Business Owner

Butch Smith is one of the men directly responsible for Smith & Hammaker’s success. He received his bachelor’s degree in economics at the University of Tennessee, where he became a Vol For Life. His favorite thing to do is to sit on his back porch with his family. Behind his passion for his family comes his passion for working. He says that even if he won the lottery tomorrow, he wouldn’t quit his job. He was only eleven years old when he got his first paying job mowing lawns. «Going to work every day at Smith & Hammaker is like coming back to your baby. You helped create it, and there is a sense of pride when you return and see how far you’ve come each week,» says Butch.
