Pick N Grin is tucked away behind the Sonic on Kingston Pike. It used to be a full service music shop, but now it just offers music lessons upstairs. The lessons are reasonably priced, from $ 60-​$ 80 for four 30-​minute sessions depending on your instructor. The lessons range from guitar, fiddle, and banjo to other instruments. I am lucky enough to take banjo lessons from Tim and he is absolutely wonderful. He is a patient, calm teacher who exudes passion for music and helping others. Starting a new instrument as an adult is a daunting process, but he is incredibly encouraging. The place is packed with people of all ages when my lesson takes place, so I assume that the other instructors are top notch as well.
I can’t recommend this place enough for music lessons.
