What can you say? The absolute best Post Office anywhere! Karen and Jack give efficient, friendly, and personal service. Karen is the unofficial Mayor of La Honda and I really hate to think about what will happen to the spirit of this town if she ever retires. They are the center and soul of this town.

After coming from a Big City post office, the lovely Karen and the super-​efficient Jack are a pure delight. We, in La Honda, have the best post office on the planet, period. They have helped me move to town, figure out how to change an unchangeable address, ship a chicken to Ohio. in the winter…(Yes really, a chicken), run after me in the parking lot when they found another package that had just been delivered… and the list goes on and on. These two are just amazing. Thank you, thank you!

History’s greatest rural post office, hands down.

Jack and Karen are awesome. They knew me within a matter of weeks, and sometimes even have my packages ready to hand me before I walk through the door. Seriously, I have *never* seen postal service this good. They are also total La Honda staples, and support everything from local businesses to the local elementary school.

You know what? This is a total shout-​out to Greg & Karen. I don’t even know if they work there anymore, but they were there from the time I was born to when I moved away at age 23.
The post office has always been super clean (not so surprising for a small town) and just… nice. They put up paintings from the local elementary school. They started recycling all the junk mail nobody wanted back before it was cool. They sell raffle tickets for the volunteer fire department’s fundraisers.
And most of all, they let a tiny little girl with a tiny little bladder use their bathroom when she couldn’t make it those last two miles home.
