just plain rude and needs lessons in customer service. I can’t believe how how hard it is for them to write a simple letter to the insurance company explaining my injury and treatment. I had to email an example of what I wanted them to write. When I finally got the letter (which I had to keep following up and bug them about) it contained a sentence that was not accurate, that I didn’t notice, so of course was denied by the insurance company. When I asked for a revision and for them to correct their error they said NO?! Are you kidding me?! They made the mistake and didn’t even apologize and to top it off they are declining to fix their error. I am a paying customer and Doctors should be well versed in dealing with insurance companies.
I would never recommend this company to anyone and will tell everyone about my experience here. If you want to deal with a rude receptionist and just pay to get an adjustment, then you won’t have an issue. If you are looking for a more friendly environment or have an injury you will be going through insurance for, DON’T go to ACE Wellness.

My wife and I have been going to Dr. Lin and Dr. Poon since we moved to the Kirkland area. They are both great. They listen to your issues, fine tune their approaches to fit your needs exactly. They sometimes will even do the above and beyond to take care of you, and not always worrying about if the insurance will pay them or not. I had a nerve damage and doing physical therapy, but also got acupuncture treatment from Dr. Poon. She would evaluate my situation and tailor the needle points based on how/​where we feel the needs are. At some point, my right hand had some numbness, and in this one session, after the acupuncture, the numbness went away for most part of the my hands. This obviously doesn’t happen every time, but that one time was a pretty incredible feeling and relief.
I trust their judgment and the professionalism. Most importantly, they focus on treating the patient, not just what the insurance tells them what to do or how to do it.

I started going here shortly after I moved to Seattle as ACE was recommended to me by a co-​worker. I occasionally get really bad headaches from working at a PC all day and Dr Lin takes excellent chiropractic care of me and advises me on ways to help myself like stretches, posture, setting up my workstation, etc… and as long as I follow his advice I stay pretty headache free! I recently started seeing him a bit more often my wrist had been swollen up and hurting for a few days (from more computer work) and he’s been fantastic in helping me get it back to normal and in teaching me how to prevent it. He’s got a very holistic approach, which I really appreciate. Hmm, come to think of it… I will probably get in trouble for writing this on a weekend when I’m supposed to be resting and stretching my wrist and not typing on a pc… I better go stretch now… :)

I was very fortunate to be under the care of Dr. Poon to provide acupuncture support to me during my fertility journey. She was clearly knowledgeable, caring and kind. I felt that she listened to my concerns and even helped me with some unrelated issues during the process. I am happy to report my fertility procedure worked with a donor egg and I thank Dr. Poon for the impact she had.

I first came to Ace Wellness for Carpel Tunnel and Tendonitis on my elbow, both my hands and arms were in pain. Dr. Jules Lin was great in explaining what was going on. Besides providing treat, he taught me how I could help myself improve by doing exercises and how to be mindful of my posture. Today I am pain free on my arms and wrists! I also consulted with Dr. Poon on acupuncture and Chinese meds. She is very knowledgeable and always glad to share with you what she knows. Annie is always so nice and helpful! I am so grateful to have found Ace Wellness!

EXCELLENT CARE! Communication, education and instruction are tops! I came in for back/​hip issues and Dr. Lin explained thoroughly what was wrong, what he was doing, why and how I could help myself to heal.
AND HE NEVER STOPS WATCHING YOU! He checks out how you move and what you do for simple things like picking up your purse. While I was doing well with the stretches and exercises, a couple of the ways I moved in general were not helping me. I’m much more mindful of how I move now…

I got hurt doing exercise at home with some weights, I started having inflammation in my hands, numbness and pain, then pain continue thru my arms, elbows, shoulders and upper back, I started having problems to move and was not sleeping well. I tried pain killers, patches, acupuncture for almost a month, that took care of some of the pain for a short term and then I was back in pain again. I found ACE Wellness here in Unilocal and made and appointment with Dr. Jules. He did an extensive diagnosis, took X ray, check my back and determined my nerves were pinched. I started treatment 3 times a week and I started noticing real improvement from the first session as Dr. Jules was really attacking the root cause of my problem. Right now I continue my treatment, I am doing exercises at home that Dr. Jules has indicated and I am almost back in my normal life. I really appreciate that Dr. Jules is very professional and straight forward and explained my condition, answered all my questions and even called me the next day after my first session to check how I was doing.
I was afraid of going to chiropractic but now I really recommend it and also it is a great option to heal with no pills.

Been coming here for a couple years now on and off ever since I suffered from a whiplash and then somewhat chronic stress related muscle tension… And I keep coming back because I don’t think there is a better clinic around. I think Dr. Jules Lin and Esther Poon combine a good mix of knowledge and medicial experience in Eastern and Western medicine. That’s what makes this clinic so special.
I mostly see Dr. Lin for chiropractic adjustments and treatment of muscle tension. Dr. Esther helps me with more Eastern-​med oriented treatments like acupuncture and cupping therapy (do not confuse with clubbing therapy). :)
Both doctors are very competent with their treatments, and the way they communicate and educate me about where my symptoms come from and what exercise plans help me get better in the long run. Very happy I found them!

