Kirkland Police Department

I want to start off by saying I grew up around KPD because of course, my mom has worked there for nearly a decade. I cannot say one bad thing about this department. They handle situations very appropriately and professionally. They are also very community driven! I have came to know several of the officers personally and they are great people. I think often times it’s easy to remember that they are human and they have good and bad days like everyone else, in every other profession. I know that everybody working there is there because they want to serve and protect!
Just follow the rules they’re there for a reason.
And remember to be pleasant with them, everybody has a job to do.

Pathetic cops. Waste of our tax money. They are rude even when you call them about a situation. They try and act like they are so much better then citizens. Seriously wouldn’t even waste my time with these pigs again. G. Shackatano
L. Doyle are the weakest accuse of law enforcement ever.

Today I was in a minor car accident that unfortunately was the fault of my own. I was in traffic and barely tapped the person in front of me. The lady flipped out and was very rude and (as was her right) called the police. The officer that showed up was polite, thorough, and helpful. I am a transplant from CA and am used to a very different sort of police officer. He gave me a ticket (as I expected) but explained why (I was following too closely) and told me I should have everything I need in the report and to call my insurance company. Before I left, I said «Thanks so much, and thanks for not being a jerk.» He said «That’s not my job.» Officer «J Ness, #609» handled an uncomfortable situation with maturity and professionalism. I am grateful to him for being kind and treating everyone involved like a human being.

Had some car location difficulties today near Totem Lake Mall. The Police Officier was kind, helpful and patient. We are so very fortunate to be able to call upon the Police and have them respond in such a positive manner.
They are the best!

Helpful, courteous and respectful.
Never had any complaints from the Kirkland Police Department.
However, don’t fail to stop for pedestrians! They take that really seriously!
Also, their DUI conviction rate is substantially higher than other departments in the local area. Save the drunk driving for… well…never do that. :)
