Affordable Services Tree & Landscape

I’ve dealt with this company several times over the past years to do annual palm tree maintenance. It’s a simple job and the three 20 – 30 foot palms are easily accessible with no safety hazards nearby. The job is a quick turnaround & they’ve never had any difficulties.
Each time I call for the annual maintenance, I never know who I’m dealing with. I believe Juan is the business owner, but I’ve had to deal with different guys I’m not familiar with. It seems as though they’re a group of independent workers under one licensed business maybe. Every estimate has always been wildly outrageous compared to previous years. When I remind them how much I paid the years before, they adjust their price down, but never the same as before. On one occasion, I told them it was an outrageous price and they quickly reduced the price quite a lot. Obviously, they’re fishing for a ridiculously higher price if they can get it, rather than to retain a repeat customer.
This year was more of the same and I’ve finally had enough of their business tactics. So I decided to do a search on Unilocal.Upon my search, I noticed this biz pops up more than once. Same company name, but worded slightly different. Same address, but different phone numbers. Another listing has the same name but a completely different address & phone number in a nearby city. And, the only reviews they have are negative.
Too many inconsistencies leaves me suspicious. I would like to see Unilocal look at the business listing and make any corrections. Even better, Affordable Tree Service should clarify the confusion. It’s a catchy name but hardly representative of the company.

Although this company advertises in the local yellow pages & answers a local number, they wasted my time on an estimate – when I assumed they would show up ready to do the job that same day. Although I told them that it was a small job, they sent someone in a very clean company pickup, then ignored my numerous calls to schedule the job, finally saying it was too small & too far from their home location. Just before my estimate, however, they had driven from Laguna Beach, which is a longer drive for them – I know, I commuted through this county for decades. All they had to do was tell me they didn’t accept small jobs – I realize the cost of gas now – and at least offer a referral of someone who could do the job here, but they wasted my time, postponed my job another week, & still have an ad in the local phone book. Don’t bother calling – they are one of the companies who do free estimates just to spot large, big-​profit jobs. If they can’t help me with this initial small job, I won’t call them for the big one (we own more than one property – some of which are heavily treed). My small jobs are usually a trial run for a company which I received no recommendations for. But they left me hanging. Think about it, Affordable… When a company goes out of their way on a small job, I will use them for big, important jobs, for decades, while giving their name to others (Expecting no perks in return). No stars for this company at all…
