Description

Specialties

We want our patients to forget «normal» and embrace optimal. The last 30 years of life don’t have to be just endured. They can be celebrated! Celebration is much easier if you have the strength, energy, and passion for life you enjoyed in your youth. We make that happen every day with personalized medical programs designed for each unique patient, including hormone replacement, supplementation, diet & exercise, and more.

History

Established in 1998.

In the 1990s, after 23 years in general practice, Dr. Mixon discovered the disappointing reality and restrictions of traditional medicine. Doctors, through «managed care,» are only allowed an average of 7 to 15 minutes per patient, not enough time to give adequate attention to the patient’s health. It’s a vicious cycle, leaving patients frustrated and doctors stressed without time to know the patient and research solutions. That simply does not happen at Longevity. After studying longevity medicine for nearly 10 years, Dr. Mixon founded Longevity Medical Clinic in 1998 with the goal of optimal health and enthusiasm for life at any age. Dr. Mixon is also the popular host of several hours of local radio, the bulk of which is live, call-in radio (Leading Edge Medicine) that focuses on intriguing medical questions. Dr. Mixon’s care for the health of our society at large and his passion for this field of medicine are obvious.
