Welcome to Eastside Veterinary Associates. Dr. Judy Hung started Eastside Veterinary Associates in 2006 after having the great opportunity to build a team and clientele in Bellevue 5 year’s prior. We offered personalized house calls for canine and feline patients on the Eastside until we were able to create a state-​of-​the art and comfortable facility that is now realized in our current full-​service facility in Kirkland, Washington. We are pleased to be a part of the Eastside community and strive to serve our patients with the utmost care in their homes or in our hospital.

Business Owner

Dr. Hung grew up in Taiwan until the age of 7 when her family moved to the Northwest. She knew she wanted to become a veterinarian from that moment on as she transitioned from urban city life to being surrounded by pets and farm animals.

She received a double major from the University of Pennsylvania in Biology and Economics, and then continued on for 4 more years at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine for her veterinary medical doctor degree. Since graduation in 1997, Dr. Hung has focused on companion animal medicine. Her favorite aspect of being a veterinarian is the privilege to improve the human-​animal bond with her knowledge and skills.

Her family includes her husband, 2 children, 1 grey tabby named Cato, 1 chinchilla, 6 chickens, and a shiba inu with a big underbite named Homer.

I’ve taken my three dogs here for the last 4 years. I can’t say enough about how friendly, thorough, kind, and compassionate everyone is. I just lost one of my dogs. It was the hardest decision I’ve ever made to let her go. Dr. Olson showed true compassion for my situation. I know that my dogs will always receive the best care possible when I take them in.

Dr Hung is the best vet around. We had gone through several local vets, always leaving after being disappointed at the level of service and expertise they offered. We were so impressed with Dr Hung that we stayed with Eastside Vets and are happy to have found them.
Dr Hung was always wonderful and highly competent, through routine checkups to serious surgeries. When we had to put our beloved dog down a few years later, she went above and beyond to take care of everything. She was kind, sympathetic and supportive. I could not recommend Dr Hung and Eastside Vets more highly.

I am updating because I just noticed the comment on my review. I don’t recall receiving a phone call, message, email, or anything asking about my experience, so that is why I did not follow up.
As I stated previously, everyone was friendly, and the exam was insanely thorough. That still does not negate the fact that we had an unpleasant and stressful visit. Removing condescension from your tone, checking your judgment at the door, truly listening with kindness, and learning to read body language should be the four cornerstones of any service professional.
I am sure your practice works out fabulously for others, but thankfully, we live in a world where we have choices. We chose another place where we (pup parents, pups, and doctor) all harmonize better.

From the veterinarians, to the technicians, to the staff, the care my pets receive at Eastside is truly unmatched. Everyone here is not only extremely skilled and knowledgable, the level of personal attention we’ve received has been nothing short of amazing. When you’re a patient at Eastside, you’re family. I wouldn’t take my furry kids anywhere else.

Our cat underwent several thousand dollars worth of tests. We assumed that all the blood work would have included a screen for Feline Leukemia. Three weeks later, at another facility our cat is fighting for his life, diagnosed as Feline Leukemia positive and with a chest tumor. I am beyond angry with this veterinary clinic. All they care about is money. If I could give zero stars to them, I would.

My Border Collie Nell and I love Dr. Judy Hung and her staff. They communicate very well, follow up straight away and are friendly and approachable. I have pretty high expectations when it comes to the care of my fur baby and Eastside Veterinary Assiciates met or exceeded these expectations.
My skittish pup actually enjoys going to this Vet. We unfortunately experienced our dog getting hit by a car and Dr. Hung and her staff waited for us to get Nell to them and preformed emergency care for her well after their normal hours. They were sincerely compassionate and fixed Nell up so well that she forgot she took on a car the day before. I wholeheartedly recommend them without any reservations!

I was desperate when my original vet wanted to put my dog down. It didn’t feel right, he did not feel like he was at the end. The original vet didn’t even do a real exam before declaring he was ready to be put down.
I found Eastside by just calling to see who would take me that day. These guys took me in after i told them my issue.
They gave my big dog lots of attention. It was the most complete exam he’s ever had. Eastside found that he was far far from death’s door and was able to have him feeling better before he even left the office. It’s now been less than 12 hours and he is playing like normal with our other dog.
He is eating well, drinking well. His eye is almost completely healed. They came up with a clever way to cover the hot spot on his tail to keep him from biting it back open, and to keep him from smacking it on things when wagging (which is why it wasn’t healing).
I can’t believe the difference in give-​a-​damn from the last place to Eastside. I’m moving all my animals’ records over and will not be back to the other.
About the cost. As they we hit the full hour mark in their exam of my dog, I was mentally racking up about a $ 2500 bill. But when I left it was under $ 500, which included full blood workup, a full hour with the vet, plus multiple techs coming in and out to help, antibiotics and supplies to replicate that clever tail wrap.
The amount of detail they put into his record was amazing. Original vet barely had more than the dog’s age and gender recorded.

