Great atmosphere, so so food and very hit and miss beer. Used be much better but really has gone downhill lately.

This place is super fun and casual, similar to BJ’s! Our party got TONS of food that fed 10 people for $ 80 and it was super filling. I’d love to come back and try more food!

My party of five had lunch at Rock Bottom today.
Service was fine, but no tasters were offered. It’s a brewery, isn’t it?
We made our orders and that was that. My nachos were pretty good, considering the vast quantity and the minimal price, $ 10. The California Blonde Ale was very fresh and clean, a great beer with nachos.
It was an OK experience there, but it would have been pretty much the same in Denny’s or Red Robin. It’s a brewery, isn’t it?

I like coming here for the Happy Hour! The CALAMARI is great and the service is great too. It’s a vast group of people that come here too. It’s nice to come and kick back also it’s literally a mile from my place so I could walk if I chose to. Definitely a regular!

The beer is good even though the selection does not change too often. The servers are very polite though clearly overworked. Fun environment especially right after work when all the business people are there for happy hour. Incredible happy hour prices as well. My advice would be to hire a couple more staff so the wait time isn’t so outrageous and maybe switch up what is on tap more often. Besides that a fun place to go with good beer, decent food and amazing happy hour prices.

Horrible, absolutely horrible service. When I first walked in, everything seemed ok and they were busy. As my brother and his girlfriend showed up, it took longer to get someone to order drinks from. Finally, after 15 minutes, we all had beers. We waited another 25 – 30 minutes to order our food. Our server was horrible. He’s too bay staring at women walk by as he’s trying to take our order.
The food was ok – definitely not worth the shitty service and attitude of our server ‘Wesley’. Maybe it’s because ‘Matt’ watched us (thanks for the favor, Matt *sarcasm*) so we didn’t start on a real positive note. Either way, both men weren’t too excellent.
Unfortunately, I’ve lost two hours of my life I’ll never get back.

First time in and I was impressed. Amazing happy hour deals, friendly staff, and great environment. I highly recommend this place!

Came in for happy hour and had a great experience. Plenty of seating and great service.
Enjoyed a PBS Watermelon Wit pint. It was fruity and refreshing. I’d definitely recommend trying it!
Also had the Jalapeño pretzel stix which were AMAZING! I’d get those over and over again and never get tired of them. A nice little kick but not too spicy and the cheese is the perfect pairing! Yummmmmmy!
You should definitely check out happy hour!

My wife went to RB tonight for dinner and I asked for her to grab a chicken and veggies dish to go for me. When it arrived home, there was a weak helping of vegetables that one might think were decorations, not a side dish.

So so food. Good on football Sundays for drinks and game
Service sucks! Service sucks! Been here many times and the server just disappears! Wtf?
You gotta chase em down for refills, the check, to order etc. Fire em all and get new motivated servers.

Drinks are fine as what supposed to be. Foods are definitely below average. My stake and everything is over cooked. and the service in the bar is ridiculous. It seems like I am their enemy. Dropped my beers hardly without saying anything then gone. Tried leave several times before finishing order.

I’ve eaten here a few times on my lunch breaks. The service is usually slower than I would prefer on a lunch hour but the staff is always nice. They have a great variety of drink selections and delicious food. I’ve had the fish tacos and the chicken sandwich and both were worth ordering again!

Unfortunately this is a HUGE fall from grace from my previous 5 star review back in January/​February.
Came here for Happy Hour and dinner with a friend the other night…3/8 to be exact. The 1^st bar server came and took our drink orders. We let him know we’d like to order dinner in a bit. He brought our drinks, then that was it. Didn’t check back with us…30 mins later he still had not come by to take our food order, so I flagged him down for chips and guac. That was delivered, then again, another 10 mins no checking on us, no refill on our beers. Another 10 mins go by, and he stops at the table and clears our glasses but doesn’t ask us for refills/​orders. I ask him if we can order dinner, and he said some other long haired dude (like him) would take our order. Waited 20 mins for that dude (Thank GOD we had a lot to talk about to take up the time) and he didn’t even stop at the table. So I flagged him down for the check thinking, «Screw it… I will have to beg for our dinner and it’ll be another 30 mins or so). The server name on the check was «Brock», but I don’t know if that was server #1 or #2, but either way, they both sucked and neither were friendly. they acted as though we were impinging on their jobs by asking for beer and food. Go figure.
Super disappointed in our service as we both work in VERY close proximity… I could walk over. many of us are always looking for good places for after work parties, happy hour get togethers, dinner, even lunches. Guess we’ll have to go back to our standard, Roy’s at Costa Verde, or some other establishment that wants our business.

We came here after work on a Tuesday. It wasn’t busy at that time and we were seated quickly on the high table near the bar. We were happy cause half an hour after we got in, the place got really busy!
James got his growler to do the refill ($ 6 refill on Tuesday). We got an happy hour appetizer which was the Latina stack or something like that. It was really good cause you get different types of chips to eat with the little salsa tower. I got the chicken mac and cheese. James got the steak with vegetables. The chicken mac and cheese was super filling. The cheese was creamy and the chicken was tender but I only scratched the top when I got full. James liked his steak and he finished it with no problem. Serives was good. It’s nice hang out place after work.

I’ve been here for trivia and to watch superbowl and both times, service has been great. The food is exactly what you’d expect at a bar type restaurant. Not the healthiest stuff, but it’s delicious. On my most recent visit our group ordered burgers, nachos, handmade pretzels with cheese, and the buffalo wings. Everything we ate was good!
If you’re looking to grab a quick bite, watch a game or partake in happy hour in the UTC area… this is your spot! They also have ample free parking which is awesome!

