All Tune and Lube

I’ve been coming here for more than a year now and have always received top notch service. I’ve brought three different cars here including my BMW and they know exactly what to do. Mo is awesome and loves to help in any way possible. They never look to rip any one off and they always make sure everyone leaves satisfied!

I cannot say Thank You enough to Mo and Hamzeh for helping me out and taking care of the issues I had with my truck.
A little background. I had coolant leaking from my water pump and noises coming from a couple of the belts. I was told that my water pump would need to be replaced. This would be water pump number 3 since March of 2015. The water pump installed in March 2015 needed to be replaced in December 2015. And now it needs to be replaced again? Something’s not right.
I explained my situation and Mo was very honest and accommodating. He and his team were able to discover that because of an undiagnosed problem this would keep happening. He let me know the tensioner belt was worn and the idler pulley was also failing due to an issue with Nissan vehicles 2005 – 2010 (my truck is a 2006 Frontier). Had this been addressed previously at the other shop I took the truck to I likely would not need another water pump (see my previous review about auto repairs).
Needless to say, I wasn’t thrilled about having to pay for another water pump, but Mo convinced the other shop to cover the cost for the water pump.
Mo was fantastic with his explanations of what was going on and extremely courteous about following up on a regular basis. Mo and his team have won me over with their amazing work and customer service, and have earned my business. It is so difficult to find a reliable, honest auto repair shop, but it does exist at All Tune and Lube. I will be coming back for sure.

Mo and Hamzek are the BEST! I called All Tune and Lube, AAA car repair specialists, after my car broke down. They provided excellent and prompt service as they assessed the problems, provided me with the cost of repairs and I am now back on the road. They told me about a Consumer Assistance Program that may reduce my cost to replace the car’s failing catalytic converter — that darn «Service Engine Soon» light. I plan on taking my car to them for future needs and happily recommend them to all of my family and friends.

I’ve been going to them for years and always have had a great experience.
This past experience wasn’t any different my struts and shocks are fantastic.

Heard about this place from my good friends and neighbors and decided to give this place a try for a smog check. Their service is top notch. They were able to take of me quickly. I would highly recommend!

Pulled in for a tire repair, my tire was really low and all I needed was a patch. They told me that they were short a mechanic and they couldn’t do it. Being short a mechanic is completely understandable. I asked if they could just fill my tire up with air and I would bring it in tomorrow since i live in the area. They refused to do it because they were on break. Something so simple that would have taken a minute to do and they did not want to do it. I just walked away and told them not to worry about it and as I was driving away they were chuckling. So unprofessional. Took it to salinas down the street and they took care of patching my tire in 15 minutes.

I too cannot say enough good about MO and the owner (dad). I live in LB but was in La Habra on a errand that SHOULD have taken a half hour! I mention this because I drove — in traffic — on the 91 — for a GOOD hour to run this errand. My truck was FINE til I got to LH, all the sudden just SLOWED down. would not pick up speed. Called AAA for a tow ($$$$ from LH to LB), the highly recommended this shop, and because they were close to where I was broke down, what the heck. So while I wait for the tow, I call AT&L, and speak to MO (Im thinking its just another shop who wont care… Im a woman and that tends to happen…) to my SHOCK he told me I would get PRIORITY service… do you know how rare that is to hear from a mechanic?
Well the tow truck dropped me off (and the truck), they literally removed another car and took mine! Then MO walked me through the process, I FELT important. I was guaranteed that they would know what was wrong and I would not be stranded.
Well, that was at 3PM. By 530, they still had no idea BUT they kept testing EVERYTHING and I SAW them test drive it after each test. No guessing, they actually were determined to find out what the heck was wrong. By 545 the owner told me they still had no idea, BUT they made arrangements for a rental car… at their expense…
The fix WAS pricey. A lot pricier than I imagined… BUT to have it towed back to LB and then pay someone there to fix, it was cheaper. And the rental car, that just did it for me, they were under no obligation to get me a rental.
The problem (as it turned out) was partly the fuel pump, which I had just replaced, but they gave me the «new» one back so that I can get a refund on the replacement.
I will probably never go back because they are so far, but if your in La Habra and need an HONEST mechanic that cares… go see them…
Oh! BTW, while I waited in the lobby, there was a woman waiting to get a radiator tank… she told me she had been coming for years, for different cars and they all knew her… that impressed me too.
My sister lives in LH and based on how I was treated, she will be a customer for life!

