Kyle Public Library

I recently renewed my library card and checked out some books. The staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly. The library had many resources that more than met my needs.
When I returned my books, I met with different staff. They, too, were wonderful, helpful and friendly.
I look forward to my next visit!

so I don’t I’ve in Kyle but i have gone a few times with my mother. The library is small and has a good selection of books. They do have a monthly Lego club, children’ programs and more. I live in Austin and so I am used too the connecting libraries to where you can transfer books and media amongst eachother. My mom says it is very quaint and always has what she needs.

I enjoy this library and have been able to find plenty of books that I like. They will even order books if possible when requested and then you are first on the list to read it. The staff have always been helpful and they have plenty of computers to use. I’ve never done any of their activities as they are all geared towards stay at home parents. I work and cannot attend events during the day. I do wish they would do more in the evening. The building is beautiful and I do recommend this library to anyone in the Kyle/​Buda area.

The building itself is beautiful. Unfortunately my experiences there haven’t been very good. The kids activities aren’t very well organized, i.e. web site says an activity goes until 1 but doesn’t, librarians allowing people to cut in front of me in line (when I had been waiting with a screaming toddler), allowing families/​kids to cut in line during kid events (it is mad chaos when there are large crowds with no discernible lines or order), absolutely no activities for kids in the evenings for working families except for one bilingual story time, no responses to email inquiries, no responses to Facebook inquiries, and many other experiences. The selection of board books is small and needing updating since many of the books have missing parts, writing in them, or other wear and tear from babies/​toddlers.
I like the selection for adults and find the kid reading corner and computers cool. I just wish the staff were a little more friendly and they organized their kid activities better.
