I went to Dr. Messer after a referral from someone. The front desk was friendly and asked me to take a seat and wait. Dr. Messer was in a meeting with another patient. My appointment was at 11am. I sat down and waiting a little while. At 11:20 I was told it shouldn’t be much longer. The front desk gal knocked on the exam door about every 10 minutes to let Dr. Messer know I was waiting for her. 11:35. Still waiting. 11:45 Still waiting. Finally after waiting a total of 50 minutes after my appointment time, I am invited back to meet with her. We talked about my medical history and did some allergy tests. She ordered a strict diet with some supplements she would provide. She was very friendly but I didn’t have confidence in what she was telling me. I was unclear specifically about what all the supplements were for, and how it was safe to take 10,000iu of vitamin D a day. In total I spent close to $ 1000. They don’t work with insurance but they will give you a receipt with codes on it to submit yourself. I submitted mine to my insurance company and they responded asking for a more detailed breakdown of some charges. I have contacted Dr. Messer several times about getting a new printout with the breakdown in charges, but they will not get back to me. I wasn’t going to post a bad review until this happened. Kind of a last straw, I guess. I would not recommend.
