Gene N.

Business Owner

Gene started out in entertainment as a guitarist in Minneapolis/​St. Paul, MN in the mid 90’s. When he returned to Chicago, he explored other ways to express his love for music. He founded Jamtyme Entertainment in 2000 and eventually found a good match with Sound Of the Times Entertainment. In 2002, Gene merged Jamtyme with Sound Of The Times Entertainment. At the time, both companies specialized in karaōke. In 2004 Gene dove into his DJ career fulltime. No longer a weekend warrior, Gene had a vision for something grander and has since been focusing on weddings and corporate events. Over the years Gene has been attending workshops and seminars to fine tune his emcee skills and grow his business.

Gene has been an active participant in the Mobile Entertainer industry and is the co-​founder of the 911DJservice network, a member of the American Jockey Association and a recipient of the Brides Choice Award from Wedding Wire in ’10, ’11 and ’12.
