EVO has great prices. My husband is a veteran and gets discounted movie tickets every time we go. The theater is clean and the snacks are a great price. My six year-​old enjoys the arcade and they have some pretty cool prizes to buy with her tickets. Definitely a fun night or day for the whole family.

We went for the bowling and I was disenchanted. It was clean and popular, but the service was wonky and our lane had some serious problems (#8). It would hardly ever work and was super slow. I think it was using more than one frame of pins and it wouldn’t reload fast enough. Literally five minutes could go by before recycling. I’ll not do that painful experience again.

Evo is a great place to take the family, hang out with some friends or take your date to a movie. All around great place and the staff is extremely friendly.

Love, love, love Evo! You can’t beat the movie prices or the concession stand prices. We got a refillable popcorn bucket and soda cup, six bucks a piece to refill. And the have dollar hot dogs. Very reasonable. We mostly come for the movies, so glad to have this place close to home!
Bowling is great, wish there were more lanes when its busy, but overall its fun. You can order food and drinks and there is enough space for your crew, drinks and food.
Arcade is ok, again wish there was more to it, but its not too bad.

This place is HUGE! It’s an amazingly great value with great service and character too! There’s ton to do here and fun for all! There is a nice bar, 12or15 lanes of bowling, arcade games, skeeball, air hockey, pop a shot, and of course, the movies! Great place to do it all! The ticket prices are reasonable. On a Saturday night, prime time and the tickets were only $ 7.25, that’s a quarter less than anywhere else. Even with my AMC rewards it’s still cheaper. This place is really nice too. If you get to see a movie on the EVO screen, it’s right there with IMAX. The concessions are reasonably priced as well. No crazy price gouging here. The service is excellent. Staff seemed happy! I ordered a pretzel and they made me a fresh one! He could’ve given me the one in the hot box but he didn’t. I was very happy and it was really good! Now that’s good service! The place has great décor as well, giving the theater plenty of character. They have really cool, corky photos from movie icons and characters in the hallways that I love looking at on my way to the theater. I have found my new home for movies!
My only suggestion would to bring in old school arcade games & pinball games. Something like Pinballz. You are missing a segment of people that would travel for that! It would be perfect!

Great value, short lines, clean theater, crisp sound and clear projection. We went to the 5pm showing of a Friday opening day movie. That was still the matinée time so the tickets were $ 5 each. We bought a medium drink and a small popcorn (which was the size of a medium at most places). It was under $ 10 – and the popcorn was still tasty (with free popcorn salt).
From the other reviews, I can see that maybe timing of the movie (and whether you also eat a meal or play games) makes a difference. We didn’t do those things.
I’m not in the immediate area often but when I am I will definitely take advantage of this super deal again. I am a regular movie goer in downtown Austin (and I do appreciate the indie movies and theater atmosphere there) and this was the best deal I’ve found in quite a while.

Very disappointing, starting with the pizza, which was not hot and quite bland. Dear Evo, have you eaten at Home Slice in Austin or Pie Society in San Marcos? Do you know the difference between good pizza and cardboard?
The arcade: Where are the old school games? No Pac Man, no Galaga… Mostly expensive games that are played for tickets for prizes.
Overall, the place had the potential to offer something like Alamo Drafthouse, but fell short. Sorry, not impressed.

Only been once, but it was great!!! So much fun playing pool and bowling. Food was excellent comfort food. Bar options are great. Can get a little loud sometimes with the arcade but thats ok. Services were great. Everyone waa friendly and prices werent outrageous. Great time

Our go to for family fun in Kyle. They get an extra star for the veterans discount. I always am impressed by the beer selection though usually the servers don’t know much about it (asked for an ipa and they suggested a stout)… Which is understandable given its not a beer place. I love the giant sports screens while I bowl.

This theater does not know how to handle large crowds. Disorganized and unprofessional.

Long lines and very disorganized. Need to create more waiting areas and to have better communication between employees.

