If you want to capture shoe prints at the bottom of your pool as evidence of your re-plastering company, Marshall Plaster is your company! We weren’t looking for that, so we’ve been pretty disappointed. Mike Marshall did our re-plaster job about a month ago. We immediately found shocking abnormalities in the job he did. Lumps, plaster bumps, arroyos and other exciting geologic formations. Perfect for the avid geology enthusiast, but not for us. There were smaller issues too. They plastered over our tile in areas that made it look like they installed chipped and broken tiles. Instead of making it right, Mike Marshall made me take off of work to come home and prove my case. It was a waste of my time. He did fix it, albeit begrudgingly. A week or two after our re-plaster, the plot thickens. Our pool stops holding water. We literally have a hose running 24⁄7 to keep it full. Oddly, we notice a crack in the plaster at the exact same time. Suspicious timing, but we gave everyone the benefit of the doubt and just asked for it to be fixed. We alert Mike to the issue, but get no response. In fact, his friend at Classic Pools who’d set us up with Mike told us Mike would come out and fix it within two weeks. You see, Mike is an important and busy person, as we’ve learned. Mike doesn’t call. In the meanwhile, I call a leak detection specialist to come out and assess the situation. H3O water systems, which I’ll leave a great review for later. They test for three or four hours and tell us the issue: it’s the crack! To wrap this story up, I call Mike on day 13 of the 14-day window we were given to have this thing fixed. He sets an appointment, not to FIX this issue, but to come and debate the accuracy of our 3+ hour leak inspection. Of course, because he’s an esteemed expert, he can do that same inspection in like 20 or 30 minutes. Oh yeah! You may be shaking your head thinking I probably got a steal on this. Nope. I put myself through this misery for about $ 11,000. And that was $ 3k+ higher than two of the four bids I got on this. Marshall Plaster does not deserve even half a star.