I told MO yesterday when I picked up my truck that I would post this, as a thank you for staying after closing yesterday so I cold P/​U my PU :) … charging my phone that had died on the drive.
I mean every word, they are amazing!

These guys really bent over backwards trying to diagnose all the issues with my sister’s car (which we bought used not long ago). The car was running, but had all kind’s of problems, so it took a few visits before we found everything that seemed to snowball from one thing to the next. (No fault of the shop. The car has some electrical problems that had to get diagnosed.)
Mo was the young man we worked with, and he is very friendly and genuinely seems to want to get your problems resolved in the best way. I recommend them and I’m sure my sister will go back when she has future work required.
Additionally, my sister has some disabilities with attention and understanding, and Mo was very good with her after I told him about her. I appreciate that he seemed to go the extra mile to help her understand the repairs and be comfortable with bringing her car to them.
I think their prices are at the lower end of the averages for an independent shop, plus Auto Club members get a 10% discount.

I’ve decided to take my wife’s car from the dealer to All Tune and Lube. It’s a 2008 and the dealer was far from the house and they have been trying for years to take care of a rattle that sounds like its coming from the engine or transmission mounts for years and they still haven’t been able to sort it out. I thought I would an independent garage.
Anyway they diagnosed the rattle as a axle problem which I gave them the OK to replace. But after a couple of month’s, the noise is back and louder as ever. So I feel I paid a few hundred dollars for parts and labor for nothing.
I really can’t fault these guys fully. The dealers who specializes in these cars hasn’t been able to fix it for years, so hoping these guys could do it was optimistic. Price was meh, experience was meh. I’m sure with the standard brakes, oil changes they are fine. It’s just with my experience, it’s not making me run back again and I’ll probably take the car to another shop. Didn’t fill me with full confidence.
Plus these guys advertise like mad on the internet, which personally makes me a bit suspicious. I found them on Unilocal and checked out their profile. And now for months afterwards, their banner ads follow me around where ever I go on the internet. I always thought that local garages that have been around for a while, eventually get a pretty steady flow from existing customers. And if you have advertise this hard to fill the garage bays, maybe something isn’t right.
UPDATE 2÷19÷2016.
I got a call from the shop this morning saying that they read my Unilocal review and asked if they could have another try at my wife’s car under warranty. I let them know that I’m already trying another garage, but the rattles is still there.
I appreciate the fact that he was extremely polite and were trying to take care of the issue. Obviously they are concerned with their reputation and I understand the importance. I know that they could have taken a much more adversarial position when reaching out to me, but they certainly didn’t. For that I must give them credit.
Using the rating system that Unilocal has established, there really isn’t a way in their scoring system to recognize them for their efforts.

I needed a smog check for my car and checked Unilocal for a reputable car shop. All Tune & Lube had good reviews and I decided to go to them for a smog check and oil change. The service was quick and the price was great. (Be sure to check online for coupons.). I never tried a major service at All Tune & Lube yet, but I’d be willing to give them a shot in the future if the price was competitive.
The reason I decided to leave 5 star feedback is because a previous customer accidentally left his wallet at the shop. The employee who found it first asked if it was mine. I told him it wasn’t. He then immediately called the customer that just left the waiting room to notify him of his missing wallet. It was an honest thing to do and that goes a long way when we’re talking about a car shop.

Mo and his dad gave me the best rate and the best service. All the other shops were charging a really high price, but they beat them all and gave me Twizzlers and treated me very well! Everyone should go here.

Quick service, was a walkin customer for oil change, and tire rotation. Price was very fair and car ran so much better and felt it when pulled away. Didn’t try to upsell me on anything so that was a first and much appreciated for not doing that.

Went for a smog check on my truck. Total cost would have been $ 65, but I was allowed to use the coupon on my phone for $ 40. Service was fast and completed within 15 minutes.

