The Village Veterinary Hospital

I brought my cat Bailey for a checkup after having come to Dr. Sue’s impressive open house. They have a really knowledgeable and polite staff and Dr. Sue clearly loves what she does. Bailey is pretty easy-​going to begin with, but he seemed right at ease in her office, and Esmeralda in particular seems to have a special touch with my feline. The price for the service was very reasonable, particularly considering the area. I’m so happy to have finally found my vet. Thanks, Dr. Sue!!!

Dr. Sue is amazing! I was nervous about bringing my cat in for a check up after rescuing her (and her being a former stray and not knowing much about her history). She was compassionate and knowledgable and It was obvious she has been in the business for a long time and loves animals very much. My cat does not behave the best with people she doesn’t know but was handled beautifully. Turns out she just had an ear infection but I also had lots of my questions about her care, diet and flea medications in addition to the overall check up. The facility is brand new and gorgeous in a particularly nice part of La Jolla. The rest of her staff was very friendly and accommodating too. I would definitely recommend her!

All of my experiences with this clinic have been nothing short of professional– encountering nothing less than a cutting edge, immaculately clean and organized facility kept in seamless order by a friendly, warm and highly efficient staff. I would encourage anyone researching the area for vets to absolutely trust Dr. Sue (20 plus years of expertise) with his or her beloved pet/​fur-​baby, and to use some power of discernment — as in read ALL of the reviews; including those ‘unrecommended ’ here– for some reason. Please recall that those reviews are sometimes selected arbitrarily by a bot and not by an actual person who works in administration. This is a fabulous, trustworthy hospital, worthy of anyone in need of sincere care coupled with state-​of-​the-​art diagnostic equipment. You will NOT be disappointed. I have been a true and loyal Unilocaler for some time now– I would be extremely suspicious if this review were to become somehow ‘unrecommended’ as the other several positive reviews of this hospital.

Unilocal has asked me to revise my review to meet their terms of agreement so I’ll just make this simple– my experience with this hospital was very bad, the doctor did not help in my situation and I was overcharged and lied to (another hospital even viewed my invoice and showed me how absurd it was, I’m not a cheapo earlier but more so just hurt by the dishonesty). Upon research I found out that the old hospital down the street was the same doctor that owns this one, the old hospital had tons of negative reviews very similar to mine and I was devastated that I didn’t find that out sooner. I also found out right after that she was under investigation for multiple things via a news report by a local news station. Please beware and search all your options before choosing your primary care for your pet.
