We just arrived and they turned us away

Hit or miss type of place. But when it’s good it’s good. I’ve been going here since I was a kid and I still love the skee ball. Always gotta stop by when I feel like watching the game and having a meal with the boys.

Great atmosphere. The owner is really nice and always remembers us. Always go for the bunch a lunch.

My husband & I love Shakey’s Pizza but the service is lacking. The last couple times we go our food always takes way longer than they say it will and there’s a young guy who works there who seems to always have his friends visiting him & getting food. It’s not a huge deal but its just annoying to have to wait for this guy to feed & mingle with his friends before we get our food. The games are pretty run down & weve gone a couple times when theyre about an hour away from closing & the games are already turned off so we have to ask for them to turn them on & we kind of get that stink eye while they do it. We’ve just been getting our food to go lately because we love the pizza but honestly the environment sucks.

Not impressed anymore. Ever since there was new ownership, the choices for drinks were punch & ice tea, no sodas at all, oh and water. The cashier lady was taking care of the cash register & making pizzas without washing her hands. Food was bland and dressings were watery. I think I’ll visit a different location next time.

My family has been coming to Shakey’s since I was a little kid. Even after all the different pizza places have come and gone, Shakey’s, to me, is still number one. I prefer the thin crust, but surprisingly the thick crust is also very good. The family meal deal is starting to creep up in price so the deal is just a rhyme. But the mojos, OMG, soooo good in ranch dressing. Don’t forget the jalapeños to top the pizza. It’s still one of the better options after a baseball/​softball game or kids soccer match. Parents can get a couple of pitchers of brews and the kids can play the games. Yup, best of both worlds…

The husband and wife owners are so sweet. The food is consistently delicious. Great environment for a family. Little arcade there too

I came here at a bad time. There were a couple of teams and well… I had never been at a louder restaurant before. I don’t remember Chuck E. Cheese being this loud. Seriously I could not think while placing my order. It was pretty terrible, how can people talk this loud and let their kids run amok?!
Anyway, reason I’m here… The food was pretty standard for a Shakeys. We ordered and the food came out decently fast. Besides all the noise, the food was good. Good portions of chicken and potatoes.

Came here for lunch, was craving hawaiian pizza. The buffet was going on and my fave location personally is in Norwalk. The buffet was missing a lot of pizzas and here for like 40 minutes, waiting for my hawaiian slice and they only have pepperoni and smores pizza available. Also i noticed there was a little kid working which I thought was odd, not sure if he was on spring break but he was clearing tables and stocking food and behind the counter. I felt bad for the kid, but it was family owned I’m guessing. Overall I wouldn’t come again because they didn’t restock the food in the buffet. Even after asking how much longer. So no bueno for this location.

How does a big chain like shakey’s doesn’t have online ordering? Very disappointing.

This place is gross. The tables, chairs and walls are sticky and the bathrooms are disgusting. The employees don’t wash their hands and they’re serving you food. Yuk! I couldn’t get out of that place fast enough.

My husband and I dream about Shakey’s. We live overseas, and have family in CA. So needless to say, we save up our calories and wait for the day until we can visit Shakey’s again and indulge in the pizza, chicken, and mojo’s. Yum! Yum! This Shakey’s is close to my parents’ house. The owners are very sweet, and helpful. They are especially kind to my rambunctious two-​year old, so that always wins extra points in my book. My mom who is ultra picky about restaurant food loves the pizza and chicken here. That says a lot. I love that the pizza is crispy and wonderfully balanced with the sauce and toppings. Nothing is overdone, and is just oh so right. I don’t expect bargains here, but I know the owners do offer discounts to seniors.

