$ 12 for a delivery fee, when the restaurant is 10 min away?
$ 1 for a «fuel surcharge»
«How did you hear about us» being a required field to register for the site?
Sauce which should come with an item being listed as a paid item?
Having the nerve to add a bolded gratuity line with all this crap?
Yeah, this place can screw off. Not getting my business.

So… I see some bad reviews and then I realize… Oh yeah! I’m in Seattle… they complain a lot here even though they have it good!
So as a business traveler, I have to use dinner delivery services more often than I would like to. The price is always going to be premium, because this is a premium service. They are essentially paying for the infrastructure and network to bring me menus and choices from restaurants that I am not familiar with as I don’t live in this area, they are going to order the food for me after I choose, then go get it, and bring it to me.
This saves me from endless hours on Unilocal and Foursquare, perusing reviews, trying to determine if the bad ones are from a disgruntled employee, someone with extreme entitlement issues, or an actual valid complaint.
I don’t have to then try to navigate this unfamiliar area, then head back to my hotel. Instead, I can get work done if needed, or kick back in the lounge tossing back a few, gossip on the phone about people in the local office, or even do a facial (I can’t do that at home… they would make fun of me).
But I love this service… the service fees are way less than those encountered in Los Angeles, Frisco, New York, DC, and Chicago. The fact that if you want to pay a little extra you can get options from the restaurants which are further away, in most other cities they always say.“SIR…you only have the options in your zone… find the menus for YOUR zone and call back when you figure it out!”.
Dinner Delivery Plus has always been nice to me… and I like nice!
The delivery time is good, because if I ordered it, drove to get it, then cam back… it would take longer… and I would probably make a wrong turn and we all saw that movie.
I haven’t had a bad experience with DDP, but I would bet working with a network of drivers and multiple restaurants in the system and all that I would have to give them a chance to make it up to me if something went wrong before I blasted them… I would probably wait and give them the review after they had made reparations, because it’s not always the mistake that they made that I care about, its about how they handle it.
2 BE Clear… DDP has not ever made a mistake that I have known about.

It isn’t about price. I’ve never cared. I’ve ordered delivery 2 – 3 times here from my Bellevue based hotel, always justifying cost to convenience when I’m tired and busy. This is why I didn’t flinch at $ 66.00 pizza and salad, including gratuity, today. I also don’t mind 1.5 hours for lunch delivery.
Dinner Delivery Plus was kind enough to explain how driver went to another side of town trying to deliver my order at hotel of same name and suite number. Occupants there looked at my food, commented on the extra olives and anchovies and «sent it back» — which is hilarious. I love that. However, attempting to get same food to me twenty minutes later? I’ve lost my appetite.
Lastly, from initial call until transfer to dispatch to cancel this ridiculousness, the adversarial tone of your daytime operator is unacceptable. I’m calling you out on that.
Thank You in advance for releasing pending charge, which will be loudly disputed otherwise.

I don’t really get why there are so many bad reviews on this place… most of them seem to be based on price or that the food wasn’t in as fresh condition as you’d like, but. you know what the cost is up front– if you think it’s a rip off then don’t get the service. And I also love having my food fresh from the kitchen, but if you’re getting food from a restaurant far from where you live (something you wouldn’t be able to do at all if the service didn’t exist), you have to live with the fact that it might not be the same as getting it dine-​in.
Anyway, idk, I’ve been using this place for a while since there are only 2 places that deliver were I live, and yeah, it’s expensive but to me it’s worth it to be able to have such a broad range of options delivered.
I do think the fact that the buesiness isn’t more technologically advanced (the website, the fact that it requres a phonecall to confirm, etc) is leaving a huge hole for another company to come in and do the same thing more seamlessly, but while that other option doesn’t exist, and this place gets me the food I ordered like it’s supposed to, then I’m happy; and so far I haven’t had any problems there.

Delivery charge + Up-​charge + Fuel Service Charge = Ripoff!!!
Not the most professional of businesses.
We ordered lunch, they were late, food was cold, and they whined about a refund.
Suck it up, your a business, you are not a volunteer service.
If you are closed, how about «We are closed» notice on your website, so I don’t place and order and wat an hour like an idiot for you to call me back. Or how about NOT TAKING ORDERS IN THE FIRST PLACE when you are closed during your posted business hours!!!

