Went to the location today and found no barbeque but lots of people stripping cactus. They said the BBQ had closed. Did they change locations or are they totally gone?

Cory Bros makes small batches of BBQ in his small-industrial complex eatery. We came late in the evening on a Friday night just before closing and helped him sell out for the day. Literally, we ordered the last remaining 1 pulled pork sandwich and 4BBQ chicken legs. It’s a new place so I was happy to see his food appreciated and he was experiencing some amount of success. The pulled pork sandwich was a nice, wet sandwich. The roll was soft, the pork tender and the sauce judiciously used. The grilled peppers on top were an interesting touch and added some sweetness. The chicken legs were pretty good too slathered in a different BBQ sauce. They didn’t really taste barbecued, smoked or grilled in any way but they were still tasty as well cooked chicken and BBQ sauce. The two sides were quite small. The BBQ beans came in a small styrofoam container usually used for condiments. The beans were sweet and creamy and matched well with the meats. The coleslaw was very fresh and zesty — with lots of raw onion. A few tips for finding the place: It is in the northwest corner of Lambert & Palm but look for the BBQ flags in the driveways and the neon«open» sign.

This Place is awesome. Living on the border of Brea and La Habra I always had to drive a distance for good Barbeque. Do your self a favor and try this place. So far I have done the Ribs, the Pulled Pork and brisket and I would put that along side any of the Barbeque around. No 2 hour wait like Lucille’s, brisket is juicer that Dave’s and the Ribs are meatier than Blake’s. You will not be disappointed.

I found this place while visiting our friends next door(kindle kreative) and noticed that there was a BBQ place that smelled so delicious. My friend and I ordered our own plates and split our sandwiches. He ordered the pork pulled sandwich and I ordered the brisket sandwich with a side if their homemade potatoes wedges … It was so fresh and the sauce was perfect for my taste. I was very impressed with their menu, the food, and prices. Quick and very fresh. I went back to order the ribs for our community potluck and they were a Hit! I called them last minute to place an order and they totally came through! Great service. Totally recommend this place ;)

I was on a nice spirited walk one sunny happy morning when I turn around the corner and see a little sidewalk stand making sure the world was aware that Cory Bros Backyard Barbeque was sitting hidden in this strange and tiny hole in the wall behind buildings in a little commercial center. I talked to the owners and they stated that they have barely been open for a month, but business was decent and are very positive and friendly people, great people to go to lunch with. They have stated that this is «Oaklahoma» style BBQ, which is new to me, what is OK style I wondered. So I dove in and hoped for the best, and what I got was a good sign of things to come. I ordered a to-go order for two pulled pork BBQ sandwiches, with a side of potato salad and a chicken leg(also a side for the sandwich). Evrey bbq loving man out there screaming in unison, YOUGONNAGIVEME A CHICKENLEGAS A SIDE!!! LOADMEUP!!! ‘Tis the truth, got back to the shop and low and behold there was a sauced up chicken leg in there for a side dish. Delicious! The sauce was delectable! My GF found it too spicy, but she noted the flavors were on the«super good» side of the spectrum so I’m going to go with that assesment, even though she let me eat her sandwich, which was as delicious as mine thank goodness! lol The potato salad was good, but I felt it could have been maybe a little thicker, but I enjoyed it never the less. The sandwiches themselves were a decent size, and felt good to eat. The chicken leg was perfect too! I’ll be coming back to try the brisket and see if they had a «milder» sauce for her, but keep it mouth kicking spicy for the rest of us. :-) If you are in the vicinity of Lambert Rd, and Palm Ave. in the city of La Habra /Brea boogey on in and try these guys out. I’m all for supporting small business that are trying and trying really hard to make it, so reward these guys and give them a shot! You should have a happy and fulfilling BBQ lunch experience in an area of town seriously lacking such BBQ awesomeness!
