Josh brought my 2010 Mazda3 back to life! Mahalo for being on-​time, professional & affordable! I highly recommend.

My Little boy dropped his drink all over the back of the seat and he made a big mess in the rental car when we were in vacation. We searched in Unilocal and found this guy he is super reliable. We called and less than an hour he came, and he washed the seat and the carpets. It looked like nothing ever happened. Thanks for your good work !

I had the sad misfortune of having my rent car seriously keyed while vacationing on Kauia. I noticed the vandalism Friday evening and the rental was due Sunday morning. I knew the rental return would have damages assessed and so wanted to have the scratches repaired if possible. Early Saturday morning I called 17 paint/​car repair shops on Kauia and had to leave messages since none answered (not surprising considering it was Saturday). Only 2 of the 17 contacts called me back that morning; one said that he does not service rentals (huh??), and the other was Josh from 808 Auto Reconditioning.
Josh requested text photos of the damage and replied the repair should be straightforward and made an appointment in the afternoon at my hotel. He arrived promptly and made short work of repairing the scratches (the car was returned the next day with no problems). There were no surcharges for weekend work, meeting at my location, or helping a desperate tourist. Josh put the Aloha back in my Hawaiian vacation.
My recommendations if you are renting a car on Kauia are: 1) Do not get a flashy ‘tourist’ car 2) If you do get a flashy ‘tourist’ car then consider getting the additional damage insurance 3) Park only in secure areas although this may be impossible and 4) Keep Josh’s phone number handy to help you out if needed.
I was truly impressed by the professionalism, ethics and customer service of 808 Auto Reconditioning.

Got a big scratch on the rental while driving the old road to Rock Quarry Beach, and phoned Josh who took care of it — looks like it never happened! He kept in touch via text letting me know what he needed (photos), gave me an estimate, and met me where I was located — he’s mobile. Friendly, professional, and he’s got a great smile to boot! Definitely recommend.

One year later and Josh is even better than last time! I had this 4-​inch scratch on my front bumper and he was able to make it go away like it never existed. Made me really happy.
The inside had red dirt from Polihale and I never thought the stains would come out of the carpet. My Xterra looks new inside and outside.
I’m very critical of performance so giving him a 5-​star is definitely a well deserved review. Nothing to complain about this time!

Josh at 808 Auto Reconditioning was great.
My husband and I shipped my car to the mainland today and I needed to get it detailed to pass inspection to get it on the barge.
Josh made availability in his busy schedule to fit me in so that I would not stress out about moving.
He came to my house to wash and wax my car. It looked amazing afterwards!
I am very pleased with the service he provided and will definitely be using his services again when we ship our other car.
If you’re busy and don’t have time to go to a detailer, Josh will come to you!!!
