I totally agree with the other reviewer. He is Dr. Awesome and is so skilled at what he does. He will be my dentist for life should I stay in the Knoxville area. No pain and LOVES his work. It also shows itself in the wonderful product of my teeth. A rare combination today with any professional who could easily be in it for the money, so-​to-​speak.
I have had so much work done on my mouth throughout my 65 years (11 root canals, 7 bridges, 3 sets of 4 implants and 2 full mouth gum surgeries) and I honestly feel he is one of the best in the entire U.S. Having lived in 6 states and gone to countless numbers of dentists, this is a statement I do not make lightly.

This man is not just brilliant. He’s talented. And above all, he’s kind.
He’s more than a Dentist. He’s a Prosthodontist.
What is a Prosthodontist and what exactly do they do?
«A prosthodontist is a dentist who specializes in the restoration and replacement of teeth. Most prosthodontists receive two to three years of additional training after dental school in a program accredited by the American Dental Association based either at a hospital or a university. The training includes reviews of the literature, lectures, treatment of patients and laboratory experience in fabricating restorations.
Prosthodontists are the experts in dental rehabilitation and have mastered many procedures including: crowns, caps, bridges, veneers, removable partial dentures, dentures and dental implants. In addition to restoring dental implants with restorations, many prosthodontists are surgically placing implants as well.»

First Experience to Share:
1. New Year’s Eve Day.
–Office is «closed.»
–My mother is in visiting from CA and has a slight dental emergency. (not
enough to warrant the ER, but enough to call a specialist.)
–Call Dr. Awesome on his cell phone, and he tells us to meet him at the
office in 20 minutes.
–We arrive to meet him and his wife.
–Dr. Awesome has JUST come from Physical therapy for his KNEE, upon
which he has JUST had surgery.
–Though he HAD to be in pain, he understood our need and went above
and beyond to help us.
–He assesses the situation in my mother’s mouth, fixes it and sends us
on to enjoy the New Year.
–We walk out of there about an hour later, not having lost an arm or leg
in $$$, pleased to have found the best Dentist/​Prosthodontist in
Knoxville.
2. –I visit for my yearly X-​rays, cleaning and check-​up.
–No complaints but it turns out I have to go back the next day for my first filling!
— Considering I don’t have dental insurance, I was very pleased with the more than fair price of services. (Approx $ 135.00 for everything!)
3. –I go back for my first ever Cavity filling.
–Of course I am nervous because it’s my first ever in my life!
–Dr. Awesome explains to me that we don’t actually have cavities. We have tooth decay.
–The Dentist will drill away the decay and fill it. (And all my life I thought we got cavities that
needed to be filled. No other dentist ever told me it was tooth decay.)
–Did NOT feel the Novocain needle. Did NOT feel any pain.
— Leave once again not broke and extremely happy that I have found this man.
I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Awesome to anyone.
His individualized care, patience, knowledge and compassion are a recipe for Dental success!