First time eating at this location. We were warmly greeted by Solange, who offered us a couple of tasters of their seasonal beer. The Pumpkin Porter was smooth and tasty with a subtle pumpkin taste. Perfect for this time of year.
We decided to eat light, so I had two of the street fish tacos. The tacos were flavorful, yet light, which was exactly what I was looking for.
Thanks for a great experience Rock Bottom and Solange! We will definitely be back again.

Seriously horrible service. The DOG under the table behind us was getting better service than we were!
This is the team’s go-​to spot after volunteering downtown. The past few instances, I’ve been able to talk the group into choosing a restaurant within walking distance from our downtown volunteer location, but this last time, it was just too hot to walk, so we piled back into the air-​conditioned car and headed towards Rock Bottom.
There were five of us in our group. We had a reservation at noon, and when we arrived, they said it would be a minute while they put two tables together. Yet, when they led us to the dining room, they sat us at one table with five chairs.
Our waitress, Morgan, was HORRID. I mean, flat-​out terrible. She took our drink order, then walked away before we could place an appetizer order. We called out to her, and she stopped to turn back to look one of us right in the eye, before turning around and walking away.
Oh, but it gets better.
She came back with our drinks, and though we were all ready to order — and told her twice that we were ready to order — she left the table without taking said orders. She came back around to help the table next to us, and my co-​worker stopped her to tell her that we were in a bit of rush, and were hoping to place our order soon. She nodded her head, said, «Okay, sure», and then turned around and walked away. She was gone for over five minutes!
The appetizer came out after a tremendously long wait, but we had no utensils and no plates. I asked the guy who delivered the nachos if we could have those things brought to our table, and he said yes before he, too, disappeared. The items were brought to us by a completely different person who, I noted, stopped Morgan to ask if we needed plates and napkins. WTF?
Morgan continued to ignore us the entire time we were there. She showed up as our food was being delivered by other people, but wasn’t proactive about anything. We needed drink refills, we had to track her down. We needed more napkins, we had to track her down. We needed the bill, we had to track her down. The guy paying that day had his card in his hand when she dropped the bill off at the table, and said, «We’re ready to pay» when she turned around and walked off, completely ignoring him.
He jumped up and followed her to the back drink area to hand it over to her, and she acted like she’d never seen the billfold before.
I hate to say it, but Rock Bottom has lost our business. It’s been decided that we will dine *anywhere but* Rock Bottom on our volunteer days. Happy Hours here are out of the question. I mean seriously — when a dog is getting more attention than five grown, paying adults, something is seriously wrong with the business model.
Oh, and it wasn’t just us, either. We were passed by one very angry lady on our way out the door, who took the time to tell the hostess that she was fed up after being ignored for 15 minutes. She was at a table near us. I don’t know how they schedule the dining room, but I’d be willing to bet that her waitress that day was Morgan.

Oh Rock Bottom… what happened to your service? I’m not sure if they were short staffed or if our waiter was just unbelievably slow. Every step of the entire meal, from sitting down to leaving the table, took more time than it should have. It took so long for the waiter to acknowledge that we were done eating and then even longer to bring the bill and then to return with the card and receipt that my boyfriend actually started deducting the tip percentage as we waited. The waiter was dangerously close to receiving no tip and my boyfriend’s head was about to explode.
Aside from the super slow service, the good was good. I enjoyed my chicken burger and the fries and ranch continue to be delicious.
Now if only you can get your service act together, perhaps I can give you four stars again.

Not sure why, as I only visit Rock Bottom one or twice a year, and I don’t recall signing up on any email list… but Rock Bottom sent me a coupon for a free meal up to $ 20…thanks!
$ 16 Sirloin and Shrimp entrée with mac n cheese and mashed potato sides… even at full price, this is a tasty meal for a reasonable price. I think it was a 6oz steak… yum!
$ 6 20oz porter… delish! Their craft beers have always been good, even before the Craft Beer Revolution we live in today.
Looking forward to my next free lunch… hopefully!

It’s been yeeeeeeeears since I’ve stepped foot into a Rock Bottom (in my younger college years, I used to be a fan of the one in downtown… which is now the Tin Roof venue).
I ended up here the other night due to Draft Republic being way too packed. So we went here to try to catch the Warrior game on. It was packed in there! I didn’t know that RB was still THAT poppin. We went to the bar area (as to skip the wait list) and seated ourselves. The waiter was fast, courteous and polite, but the poor dude was slammed… looked like he was the only one there serving about 60 – 70 people (food and drinks). So, service was a tad slow… we had to flag him down several times since he was running like crazy.
We missed their happy hour (ends at 6pm, resumes late night at 9pm I think). So I just ordered:
–The Old-​Fashioned. I could taste the rye and they also added some cherry syrup I think. Packed a punch and was pretty decent…$ 11.50.
–Their $ 3 shot. At some point, they have a basketball shoot-​off in the bar area, and depending on who wins, it’s either $ 3 beers or $ 3 shots for everyone. The shot guy won, hence $ 3 mai tai shots that night.
–Chorizo pretzels — OMG this was amazing!!! I was blown away! Chorizo filled little pretzel twists with deli honey mustard dip… only $ 4.50!!! A must order.
–Crab & Artichoke Dip — delish with the toasted crostini that it’s served with, a refreshing change from getting just chips. Real crab taste, and totally shareable.
–Chicken & Waffle– in my opinion, this was kinda mehhh. Nothing too special about it, just tasted like fried chicken, a waffle and some mashed potatoes (from what I recall). I probably won’t order this again.
Bill came out to about $ 65 for 2. Not bad at all with drinks and food. We were stuffed!