I recently found myself in the horrible position of having to step in and end my dogs suffering after a hard fought battle with an oral tumor. I wanted to be able to give our Maddie the comfort of being able to cross over at home and wasn’t sure who to call. This place was recommended to me by a friend who had also required the same service a few years ago for her Great Dane.
From the very first phone call I was treated with an immense amount of compassion. Dr. Olson and her associate were amazingly sympathetic to our pain and made an absolutely heartwrenching experience bearable. I can’t begin to thank them enough for the care and respect they showed us all throughout the process.
Sooner or later we will add another dog to our family; when we do there is no doubt Eastside Veterinary Assoc. will be our preferred caregivers.

I’m a first time pet owner and had no idea where to start with finding a good vet so I did a little research and could not NOT come here from all of the rave reviews I’ve read.
And I now know why. I’ve only had my pup for a little over three weeks and have stopped by four times already, twice for appointments and twice to drop by and pick up some sort of medication or drop something off.
The staff here is wonderful. The office is clean and accommodating and every single person I have talked to or worked with has been compassionate, knowledgeable, and they always follow up with me. It’s so comforting to know that the pup (and I) have their support and their concern. Not once has anyone been rude, impatient, or acted like I was asking yet another silly question. I cannot express how great it is to work with them and how many times they have eased my concern or addressed our issues with patience and understanding.
Little things like «welcome home, puppy!» cards and follow up emails after a vaccination are just the icing on the cake.
I would recommend this place to anyone. Thanks Eastside Vet for all your support! We love you!

I am not going to get into detail here but I will just start off by saying. these people will take you for every penny you have. We brought our dog here to diagnose something, the first visit they charged us $ 750 to basically put her on antibiotics, then a few weeks later tell us that they want to do a biopsy, and that will run us about another $ 650.We told them we would like to skip the biopsy and go straight to treatment and have not heard back from them since. I feel like they truly do not care about the well being of my dog and just want more and more money. We will be taking her elsewhere.

Unfortunately we did not meet Dr. Hung on the best of times for our dog, Quincy. I found Dr. Hung, since she was a traveling vet, to help our dog Quincy into a better place. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated Dr. Hung and her associate and how much comfort my family and I felt when she came to the house and helped our beloved pet. Dr. Hung kept thanking us for providing a great life to Quincy, but I kept thinking how lucky I was to have Quincy in my life. Both the Doctor and associate showed great compassion and care for not only our pet, but our other pets and family members.
If you need this service, I would definitely recommend Dr. Hung and group.

I am so, so lucky that I found this place. Someone recommended it to me on a Livejournal community and I am SO glad I took their advice.
I recently moved to Washington from Arizona. My pup is a year and a half old border collie mix. In Arizona I received what I felt like was adequate enough care, but nothing spectacular. When we moved here my Yoshi started having allergy problems, specifically problems with her eyes and a persistent ear infection. I’m very overprotective of my dog, so it feels like I’m at the vet more than I’m at my own doctor. I’ve never had a problem getting an appointment here, if not the next day, then certainly the one after.
The staff is absolutely wonderful. Everyone I’ve met is very kind and knowledgeable. My vet is Dr Glocker and she is heaven sent. She continuously impresses me with her compassion and attention to detail. She fields all the questions I ask (and I ask a lot) with deep thinking. She never brushes anything I say off, which I felt like my old vet did often. She’s a treasure.
Just a few more touches I enjoy: they email me my receipt, which my old vet did not, so it cuts back on my paper responsibility. They also provide complementary treats which my picky dog actually eats — a star in itself in my book.
The parking is a little tricky — the lot is very small and a little difficult for me to maneuver my big car around in, but I’ve managed. I also noticed on my way out last time that there was street parking on the other side, which I will more than likely be utilizing on my next visit.
I cannot recommend this place more. I hope I can keep coming here for a long, long time.