I hadn’t been to a Shakey’s in the longest time, and boy oh boy was I missing out. Me and two friends came here after a long night of indicision of where to eat. Finally, memories (or the Ghost of Shakey’s’ Past) made us come here. Best.Decision.Ever.
For a good chunk of time we had the entire restaurant to ourselves (weekday nights must be pretty slow) which was awesome. Others later joined, but not before the worker closed down our area (probably to avoid cleaning later), which made us look super VIP :)
We had two pizzas (BBQ Chicken and regular pepperoni) — the chicken was great (I really enjoyed the bbq sauce on it), and the pepperoni was surprisingly light.
We also got an order of chicken strips and mojo potatoes (along with the mojo supreme thingy — essentially mojo potatoes with sour cream, cheese, etc on top). The chicken was chicken, nothing too crazy, but I forgot how much I loved Mojo Potatoes (littles heavenly slices of potatoes).
I also loved how they had all the sauces in squeeze bottles (making my life easier).
Overall a great experience. It might be because I was delirious with hunger when we walked in, or that childhood memories clouded my judgment, but I really enjoyed my meal.

Love this place. The food is good, the service is good and they don’t make you feel rushed. Awesome place to come with the family. Also, as crowded as they may be, it doesn’t feel cluttered. Great spot.

Food was bland. The chicken, pasta & pizza had a generic, institutional type texture & flavor. Awful. I don’t get the positive reviews. It’s not even a good deal. Yuck!

Run by Koreans so there are no bargains here. They move around like zombies and smile as they drain your wallet for sub par food.
Over 10 bucks for a small pitcher of domestic beer sucks as well.
The atmosphere stinks as well. Nothing but Latino families with unruly noisy kids running wild here. That and the overabundance of TV monitors running nothing but sports!
Avoid this place!

$ 20.99 for 1-​topping medium pizza, fried chicken and mojo potatoes.
If you ask me if its worth it? It’s aiiiiiite…
The medium pizza quality is below standards, the downside to it was that the pizza was dry, the pepperoni toppings was okay. The fried chicken and the mojo’s probably uses the same seasoning, but the mojo potatoes were made smaller? They may have scaled back or cost cut the mojo’s, I remember years ago these potatoes slices were a little bigger. Still they are crispy same goes for the fried chicken.
Highly recommend for a family outing here. They have some beat up arcade machines and games you can win tickets for prizes. In weekends in Shakey’ s you see a lot of little league baseball gatherings, but hey its nice to see the fam-​bams celebrate and having fun.
I’d like to try out their specialty pizzas because getting the budget meal you really get what you payed for.

After living in AZ for 10 years — I missed Shakey’s pizza! Imagine my delight when my son started preschool across the street from my favorite childhood pizza parlor :)
I don’t know what it is about Shakey’s pizza, I can’t put my finger exactly on what makes it taste like Shakey’s — it’s just GOOD.
Here’s what I do know: Get the large order of Mojo potatoes, add jalapenos, eat them! Heat & eat them the next day! And if you haven’t devoured them after 2 servings there must be something wrong with you.

The food… its shakeys, if you grew up in OC you know what it taste like.
I cant resist– the same guy eats here all the time I see him almost every night I drive by… I won’t describe him, but he is living the dream!!!

Yup I fell off the bandwagon of eating healthy. All I have been eating this month has been loaded with lots of yummy goodness. Shakeys is on that list! You might wonder why would someone come and eat here for lunch. All I would like to say is that within reason this place is pretty cheap!
Just think about it. Two people with two drinks for $ 18.95 which is less than $ 10.00 per person! Yes for lunch that is a steal and a very good deal! I have to say I am proud that I am saving a little bit of money while pigging out.
This buffet is literally filled with loads of food. Many different types of pizzas from thin crust to regular crust. Also I love the veggie one. Loaded with tons of veggies is my favorite. They also have chicken wings and the famous mojos!
This location is clean and the people here are really really nice! I can’t believe it but I think this is my new Shakeys spot. It is a little bit on the far side in Orange County but hey they do it right!
I can say that I saw soo many different pizzas coming out and not one time did they not have any slices of pizza during the lunch time. It was awesome. I got to try a wide variety and topping filled pizzas!
They also have a mini salad bar if you want to take in some extra veggies. Also to the other side they have spaghetti and even mashed potatoes.
Parking was simple and the lady in front was super fast in collecting our money and handing over our plates. She also said if our plate is dirty just come and pick up some more later. :)
