The bread here is made fresh every morning and they also sell ice cream macarons and they taste amazing! They’re not too sweet like the other macarons they sell in malls. I’ve tried all the ice creams macarons and I personally really like the mango one

First of all, the owner is SO sweet and nice. Secondly, as other reviewers have commented, it’s basically the only Korean bakery in La Crescenta/La Cañada. I normally get the patbingsu(Korean shaved ice with various toppings) to share with my family, but I’ve also gotten cakes, breads, and the iced coffee. All have been delicious! Would highly recommend.

2 buns. 1 muffin. 1 very nice lady at the register. buns & muffin were a little too sweet. the buns bread were dry-ish. nice quiet bakery in la crescenta. limited narrow spaced parking @ briggs plaza. caution — drivers at this plaza drive like lunatics.

My first introduction to Korean baked goods and I am very happy with the quality of what I bought. The selection was good, and the prices very reasonable. I bought tofu cookies, which were similar in taste to sesame tea cookies. Tasty. I will be back to try other offerings.

I’m a fan of Korean bakeries and this wasn’t a let down. Came through rather late in the evening, so no one was in this quaint shop so it gave the owner(?) ample opportunity to help me out. She was rather nice and helped to box and bag the numerous pastries and breads I grabbed from here. Solid pastries. Not sure how often I would be around this area, but I would come back again.

Went here based on Unilocal reviews. The korean lady was super nice and super helpful! She gave me cute candles and a plastic cake knife. love that about asian bakeries! By the time I got there around 7pm, there were only 2 selections of the smaller cakes. She mentioned something about whipped cream in her broken english… later I found out there was whipped cream in the center of the cake… delicious! I ended up with the blueberry cake which tasted and smelled like blueberry but there weren’t any blueberries in the golden cake. kinda odd but still tasty! The cake was sweet but not too sweet like American cakes… I ended up having more than one slice! I only wish the cake was slightly less dry and that the prices were cheaper($ 24 for a small cake)…but I will definitely be back to try the other flavors like green tea or mocha cake.

It has been so hot here in California that I was craving some nice cold freezing Patbingsu and came here to satisfy my craving. It was $ 7 for 1 good sized bowl that my husband and I both shared and had fresh fruit, orange sorbet and other things you usually find on a patbingsu. This is not some fancy Korean bakery like some others you can find in Glendale or Los Angeles, but the lady was very nice and we kind of like the peace and quiet while stuffing our face with this frozen goodness. While we were eating here, a few people were taking the Patbingsu to-go, will come again!

The only Korean Bakery I can think of in the La Crescenta Area. This sweet Ajumma owns it and you can find a wide variety of baked Korean/Chinese/American Pastries. I recommend the Garlic bread, Pizza bread, and the blueberry muffin. Very affordable and tasty. Definitely enjoyed this mom and pop place in La Crescenta.

I was looking for a bakery for a bday cake for my aunt and all good bakeries in Pasadena were closed. I really didn’t want to get a bummy Vons cake. I wanted something good but local & it was a Monday so we were going to celebrate at Gringos another nearby establishment. Thank God for Unilocal I found this place! Based solely on the Unilocal reviews I got a pretty little blueberry chiffon cake for $ 29. Not a bad price for the size and pretty fruit on top.(Probably serves 10 – 15 people) The owner is a super sweet Korean woman and I told her I had found her online so she even threw in a little pastry that was super good! Later that night we sang to my aunt & cut that baby up. Omg, if I thought that cake smelled good it was definitely NOTHING compared to how it tasted!!! It was delicious!!! Nice light cake with a great and perfectly sweetened frosting! not at all messy, too sweet, and definitely notttt dry!!! Please fellow Unilocalers, go visit this great mom & pop store you will NOT be disappointed!!! Get the blueberry for sure, I will be going back again this week!

Ahh ~~! Childhood memories every time I step in and smell the aroma of freshly baked goods and cookies. This is the closest Korean bakery nearby my house and regardless of it’s cramped conditions or tacky furnishings, I think it’s just fine. Bakery House keeps things simple and tasty so what more could you ask for? All the breads/cookies/crackers have labels in Korean and English, but no real break down of the ingredients nor the calories which is fine. i already know too many carbs in my system isn’t good for me, but who gives when bread tastes so good? :P If you don’t know what to get, feel free to try these out: Mocha Bread: coffee lovers alert! You’ll get hooked once you try it. The bread itself is plain, but that sticky bittersweet coffee glaze on top makes it magical. Almost addicting really. Soboro Bread: all time favorite! It looks weird, and crumbly but trust– you need to try it! The bread itself is light while the flakey peanut butter streusel adds a nice texture and an irresistible nuttiness to the flavor. Love love love! Can’t get enough of this goodness! Corn Bread: very dense but delightfully so! I love that there are corn kernels in the bread. I’m always down for some Korean pastries– are you? :) Notes: * parking lot is a MESS. It’s cramped, it’s hard to turn your car around if you find parking, and just overall, no bueno. * you can tell the owner isn’t super comfortable with speaking English so you might feel a bit uncomfortable as well, but no worries! you can manage by just picking the pastries and paying for them. * cakes… meh not my thing. You can better invest your money elsewhere for a better Asian-styled cake.

All I speak can for is their blueberry white cake. It is so light, so fresh with the perfect amount of sweetness. Everyone I get this cake for really enjoys it. I admit, I pick one up every month since I’ve first had it.

My mom loves their butter bread… as do I. It’s so soft and slightly sweet. Toasting it with some butter is perfect for breakfast. I don’t know how Koreans make their bread so much tastier than U.S. brands, but It’s delicious. The items are limited, but most of them are really good. It’s a convenient location for me… Just down the street from my house. There are other Korean Bakeries with better and bigger selections, but I come here because it’s close. Make sure you get there early in the morning for their Butter Bread. That’s when it’s just baked and«oh so soft». If you have certain food allergies, I would be careful. They use a universal plastic package for each item which states«butter, flour, sugar… etc). It never states it has nuts even though come contains them. Calories? You’ll never know either…

Bakery House now serves tart«vanilla» and mango frozen yogurts and they are well um, they are ah-right. Nothing too impressive. Good selection of Korean breads and pastries but meant to target the local Korean market AKA not me. So unless I’m with a Korean friend, I probably will never go back. Still it’s a good way to satisfy the pinkberry craving — mediocrely.