Movies at 5 $ before 6 is a grate price especially if you have a couple of kids! The food is even priced pretty low, not grate hot dogs but still you get what you paid for right? Still saved a bundle compared to other places.
Now for the rest of the place… it is full of pre teens and teens. Not a place where adults could go and hang out, but good place for parents to take their kids.
The place is over priced, some games didn’t work, staff was pretty sucky.
All in all for parents with kids its grate.

Great prices and a cool place all around!

Came here recently for a social work event, we had 4 lanes for bowling and a handful of pizzas for everyone to share. I did notice they had a ton of other entertainment options though, including a movie theatre and arcade, complete with a bar and restaurant. Kind of crazy to have this all one one place… crazy convenient that is! Pizza wasn’t bad either.

Really cool hang out spot reminiscent of Dave and Busters but better. There is a restaurant, bowling alley, bar, movie theater, and arcade. You can buy prepaid cards to play the arcade games. The tickets you win automatically load onto your player card which you can redeem for prizes. The bowling is by hour. Tip: bring socks because they do not sell any.

It’s a drop off spot for parents from San Marcos and Kyle and Buda. Filled with pre-​teens. Don’t go there expecting an adult atmosphere. Cheap theatre is the only good part.

Very clean and new venue. We saw a movie and the video games were state of the art. They also have bowling and a restaurant.

If I am going to pay $ 6.75 for popcorn, then I want it the way I want it– and that is with butter in the middle. Luis told me I couldn’t put butter on my popcorn because there was a line. He said I could shove a straw down my popcorn and try buttering it that way. I told him he can keep his popcorn
My husband is now speaking to the manager. If you don’t want to allow people to fix their popcorn then by golly you should have a butter dispenser behind your counter and do it for us. This is the second time we have had a problem at this theater. This is the last time we will be spending money in our town to see a movie. Austin wins in customer service. Oh, hubby just got back saying the manager was unavailable. Nice! Pathetic customer service. Unbelievable! If I could leave no stars, I would!

Restaurant: the world’s saddest salad lives here. Accompanying it is the world’s most apathetic manager.
Did I really pay nine bucks for a shredded pile of iceberg lettuce on a plate? The smell wafting off that plate was, well… foul. Vegetal. And I eat salads. This smelled nasty.
Atop my pile was a sprinkling of tomato. An equivalent of two slices of ever so finely diced avocado. Lots of green apple. Let me guess what you’re trying to skimp on? Was it not enough that I skipped the bacon and cheese? You had to give me this?
The funniest part was that the manager was completely powerless. He couldn’t be troubled to make a nice salad. I didn’t ask for anything free. Yet after visiting our table and seeing/​acknowledging the quality, he skirted our table for the next hour. It was amusing to watch him walk the perimeter of the restaurant and dodge our sight line for the rest of the visit.
What are you afraid of? We paid the forty-​two dollars for the one beer, child’s pizza, and two garden salads.
Ridiculous. RIDICULOUS.
My husband is a restaurant GM at a highly visible restaurant in Austin. We are a few bucks poorer for your establishment but you are at least two customers emptier. At least.
Word of mouth. Eat this salad.

So my review is strictly on the movie side, I haven’t gone bowling or done the arcade yet. The movie theater screen is ridiculously clear. the seats are pleather or leather and so comfortable. The actual theaters are small and so that’s nice. not too many people and the ticket price is 5.00 (during the day, and at night with a student ID). The food isn’t any more expensive then other place and this place makes me wish that I lived in Kyle, because then I would be there constantly.
I was told that on Sat. nights the bowling gets packed and I have seen the arcade at night full of children too. so that must be a good sign.
EVO did get vandalized already. which is so sad. But with all the young kids and teenagers from the surrounding areas. you never knew who did it?
I would highly recommend this place and I will be visiting it again this coming weekend. Once I have tried out the whole thing… I will do another review ;)
