Chilly Wave Yogurt

This place is wonderful! The owner and staff are super friendly and the yogurt is delicious. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone!

It’s an ok and nothing more.

Went there a few times but stopped. Was there when it opened and a few more, but kinda lost interest when the fro-​yo was kinda icy or runny. I know it is hard to start up a biz but they need to rethink their plan and store a bit.

Unlike some of the previous reviews, I didn’t think the yogurt was icy at all. It was creamy, smooth and delicious! I also thought it was a decent priced compared to Red Mango or other places where they charge you per topping rather than per ounce.
I live really close and since they have a punch card, I will be back :)

Yeah. I don’t think so.
The first time I walked in here, I was just really surprised at how cheap everything looks. I am so used to all the big places like yogurtland or Menchies, this place looks like they just threw some paint on the walls, and added a few machines. No real ambiance at all.
I am also really surprised that there are only like, what, 10 flavors to choose from? I literally walked in here, looked at all the flavors, and then walked out, there was nothing I wanted. My boyfriend bought a deal for them though, so we came back. They had peanut butter at least, so I got that, and it was actually pretty good. They use Yo Cream.
The staff though really seem to not care about their jobs at all. We got a lot of frozen yogurt, so we both wanted lids for our cups. The guy apparently only had one left and was like «is that ok?». Well, no its not ok! How do you not have lids? And how are you at least not apologetic about that? They just kinda sit there and look unhappy.
There are plenty of other places with better service, more flavors, better yogurt, more toppings, and a better ambiance.

I love that Chilly Wave uses the «self serve» model, which I much prefer to the «we put it in a bowl for you» model. I’m on a tour of all the self-​serve yogurt places in the area, and I give this one 3 stars. I was delighted that they offered my favorite flavor (cake batter), but disappointed in the actual flavor. It felt watery, just a bit «off».
Compared with other fro-​yo places in the area (Cherry de Pon, TCBY, YogurtLand), this one has kind of a «ma and pop» feel to it, with DIY-​looking décor and a smaller variety of flavors and toppings.
The area around the shop is pleasant and walkable, and you can even walk to the beach and enjoy the view as you eat your yogurt.
One strange thing that happened to me here: my fro-​yo came out in a solid, smooth tube, which, according to the cashier indicates some piece of plastic fell off the machine. The plastic was not in my bowl (and I’m not mindless enough to unknowingly eat said piece of plastic anyway), but the whole ordeal meant I couldn’t purchase the bowl I made and had to remake it (my first bowl was confiscated). I was annoyed, but at least it was free!

Very delicious yogurt… and they have sorbets! Very fresh and creamy– my favorites have been the cake batter and the Dutch chocolate. Large selection of treats to put on top of your frozen yogurt– the fruit toppings always taste and look super freshly cut.
The guys who run the place are very nice and helpful. The only thing (which they can’t help) is that parking is TERRIBLE!
If you don’t want to drive to Red Mango or Menchies, this is a great alternative!

Cool that there are different types of froyo — non fat, sugar-​free, original… Compared to other froyo places i’ve tried, i though chilly wave’s froyo was pretty watered-​down in flavor and runny (consistency). maybe it was an «off» day; the majority of reviewers are raving.

Thank you to Stephanie for referring to Chilly Wave as a «mom and pop style yogurt place». Reading that made me want to check them out and now join Unilocal.I’m tired of cookie-​cutter franchises with their corporate furnishings and design. I welcome individual entrepreneurship and creativity that once made this country prosper. And I like to support local stores where the earnings will be kept in the community! This being said, I made it a point to visit Chilly Wave. I was pleasantly surprised that the yogurts and toppings were so good. And just as good was the warm caring reception I got from the employees. Danny was especially welcoming and eager for me to try different yogurts and sorbets. I highly recommend the Thin Mint Low Fat with Chocolate Chips. I wish them much success and hope you will join me in supporting them and showing the big franchises that this town likes «hometown» and we know what we like! Join the wave!

I went into Chilly Wave shortly after they opened. Ever since Shnoo Yogurt in Kirkland went away I have been hoping for a new yogurt place to come to the Eastside (I don’t care for CiFiore). I did not enjoy the yogurt at all. I tried many of the flavors, and I have to agree with many of the other reviews… it is too icy and lacks flavor. They also did not have dark chocolate chips or many fresh fruits. Nearby Cherry de Pon is much better. It is next to Walgreens. It is better than Menchie’s and almost as good as Shnoo.

