Chill Out Yogurt

Went in a few days ago, have been in several times. The place is clean and the topping selection is wonderful. Only issue I have is, just about every time I go in, the owner/​manager (older woman) is short with her younger staff. She’s kinda condescending to these kids. They’re kids — and great kids at that! They don’t know any better and they’re trying their best to learn.
Keep it up and I won’t be back, I’ll settle for a blizzard.

This place is ran by a old white racist couple. I took my kids there for yogurt and the owners treated us like was going rob the place. I felt like I was back in the 50’s. They followed my kids around asking them not to touch anything. But meanwhile other kids of a different race was touching and tasting the ice cream with their hands etc… and nothing was said to them! It was very obvious even other customers commented about it I’m sure we make more money and have higher standard to be treated in such a way because the color of our skin. I will never go back there and have my kid go through that again!

I love this place! The yogurt is super good (especially cake batter) and the owner is super nice and helpful. Every time we go in we leave with a smile on our face and yummy in our tummy.

Good stuff, friendly customer service, and the kids like to choose their on toppings.

A really awesome store! Really friendly staff and the flavored are many! Be sure to try the coffee and the butter pecan. I’ll definitely be back in the future!

I love this place! Always good selection, well priced and locally owned. More topping selections when compared to other chains.

Let me first say that the yogurt and toppings were great. HOWEVER, we will never go back. We got 2 cups of yogurt about ½ full and spent $ 13. Rediculous if you ask me. Then, the owner was so weird and off-​putting. She hovered over us as we added toppings and apologized for every «incorrectly prepared» topping and vowing to reprimand the employees later. She went on and on about how incompetent the staff was and hinting to her superior intelligence. I felt horrible as we sat down to eat thinking about how I was somehow responsible for the trouble the staff was going to have based on complaints we didnt even make or have for that matter (everything tasted great). Then it continued to get worse. We sat down to eat and she sits down at a table across from us and starts watching youtube videos at a very loud volume on her phone… weird! After a few minutes her phone rings and she starts talking (on speaker) about some other inept employee she has (maybe a maid) and how she is ready to fire her because she cant complete a simple task. It was beyond uncomfortable. And we couldnt even drown her out because she was so loud and hadnt bothered turning on the tv for the customers. Soooooo basically if you want to spend a ton of money and be made to feel super uncomfortable, go to chill out. As for us, NEVER AGAIN!
P. S. Dont bother replying with a snarky comment owner lady. It doesnt help your case to see that you troll these reviews and berate the reviewers.

Our family loves coming here whenever we’re in the area. They have a great selection of yogurts and toppings for reasonable prices. I love that they have a variety of different things when I’m not in the mood for a yogurt treat and the kiddos are.

I’ve been here twice before and haven’t been disappointed. They have a decent selection of froyo, good toppings, and lots of syrup.
P. S. The banana pudding yogurt is BOMB.

Have been here a few times and have never had a truly bad experience.
They will offer sample cups if you ask and I have never been there and seen more than one machine down.
The only thing I would have to complain about, is on my last visit the cashier was a little less welcoming than cashiers in the past. She walked away and then came back and asked in a not so polite tone, «are you ready to check out?» This was the first time, & it could of just been a bad day.

I love this yogurt! It’s great that it’s a family owned place. They are just to expensive. I just paid over $ 7.00 for what amounts to maybe two scoops of ice cream. I know business is tough these days but a business can’t make the few customers that come in the door pay out the nose. It reminds me of high end golf courses. They would rather have a few players on the course for $ 60 than have a full course charging only $ 35. It makes no sense. Charge to get people in the door not to keep them out. The cost is the number one reason I’m not here once a week instead of once every two months. Consider a half price happy hour.

Pros: Super clean place! I love to walk into a squeaky clean facility and bathrooms. Friendly staff and good choices of toppings. I also love the punch cards, which fill up rather quickly for a free yogurt bc there are 5 in my family.
Cons: Flavors are redundant. I really wish they offered more fruit/​tropical flavors like mango, papaya or pineapple. Very seldom they carried mango and watermelon. For this reason I think twice about going to this frozen yogurt place. Please take this comment as a request not as an offense!

