The Cave Craft Beer & Smoke

I was really bummed when the 7 – 11 closed, but the new owners of the building have brought the world The Cave! The Cave is now my favorite place, super nice owners, great selection of beers, both local and abroad. Needless to say, stop by and find something new, or something you haven’t had for a while (for me they always have Moosehead Lager) YAAY!

My friend recommended me this place and I’m glad I stopped by. They have bees from all over the world. You can mix and match from the 12oz bottles and build your own six pack, if you want to explore different beers. Or they have a walking cooler (the cave), to walk inside and grab a six pack. Their 22oz bottles are arranged by style and what a great selection. On the other side of the store, their whole wall is dedicated to ciders. I’m not a huge cider drinker, but this guy’s have everything. The one thing that made my day was that I can have a PINT from tap while I look around and shop. definitely will be back it’s clean, helpful staff, great selection of beer, cider and cigars. AND you can have pint while shopping! !!!

Excellent little shop. Has a ton of great craft beers in the large single bottles, and inside the cooler are six-​packs of other great craft beers from all over the world.
It can be a pain to get across 85^th St during heavy traffic, but I’ll still make the effort to go by there. Every time I go in they have some new selections from around the world.
The craft beers on tap are a nice touch as well! Looking forward to seeing them grow over the years.

Fantastic selection of beer and cigars. I even found my Nat Sherman cigars no one else carries. Great beer selection in all formats, as well as outstanding rotating taps. Welcome addition to the neighborhood, wonderful owners as well. Highly recommend.

Outstanding selection of beer. It can be hard to find specific things but just ask the staff and they always walk you to what your looking for. Very knowledgeable and it’s a great place to try new brews.
The beer on tap is a great touch I have stopped here for a quick glass and grab a bottle of my favorite for later. It’s definitely worth checking out if you haven’t yet
I was referred here by a friend and now I have brought multiple people here as well. Great place and I hope it’s here to stay!

Great little spot to pick up a growler and a cigar or two.

So I live in the area and went to check it out since I usually like specialty shops and noticed it while driving back home from Redmond.
They lady that works there is very nice, and I liked the openess of the store, but that’s about what I liked.
Their beer selection is pretty good, but their wine selection is pretty awful. The wine person there is not very knowledgeable about his selection and he is very smug. He very arrogantly claims to have a unique selection that you can’t find anywhere else, but I can find the same wines at QFC or Safeway for much much cheaper. Kendall Jackson is not an exclusive wine. I tried telling him I can find these wines at grocery stores for much much cheaper, but he said that’s not true. Feel kind of bad for him.
Besides that the selection is very limited and only domestic wines so I hope it improves but until then I will go to the other specialty shops with much better selections in Kirkland.

Awesome bottle shop. Found it just driving by. Although hubby is a beer drinker, I was here to browse the ciders. There was a few cider varieties I hadn’t seen before, even at Total Wine. Friendly & helpful staff. They even have beer & cider on tap, or will open up a bottle for you to drink while browsing. I think they will need more seating options & stuff to do (such as a tv or board games) before folks will take them up on that.
Although there are some high tops by the window, it wasn’t the most inviting place to actually stay and drink at (vs. other bottle shops we’ve been to), although that could have been because it was the middle of the day, not the evening, and completely empty besides us. I’d suggest they sell samples of the beers & ciders on tap for a reasonable price if they don’t already, as folks may be willing to do that even if they don’t want to have an entire pint.
Most everything is cold, most everything is singles (although you can also buy 6 packs), and prices were quite reasonable (even compared to high volume places). Definitely my kind of place. I bought a cider I had never seen before for several dollars less than that brand typically runs for (maybe it was a sale though as it was the last one left, by the cash register, despite it being newly released). Hubby bought a couple beers. Looking forward to coming back when we’re in the area.

Been here several times. Great selection, great service, good prices. I’m glad it’s by my home. I’ll likely be buying most of my beer and cigars from this place from here on out.
I’ve been asked several times if there’s anything I’d like to see on the shelves that they don’t already have. Seems they actually care about catering to the needs/​desires of their community. They’ve earned my business.

I finally decided to check out this shop and was surprised by their wide selection when I walked inside. They have just about any beer that you could ask for and apparently will order what you’d like if they don’t already have it. I was also impressed by their selection of local beers as well as their cigar collection. The owners were also super friendly and told me they were currently working on adding more taps as well as seating areas inside the store. Great to find a local shop I actually like, I will definitely be stopping by more often.

This place is amazing. I am a beer lover and found exactly what I was looking for. The owner also ordered my favorite beer, which they had in stock the next day. This will be my go to craft beer store from now on.

This place is pretty new, but they have a great selection of beer and their service is wonderful. We came in to see if we could get some of the craft beers we wanted for an event, and the selection here is almost overwhelming if you don’t have a lot of ideas in mind.
Also, the store itself is brightly lit and clearly laid out; even if some of the categorization is a bit weird. I asked the owners about it so they didn’t have to help me find tons of stuff, but apparently they had it first by beer type, but now it’s sorted by brewery and region. So go figure. It’s a bit confusing if you don’t know the specifics about your beers, and I got the impression that the categorization was still prone to change, so I imagine that this might be a bit of an issue until they had settled on what stock they really had or wanted to sell.
Service was really good, too. For the things they didn’t have (which wasn’t much, really), the staff were willing to take suggestions for what they should stock. They also offered multiple suggestions for types of beers that we liked, and were pretty knowledgeable about their stock. That’s pretty impressive for customer service.
When we were there it was while they’d had their soft opening; the owners said that they were also looking at having a small outdoor area, and more shelves in the middle of the store. It’d be great to see how this place develops once it’s properly underway.

Drove by today and decided to turn around to pick up some beer for the big game tonight. I’m so glad I did! Such an amazing selection and they aren’t even finished stocking the store yet. They also said they would order specialities if there’s something you can’t find. This will definitely be my go to place!

Just opened. Unfortunately, the heat doesn’t work yet so it’s going to be a chilly shopping experience until they get that fixed. When I saw it from the street I was thinking beer and cigars. Nope. More of a combined bottle shop and head shop.
Great selection of beer, but they seem to have a bit of bind spot when it comes to Belgian brewers. I took it as a great sign that they asked me what beers I’d like to see them add, and they took notes when I listed various Trappist breweries and styles of beer. They also asked for input on their selection of tap handles. They currently have about a dozen, mostly local microbrew. Almost all of their bottles are in refrigerated storage.
Should be interesting to see how this evolves.