I found Ace Wellness online, and then I saw that it was covered through my insurance, so I thought I would give it a try. I’ve never tried acupuncture before, and the thought of little needles put inside of me scared me, but I went in with an open mind, and boy was I glad I did! Dr Poon is awesome! She is very open with you about discussing your symptons/​health, and goes over everything she does in detail before doing them. (Like she asks to look at your tongue beforehand. I never knew why she did that, but apparently it helps diagnose you health patterns by looking at the color and thickness of your tongue) I’ve been going for the last couple months and I feel like its helped calm me down, and I think I’ve gotten over my fear of needles! (as long as I don’t personally see them sticking inside of me)

Dr. Lin is great. He actually cares about people and treats the whole body, not just one spot at a time. I have gone there for years and I am very satisfied. I have been to multiple other Chiropractors that we’re not half as good. Highly recommended.

Two words: Professional and Caring. Is it weird that I look forward to going to my chiropractor? Two years ago, I tweaked my back when moving my bookshelves (the agonies of graduating from college). I live in Totem Lake and would pass ACE Wellness all the time. I looked it up online and saw that it had great reviews. So I decided to try it. My experience has been great! Dr. Lin is a very good chiropractor; he really cares for his patients. I could tell that he looks out for his patients’ best interest. The atmosphere of the office is also great. It’s not a rush in-​rush out service. They really try to get to know you. After a year, my back is a lot better. I still have regular check ups with Dr. Lin. I also started their Wellness Program. I look forward to getting a massage every two weeks. So great! Helps me to relax and get the work-​related stiffness (I work a desk job) out of my back. Can’t say enough good things about ACE Wellness!

Dr. Poon (acupuncture) and Dr. Lin (chiro) are amazing… I have had back issues for years and I feel the best I have ever felt! After going consistently for nearly 3 months my body feels great! I highly recommend acupuncture for general body wellness, as well as any back pain. Long term, acupuncture is far more effective than massage in relaxing muscles. I love ACE WELLNESS… amazing staff!!!

Anyone who hasn’t tried chiropractic or acupuncture should reconsider their inhibition and give it a shot. I can tell you from personal experience that they both achieve effective results! Especially if practiced in tandem. I was in an auto accident several years ago and never saught out care until, while playing soccer recently, I couldn’t turn my neck to the extreme without pain and a «catching» in the bones. I started seeing Dr. Lin and he was very knowledgeable, calm and straightforward about chiropractic, my condition and both of our responsibilities as doctor/​patient. I had full relief on the first visit, but it kept returning because of stubborn muscles that had grown accustomed to bad habits/​positions. So, Dr. Lin recommended that I also see Dr. Poon for acupuncture to help relax the muscle over time. This worked out great to relax the muscles and she also helped out with some other issues I was having with my stomach/​bowels in the process. The entire staff is very nice and professional while at the same time also very personable and willing to chat about anything of concern or interest in their fields. I will recommend and return to Ace for all chiropractic/​acupunture needs.

I have been going to Ace Wellness off and on for maybe two or three years now. Initially it was in response to some neck pain I was having and focused on chiropractic care, but I have also started to take advantage of their massage program as well. All of the staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable about their practice. They ask lots of questions up front try to understand what what is going on that might be causing any pain in the first place. They can perform adjustments to get your issues corrected for the short term, but also have lots of great advice on stretches and other practices you can do on your own time to reduce and eliminate pain over time. The pain in my neck has faded away, my posture has improved (even gaining an inch in the process), and overall things are looking very good! I am glad I went in for my first visit and would recommend anyone to stop in to check them out if they are having pain and looking for friendly and great chiropractic care!

I am a marathon runner and also a triathlete, so I need my massage at least one every month.
I found Marie from Ace Wellness. She is AWESOME. She can tailor my massage very well to include stretching and trigger points. Also, she has a strong hand and knows what to do with them on my tight back and shoulder muscle.
I will definitely suggest you to give a try.
Oh, one more thing, the staff in Ace Wellness is very nice too, and they have different payment plan to offer.

This clinic is a very friendly place. I found Dr Lin online just wanting to change doctors to be closer to work. He is very detailed and helpful getting me treated the right way. I felt both doctors in this clinic was very honest and goes the extra mile to help even dealing with insurance agents.

Dr Lin (chiropractic) helped me recover from injuries accumulated from three car accidents that several years of previous chiropractors, a rolfer and massage therapy couldn’t seem to correct. Thank you, Dr Lin!
Dr Poon (acupuncture) is equally amazing! She listens to YOU and she listens to your body. Whether chronic illness, pain from injury or just to feel better in general, she can help! Go see her!