Alright, this is my second time coming in here and it was just as disappointing as my first visit. The flavors seemed very redundant and a lot of the machines were broken resulting in runny yogurt or no yogurt at all. I understand that happens but I think they’ve been broken for a while. They also didn’t seem to want to give tester cups. Every other yogurt place I’ve been to has been pleased to give you test cups. The toppings were bland and there weren’t that many.
The thing that really threw me off was the owners/​staff. It’s apparent that this is a family owned and run business, but they seem so hostile and abrasive. There’s a LARGE sign saying don’t steal from us, we’re watching you with cameras, and we’ll call the police. I mean really? Is that necessary? Just watch the customer’s better. There’s no need to make your customers feel as if they’re doing something wrong by just being there. Second, another Unilocaler wrote a review saying if the staff was watching customers they wouldn’t have such a problem with theft. (Anyone who has worked retail can tell you that is correct) The owner wrote her a nasty reply telling her she didn’t need to visit their store if she felt that way. Are you kidding?! If I was the owner of a business I would be doing everything I could to keep customers happy and returning. I definatly wouldn’t be telling them to take their business elsewhere.
I can deal with runny yogurt. I can tolerate a small selection of toppings, I can even deal with not tasting yogurt. What I can’t deal with, is staff who don’t appreciate the people who are keeping their doors open. Take the short drive into Austin or San Marcos– those yogurt shops appreciate your business.

Warning, potential froyo stealers!!! Chill Out Yogurt is on to you!!! Did you not see their sign? They have 7 cameras pointed at you. Seven! So while you’re choosing your boring froyo flavors and toppings they can monitor if you’re trying to steal an extra mini gummy bear or two.
Seriously, if the cashier wasn’t so disconnected from her environment you might not have that problem. Or maybe it’s just the layout of the place. There’s another froyo place across the street that’s much more friendly.
Also, they charge you a processing fee if you’re paying with plastic if it’s under $ 5.00.

Go here a lot with my stepdaughter, we like it. Good atmosphere. Like the ability to put whatever you want on a lot of different flavors of frozen yogurt.

We go here all the time, and it’s awesome! We met the owner (I think she was the owner, or manager) and she told us all about how they mix their own flavors and experiment in order to create new treats.
I’ve been to all 3 froyo places in Kyle and this one is the best!

I have driven by this place for a couple years now but never stopped in, that is until this evening. My friend was visiting me from San Antonio and wanted froyo so I decided to go here.
I think the owner/​lady said hi as we walked in but there were a bunch of people in there and it was quite loud. I took a look at the flavors and then went back up to the counter to ask for sample cups. I didn’t think she was very friendly but she definitely wasn’t rude. I’m a bit indifferent about their customer service at this time.
I only tried 2 flavors, salted caramel corn and buttered pecan. The buttered pecan was delicious! My friend chose cake batter.
There were plenty of awesome toppings to choose from which was cool. I chose a bunch of different candies, they even had little cookie dough bites!
My friend and I loaded our cups with froyo and toppings and our total was less than $ 12. Pretty decent. I like that they’re locally owned and not a chain, can’t wait to make this a frequent dessert destination for my kids and I this upcoming summer!

Awesome yogurt, awesome people. LOTS of toppings to select from and they offer smoothies and frappes. They prefer cash for
orders less than $ 5 due to the fees the banks put on them fyi but they do accept plastic. I highly recommend this place!

This is a great frozen yogurt place very friendly people and some tasty choices. I particularly loved the dulce de leche the best.
You could not go wrong coming here for a nice little treat to finish off the day with anyone and the had pistachio frozen yogurt that is epic.

This place is okay. The building is very clean, the staff were friendly. But the yogurt threw me off. A couple flavors were good, Reese’s and pistachio both notable. However, other flavors I tried (strawberry, NY cheesecake, and mounds) were pretty bad. They had a chalky texture and very sharp flavors. The cheesecake particularly literally tasted like a sharp cheese, it was pretty gross.
It is nice that they don’t add the cup into your price. I’m actually not sure if that’s typical, but this place made it known and I appreciate that. They kept telling me to not add my spoon before I weighed it so I didn’t add 5 cents. Also, the yogurt is apparently pro biotic, I’m not sure if that’s typical either with froyo, but they made it known. That makes me feel better about eating it, because it helps with digestive health, always important.
They also have paninis, soups, teas, coffee, and other menu items, but I just went for the yogurt.
If you dispense the two good flavors I mentioned earlier the place is fine, just be careful with some of the not so good ones.
