Inn the Doghouse

My dog loves this place she enjoys the freedom to play with all the other dogs. They romp around out side and inside in large horse stables. The dogs are paired up with ones that get along and enjoy their days. It is a much better option then a kennel and almost the same price. Every time I pick up my pup she is tired and sleeps for a while. Kim will take them on walks if they don’t get along with other dogs that way they get out side and aren’t all cooped up. They also give them couches to hang out on and make them feel at home. All around inn the doghouse has my business for the long haul.

I highly recommend Inn the Dog House to ANY pet owner. Naturally, I was nervous to board my 6-​month-​old puppy, as she is my first dog, and I could not have been happier with my experience. An unexpected business trip came up on a Friday morning and Kim and Sharon were more than willing to take my puppy that evening for a long weekend.
They took the time to learn the timid personality of my puppy and slowly introduce her to other dogs to the point where when I picked her up she was running around the yard with «the big dogs.» Not only was I able to call daily to check on her, she was bathed and her bedding washed before I returned.
Great service at a very affordable price; Inn the Dog House, you have my business and I will certainly recommend you.

Unfortunately, we had the misfortune of picking up our dog after a 3-​night stay at Inn the Doghouse in January 2010 to find she had 2 bites/​puncture wounds on her neck and head. The «doghouse» is actually a renovated barn and I’m pretty sure the dogs run around unattended most of the time, which seems great in theory (yay, freedom!) until you realize that they can get in trouble and no one would know.
The owner, Kim, seemed very concerned when we noticed this within 3 minutes of picking up our dog. She even offered to pay the $ 120 vet bill but after 2 emails following up, went silent on us.
Needless to say, this place is «in the doghouse» with us! Be warned!