Today I’ve used this service for the fifth time and after the fifth disappointment, I feel like I have to share my experiences.
Pros:
–Laziness abounds and I don’t have to prepare a decent dinner
–Ordering online is convenient and easy
–Variety of foods/​restaurants available
Cons:
–As everyone has said… WAY WAY overpriced for the service offered. For $ 12 (if not more) you expect that a) the food will be delivered on time b) the food will be delivered by a professional, who can find any address using technology or whatever tools available to them excluding myself and c) that the food will arrive relatively warm. In my experience, you get none of this for the delivery/​surcharge fee
Agreed, tipping doesn’t bother me. Heck, the surcharge/​delivery fees don’t even really bother me. What bothers me is that 4 out of 5 times the food has been late. 5 out of 5 times the food has been lukewarm, if not outright cool. 4 out of 5 times the drivers have called me directly for directions. 5 out of 5 times I’ve spent over $ 100 and had a mediocre dinner. The best I can say for it is I didn’t have to prepare it, pick it up and there is relatively little clean up. All of that is great, but you expect a bit more of a value for what you pay. Unfortunately, you don’t really get that value.

This service sucks! It took over an hour for the delivery. That didn’t upset me — it was the cold food. If I’m going to be charged a high delivery charge, then couldn’t I get the food hot? Maybe I’m asking too much for that one. Next time, I’ll pick up my own food — it’s faster, cheaper, and, oh yea, the food will be hot!

Pros: Prompt service, Good food, Polite drivers, Excellent selection of restaurants
Cons: WAY too expensive, but again, they are delivering you dinner right to your door from any restaurant in the area…
Tipping doesn’t bother me. I’d be tipping if I actually went out to eat somewhere. The $ 12 delivery fee is a lot of money though.
We use this service every once in awhile… because it’s so expensive, but it can be worth it when you’re tired and had a long day :)

I use this service to order lunch for meetings at work. The delivery charge is $ 6.99 for orders (under $ 100) before 4 pm.
They have a wide variety of places you can order from. Mexican, BBQ, Thai, Japanese, Pizza, and Italian are a few of the cuisine choices. Restaurants range from Claim Jumper to California Pizza Kitchen to Mediterranean Kitchen to La Cocina del Puerco.
They also have a frequent delivery card. I think your 7^th delivery is free.
The food does arrive hot. I haven’t ordered anything that really needs to be kept cold. Special request (e.g. dressing on the side) seem to be handled properly.
Only thing about them is that you can’t pay on-​line. They call you to obtain payment info.
Please note if you want forks and napkins, there is an extra charge.

I used this «service» a while back. I won’t make that mistake again. I placed my order online. Then they called me and increased the delivery charge from what I was given online (no explanation) and an «out of zone» charge, even though their crappy catalog says my address is within one of their zones. This «service» is a scam, and only good for those who have tons of money and don’t mind all the extra charges for no reason… Which, with the state of our economy at the moment, would be: NO ONE.

Too expensive! I’ve only used it a few times when I’m not feeling well and don’t want to go out to get the food and deserve a little pampering. Bottom line is it is expensive! As Rob B. said, pay for your food, plus delivery charge, processing fee, tip, etc plus it can take up to an hour or more for your food to get there depending on how busy they are.
If you have the money to burn, they are alright, but usually it’s better to just go get it yourself despite the rising gas prices.
On the bright side, the few times I have ordered from them the food did arrive hot, and I never had any problems with the order/​payment or anything like that. This service seems to be very popular at MS.

$ 12+ dollar delivery charge. Plus a processing fee. Plus a tip. Plus an hour+ wait.
You lose, sir. I appreciate your concept, but I hate your fees.

The company’s web presence really looks shady. Redirecting from the domain name to the raw ip address? Not listing the delivery charges on the order summary? It’s shady out the wazoo…
That said, I did give it a try on a gift credit card (so if they stole it, it wouldn’t matter), and they did deliver just as they said. It took awhile (a tad over a hour and a half) and was costly ($ 5.75 for the phở, $ 14.95 delivery charge), but when you’re feeling sick and what something at home, it can be quite worth it.

So on a Saturday I sit in my MSFT missile Silo waiting to turn the key at a moment’s notice…
This is important work dammit and requires the nourishments and benefits one can only receive from a fine meal…

I have food for my entire weekend’s stay in the «hole»…so much garlic, god I love you so.
Sure there is a delivery fee… I believe mine was $ 8.99. Maybe a little steep, but when you truly cannot wander, have no one else to call, and are dying for some delicious food, I will pay for that and maybe throw in a used liver at no charge.
DDP you saved my a$$. Anyone that works, lives, or plays on the Eastside must know this company.