These guys are priced ok — got introduced through AAA which gets you a 10% discount on their services. Their quote on parts and labor was kind of high. I found a good deal on parts online and brought them there, so they could just do the labor. They don’t like that so they charged me about $ 100 for installation of each item they had to do. They said it was a one-​time thing, and from now on, they will not allow you to bring in your own parts. Mo, the younger guy, is cool, but the older guy (must be the owner) is not so generous. They make you feel a little bit hustled. They told me to bring in 5 quarts of oil and a filter and made it sound like they would just include it service, but I forgot when I was getting the repairs done, and when I brought the oil and filter later, they charged me for labor. So it’s good to ask upfront if they will be charging, and how much, make them tell you clearly.
By the way, i wouldn’t pay attention to the reviews with 0 friends and a few reviews.

I love this business. They keep all my vehicles in good running condition. Very honest people. Some things may be a little expensive but they don’t try to sell you something you really don’t need. I have been coming here for years. Very nice family environment.

This is a great family run business. I have been coming here for the past 9 years and my mum has been coming hear almost twice as long… These guys are honest, efficient, friendly, go out of their way to help you out… They kept our 1989 Nissan sentra running so well until we had to retire her due to an accident otherwise that car would still be on the road!!! They are much better than the dealership auto service departments. Now I bring my Honda here for EVERYTHING, Including SMOG check… Hamzeh the owner and his son are awsome… And the new recliners to sit in and watch TV as you wait are awsome!

After purchasing a Groupon for an oil change for 17 $ I thought this place would be great. Moe is friendly and curteous. However, I paid 10 $ for a tire rotation and when I picked my vehicle up they obviously didn’t do it. I pointed out if they had then the front rims with a lot of brake dust would be on the back of the car. He assured me that they did do a rotation. So I asked how they were able to do it and not leave any prints from removing the tire. At this point they offered to «re-​do» the rotation. Right…

So I moved to so cal from the bay area and my boyfriend told me this shop was pretty good. I had lots of transmission problems with my Volkswagon and I went to many shops to get an estimate on a new one because that’s what was recommended to me. I went to him and told him my problem with my transmission and how it was hesitating when going up hills and so fourth.
He said let me check it out, just allow me to do a diagnosis first before I make any recommendations. I thought that sounded fair, so I left my car and paid $ 120 bucks. Next day he calls me and says I had a large transmission fluid leak from the transmission oil pan and that caused me to run my transmission without fluid. NO ONE EVER CHECKED MY TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVELS. So he said he can open the oil pan up, seal it back up with a new gasket and new fluid for about $ 420 and that would include the diagnosis. I said that’s fine, but he said he can’t really tell how much I’ve already damaged my transmission. But I decided to trust his expertise, the day after I got the best phone call ever, he said «we just saved your transmission!!!» I went down because I couldn’t believe it, test drove it and it felt amazing. HE JUST SAVED ME OVER $ 3000 BUCKS!!! This man is an angel and I never met such a caring mechanic.
I don’t usually write reviews but I felt I had to let people know, this guy is really interested to taking care of you and your vehicle. He might charge a bit much but it really is worth the experience he has. He told me his been in business for 20 years! No wonder, he is my only mechanic and I won’t go anywhere else ever again. I am sorry to write this review. I’ve used this shop for over 10 years and have come to like the people that work there. However on my latest repair I was charged $ 713 for struts and shocks that could be purchased online for under $ 300. This was for parts only, labor was another $ 552. When I called to ask why the markup was so high he said he was overcharged by his supplier. It seems to me that someone in the business should know what a fair price is. I am disappointed that I will need to find a new shop.
Update:
The shop called me back and said that the online parts are cheaper because they are not covered under warranty but I checked and they are covered. I asked for $ 140 refund but they would only offer me store credit. I give them credit for trying to make it right but I have not yet decided whether to give the shop another shot and use the credit.

The first time I came here was in January 2014, and I had a really bad experience. A pretentious employee was rude to me about the type of car I had, and gave me problems while I was waiting for my car to be smog’d.
I decided to try coming back again, after having seen that the Unilocal reviews were high… It was worth a second try!
This time was much better. I was in and out in less than an hour. The smog cost $ 30 including the DMV certificate, if you mention the web coupon. I did some research and couldn’t find anything in the area for cheaper than this. I would probably go back here again the next time I have to get my car smog’d.