I’ve been to Chilly Wave twice this week! The kids love it, the flavors are great and the guys who own it are super nice.
I’m mad for the Mango Tango flavor and the kids really love the vanilla or red velvet. The topping selection is nice even though I mostly stick to my faves, coconut, almonds and blueberries.
The set up for kids is awesome, coloring and cartoons, could it get any better?
We got to talk to the 2 guys who own it and they are super friendly and very passionate about their business.

Super duper awesome joint! Very inviting atmosphere. Flavors to die for! Tons of creative toppings to choose from. Very healthy and delicious! The owner is about as friendly as they come. One of the most kid friendly places we’ve ever been. They have crayons and coloring pages AND a TV. with an XBOX! It certainly is a nice addition to Juanita Village. Go down there and support the place! Looking forward to going back!

So happy to have this place! No longer feel the need to drive to menchies in lynnwood .I swear if you like menchies this is the same and some flavors even better. The guys in chilly wave are young yet very laid back with kids. No evil eye when the kids try every flavor every time we go in! With that said best yogurt and great customer service! Anyone trying to decide between chilly wave or the cherry de whatever it’s called, don’t bother. Chilly wave is the best!

I didn’t think this place was all that great. They had some decent toppings (big nerds, yum!) but were also almost out of a couple basics like gummies. I was also sad to see only 2 syrups and no whipped cream. The yogurt itself was less creamy and more icy than I like mine. I tried quite a few different flavors too. I might try again, but given there is another yogurt place less than a block away… probably not. Oh and it wasn’t cheap, spent over $ 8 for my hubby and I. And neither of our yogurts were huge or piled with toppings.

Went in with the kids on a Thursday afternoon while it was POURING rain. The dude there was really friendly and attentive. Let us sample a few flavors. I am a big fan of the sorbets they serve. Nice to have a few options in that category: strawberry lemonade, pomegranate, and mango. Kids loved it — nice selection of toppings, fresh fruit and the usual fun stuff, though the mochi looked a bit soggy so I stayed away from it. Kid friendly with cartoons playing — will definitely return!

Awesome place to take the kids! They were so accommodating with my crazy little toddler. He found a cartoon she liked and got out crayons and coloring sheets for her. We loved the very berry sorbet!
Will definitely be coming back.

*drools rainbows* I came here with my pseudo-​family on the day before their «Grand Opening,» and they have great quality yogurt. Best way to attract attention to your business? FREE YOGURT IN ANY SIZE CUP WITH ANY TOPPINGS. I had a field day dumping a bunch of their tart and sweet raspberry/​pomegranate yogurt into the largest size cup and dumping dried cranberries and crushed alpine chocolate all over it. I’m really looking forward to coming back again.
Good selection of yogurt flavors (Vanilla, chocolate, red velvet, original tart, raspberry-​pomegranate and I’m pretty sure mango or something.) And A BUNCH of toppings to add to it.

Fun place. Their first official day. Self-​serve style with lots of topping choices and sauces. I went with the cookies and cream with raspberries and white chocolate sauce. Yum. You pay per ounce so you can make it just the way you like it. The guys that work there are really nice and helpful. It was empty today but I’m sure that place is going to be packed on the first warm day.

A brand new edition to Juanita Village, opened just yesterday!
I’m a fan of Brix Wine Bar and follow them on facebook. They shared the shout out yesterday that Chilly Wave was new in town, open for business and offering free yogurt to anyone who stopped in to check them out. Seeing as they are just down the street, I piled the kids in the car and we made it part of our errands to stop by.
Good sized shop, sparkling clean and new. The kids were tentatively trying little sample cups when the employees looked at them with big smiles and says, «Little dudes, it’s *any* size you want for free today!» The kids didn’t go too crazy, but they were thrilled at the news.
They tried chocolate, mango, cookies and cream, raspberry pomegranate and a few others that slip my mind. The topping choices were seemingly endless. The favorite weird one was something called «Caviar». It basically looked like those bubble tea tapioca balls, except filled with a sweet liquid that burst in your mouth when you ate them. Everyone got a kick out of that.
Juanita Village already has some great restaurants, and has given me two ROTD’s, so it’s great to see another new shop come in and now froyo is even closer to home.
I have a feeling a stop here will accompany both dinner stops and trips to Juanita Beach.
