Bad Service and Mediocre food. $ 80 worth of takeout: the chicken is so tough its almost inedible, the beef is nice and tender. Asked for extra sauce, in fact, offered to pay for additional sauce, they refused add any sauce saying«there is enough on the food». Had to beg for sriracha, finally got some after almost causing a scene while begging. There are better and nicer places to go, don’t waste your time.

This is our go to teriyaki place! They are always friendly, the food is great, and the portions are generous. They kids ask for this about more often than we go.

Delicious! I judge all others by Kami Teriyaki. Superb taste, generous portions, great service! We go out of our way to get«our favorite teriyaki». Great new look to their menu.

I went here when I first moved to the area. Most Teriyaki places are good and some are exceptional. Not sure if other people leaving these reviews have ever really had good Teriyaki, or if they have just settled for this dump. There was hair in my food to start. Then halfway through my meal, my wife told me to stop eating, she looked at the meat and it was raw in the middle. Besides all of that, honestly even if there were not any health problems, the Teriyaki was not flavorful at all. If all you care about is being full, maybe this is your place. I am really not sure how this got 3 stars. If you compare it to Teriyaki and More in Bellevue or Yummy Teriyaki in Redmond, you will wonder the same thing.

I’ve eaten here many times and it’s generally pretty good food and good sized portions when you eat in. Take out, the portions size shrink sometimes, drastically. I am giving 2 stars only due to my visit today(and on other occasions when I ordered«to go») when I ordered the Spicy Chicken to Go and upon opening up the box at home, finding only 10 pieces of chicken. Typically, there is significantly more. Just as a heads up, I called to let them know. The women/owner was adamant that all food orders are measured. However, as I was waiting for my meal to go, I saw the cook with one pan, filling up two Spicy Chicken orders to go and it was not measured but simply divided up into each container. Obviously, this order was not«measured» and I came out with a small portion. I’m only writing this cuz I“m a bit dissappointed(and still hungary) as the lady was so rude.

This was our go-to Teriyaki place, but I just had a nasty experience, and won’t be going back. Sometimes it smells like mothballs in the bathroom or near the kitchen, but I chalked it up to old smells from a semi-clean restaurant(the teriyaki was still pretty good). This last time though, I bit into my tofu teriyaki, and it tasted like mothballs. Disgusting. I don’t know where they stored their tofu that day, but it definitely picked up some foul taste. No. Tofu should be fresh and firm, not rancid and mothball-y. Awful.

Always been a big fan of Kami teriyaki and this location definitely upholds standards. They get the food ready quickly and keep the location clean. They sometimes don’t give enough sauce with the meals to go but I always order extra anyways. Great place!

Definitely have had better Teriyaki and won’t be going back here. The amount of Chicken was laughable and all flavors were subpar to say the least. Also didn’t receive a salad with my lunch special but my friend did so not sure why. Teriyaki plus across the street is 1000 times better and I would recommend them over this place any day.

I ate at this location for the first time. I ordered the katsu chicken. I will not be going back. The meat was very sketchy and all dark meat. The location at Juanita dr(where I normally go) always serves katsu chicken with white meat that actually looks edible. The meat used at the totem lake location is very questionable. I’ve asked several friends of mine about this and they have all said the same thing about the meat at the totem lake location. I will not be going back there EVER again.

This place is the definition of mediocre. They pour heavy sauce that tasts mediocre on top of their teriyaki to mask its very mediocre quality meant. The meat wasn’t bad but wasn’t great either. It was a tad on the dry side though.

I was told by a co-worker that this place is very good, well I placed my order to pick, I ordered the chicken Teriyaki with my sauce on the side. When I got there I paid for my meal, got to work open the bag and there was no sauce on the side, the chicken was dry taste like cardboard. I could not go back because I only have a 30 min. lunch. I called them to let them know what happen, and all I got was«I’m sorry», they could have gave me a meal on them for the mess up, or a free salad, or soda something. They lost a customer that would have given them a lot of business. it taste like this meal was made for someone else and was sitting there all day.

Teriyaki is one of those things that can go really well, or not at all. Of course, it’s subjective. I really didn’t enjoy my Spicy, Yakisoba Chicken at all. There was certainly enough food to split between two people. The person I was splitting with though it was passable, although we both agreed it was oversalted. Don’t get confused between this place, and the other nearby Kami Teriyaki up on Juanita Drive and Inglemoor QFC. Totally different food.

My experience was similar to Sanjay F.‘s review, which I will quote him exactly, «I probably won’t go back, mostly because the service was very poor, and the spicy chicken was sweet NOT spicy and was coated in a slightly strange near neon reddish color with a brown sauce covering it. I took a bite, it was sweet, took another, very slight spiciness but again there was the sweet. I grabbed for the nearest Sriracha which saved the day.» I got here at a traditional dinner hour. Spicy chicken is my favorite dish and since this was my first time at Kami Teriyaki that’s what I ordered. There was only one person waiting for her food when I ordered, and nobody else was there. The place was immaculate and looked really new. The staff woman was friendly but the food took about 10-minutes to make it out to the table. The square plate was ginormous, had two neat mounds of rice, some general iceberg lettuce salad, and the weirdest color pink chicken I’ve ever seen in my whole life. It all tasted good but this was NOT spicy chicken teriyaki. I don’t understand why this spicy chicken teriyaki cost more money when it wasn’t spicy at all. It was sweet, just like Sanjay said in his review. I do not understand the other reviews who think this is the best spicy chicken they’ve ever had. We clearly have different definitions of spicy. The chicken, for the 10-minute wait, should have come out piping hot but it came out lukewarm, which makes me think it’s not fresh and cooked-to-order, which is a huge problem for me. There wasn’t any MSG in this food, which is always nice. Other reviewers said there was free soup but I didn’t see anything of that nature. The tea was good. Now that I have satisfied my curious mind about Kami Teriyaki I will continue to simply drive by and know there’s much better teriyaki elsewhere.

This is my favorite place to eat! They are so friendly and fast no matter what time of day I come in. She always greats me and knows my name only after a couple of visits. My husband has been coming in for many years and once he turned me onto this place I have been hooked! My favorite dish is the(#2) Spicy Chicken. You get a lot of food with a lot of flavor. I normally get it to go and It is enough for 2 meals for me. When my husband and I eat there we spend less the $ 20.00 for the both of us and we are stuffed when we walk away! This place is a huge hit with all of our 5 kids too! We Love it!

I stopped in for lunch and got one of the lunch specials. It’s a teriyaki joint in a strip mall, so with my expectations calibrated it came off fine. It’s spacious, clean and not too worn down. There are a decent number of menu items, including three lunch specials instead of the more-or-less standard one. I noticed numerous items with Japanese Style Fried Rice after I had already placed my order but that made me wonder. There is free self-serve egg-drop soup while you wait for your meal to arrive. The salad is mostly iceberg lettuce with a tart mayonnaise-based dressing in a separate container. The gyoza was crisp and brown, but not dried out and leathery, and there was plenty of dipping sauce. The spicy chicken wasn’t overly spicy. Tastewise, I probably would have been better off with the regular chicken and some chili sauce from the squeeze bottle. Portion sizes were plenty for me. I was here in the middle of lunch time, service was quick and the place was half-full.