Hands down, THE BEST place you can take your pet! I’ve been bringing my Shiba Inu, Bravo, here for about 3 years now.
My second year with Bravo and Eastside Veterinary Associates (EVA), Bravo tore a paw pad REALLY BAD!
Thankfully EVA was AMAZING with the whole thing. Took over a month to heal, EVA was there the whole way. Not too $$$ as far as I’m concerned. We had to go to the ER vet a few times (over the course of that month) and it was double.
Recently Bravo got super sick all of the sudden. Sick out both ends & from his rib cage down to his tail was convulsing to the beat of his pulse. I called EVA, I was told they couldn’t get him in till 2:30pm, but I could drop him off since my husband and I were both on our way to work.
We got there & they somehow managed to squeeze us in for the vet to see us with him shortly after we got there.
Let me just say Dr. Judy Hung is AMAZING!
They kept Bravo for the day. They let us know mid day that we could take Bravo home that night. We picked up Bravo & some meds & went on our way.
I have nothing but GREAT things to say about EVA.
My dog is my child & they treat him like he is :)

Wow. Wow. Wow. I hit the doggie jackpot when I found this place. The staff is absolutely fantastic and I have ridiculously high standards when it comes to my pup.
The first time I brought Charlie in, I was apprehensive. I was new to the area and already had a rough experience with another vet in the neighboring area. Charlie was greeted with lots of attention and affection, as if they’d known him forever. I was immediately put at ease. The rest is history.
They never cease to amaze me… everyone. Do yourself, and your beloved pet, a favor and check them out. You’ll never want to go anywhere else.

I am forever grateful for the loving care Doctors Hung and Glocker and the whole staff at Eastside Vet give to my dogs. They have always been friendly, knowledgable, and accomodating to both of my dogs, one of whom just recently passed away. On most recent occasion, our dog Milo who suffered from hemophelia, was in an accident and needed to have urgent help on a Wednesday at 5:30 pm. Despite it being the end of the day, when I called frantic, not knowing what to do — Tiffany immediately said «come in, just come.» Dr. Hung took Milo in right away and did everything in her power to help little Milo — staying very late and rushing him in her own vehicle to Eastside Specialists (pet ER) when it was clear he needed to go to ER.

There’s always one business that is either so good or so terrible that a person finally feels inspired to sign up on Unilocal.For me, Eastside Veterinary Associates is that business, and they are very good indeed. :) I have followed the founding vets of this group through many years, four different cats, and three different practices; when they finally opened a practice of their own, I knew I’d never take my animals anywhere else. Not only are these doctors incredibly skilled and very compassionate with their patients (and their patients’ «companion humans», heh), but the vet techs and other staff are as cheerful, caring, and helpful as you could possibly wish, even in times of crisis. Even the tables in the exam rooms are nice: no cold, scary metal lab tables for kitty claws to scrabble around on. Mostly, though, I am devoted to Dr. Hung and her staff for a level of care and caring that goes above-​and-​beyond, and I recommend them to absolutely anyone with pets.

We had a very good experience with Dr. Glockner and her staff. We have an older dog, who requires a great deal of care and attention. Our Bichon has high blood pressure and diabetes, and we often call the Vet, who is always ready to help us, and is less concerned about charging us for advice and is more concerned about the welfare of our dog. I have been to make vets across the US and I find her services to be very good and not especially expensive. Dr Glockner is very friendly and easy to talk to and I would recommend her to any Pet-​Lovers.

Great place to bring my dog. The whole staff is very caring about you and your pets. They know they are a part of your life and you care about them. They listen to you when you have concerns, offer different ways to take care of a health issue and don’t push costly procedures. The cost is very reasonable and the vets there work with you to make sure you don’t spend money you don’t need to but while also making sure your pets are healthy and happy. I won’t go to another vet ever again.

I have had dogs my whole life and I have been to veterinarians all over the country. I have to say, Dr. Hung is one of the best veterinarians out there! The hospital is absolutely beautiful, the staff including the receptionist Charlene, the technicians, and veterinarians Drs. Hung and Glocker are all fantastic. I am always greeted with a smile and absolute professionalism. During difficult times with my dogs, Dr. Hung and her staff have provided comfort, support and expert medical treatment. I am very picky when it comes to the treatment of my animals and I wouldn’t entrust my dogs’ health to anyone else…

When we adopted our kitten from the shelter, she wasn’t feeling very well. After a full day of her not getting any better and not being active at all, we were pretty worried. Since we didn’t have a vet for our kitten yet, I called Eastside Veterinary Associates when I saw that they were just down the street from me. I’m so happy I went to them; they saw me immediately, were extremely nice yet professional, and didn’t try to push a bunch of «upgrades» on me. Dr. Kennedy gave me some things to watch for, a bunch of options, and a recommended course that seemed quite reasonable to me. Perhaps most impressive, she followed up with us for the next few days over email, checking in on our kitten’s progress and letting us know the results of tests as they came in.
It’s a strange feeling: I’d never had «my vet» before, but I think I found her.
