First American Title

We’ve bought and sold a few houses over time and one thing I’ve learned is that you need an excellent title/​escrow company in your corner.
Our realtor suggested First American in Kirkland, and she did not steer us wrong. They are absolutely the best company I have dealt with to date, mainly because of Jenn who is an escrow specialist with the Michelle Johnson group.
Jenn communicated every step of the process, kept us apprised of any issues or updates, and prepared all the documents with complete professionalism. She arranged for remote doc signing at our home and even sent the HUD-​1 form to us in advance so we could review it. When we found errors (from our bank and HOA) on the form, she responded quickly by contacting them and getting everything corrected. Whenever we called or emailed Jenn with a question, she got back to us the same day. In addition to all that, she is just a pleasant and fun person to work with.
If you are in the process of house hunting, insist that your realtor use First American in Kirkland and ask for Jenn. You will thank me for it… you will!

The staff there was very rude and condescending. When I was filling out the form for automatic payments from my checking account, she actually said «You have to have money in it before the payment is due».
Talk about condescending. They also rushed us and didn’t give us a chance to read what the heck we were signing. The title company was the default choice for our lender
next time we will ask for someone else.
