Needed to repair a backpack zipper, and Yes Shoe Repair was convenient and prompt with the repair after walking in. Great job on the repair and very friendly too.

I wish I knew about this place before I threw away some older Michael Kors flats I had! :(
My year old Tory Burch flats were looking rough (scuffs and scrapes on the bottom side) and I was debating on whether or not to get a new pair. They were worn looking but no one wants to «toss» $ 250 flats!
I searched all over for leather shoe repair shops and this place had the best reviews and experience with high end shoes.
I took my flats in on Tuesday and they said it would ready on Thursday! Even better the repair (replace the heel, glue the sole, fix scrapes/​scuffs) for under &30!
When I went in today to pick them up, they looked like new again! I was so happy I took my Michael Kors shoes I was wearing right off my feet and left them to be repaired! lol
If you have those favorite pair of shoes that need to be spruced up, bring them here! I have like 5 other pairs of shoes I want to bring in!

Love this place. First time here after checking online for places to dye a pair of boots nay blue. This was the best price $ 35! they were fast and the finished result was better than I had hoped.
Took in a 2^nd pair of shoes to be dyed and again they were great!
Just dropped off some repairs so am expecting great things.

Overpriced in my opinion. My kind of repair takes 5 – 10 min time in most places. They gave me a quote for $ 35, I mean car mechanic charges $ 120-​$ 150 phr, and shoe repair cost in this place is $ 200 phr, if you know what I mean?

Fixed a ripped heel strap, worn out heels, and shined my shoes for $ 20! Doesn’t get much better than that. Sincere service and affordable prices – win!

Reasonably priced! I dropped in on the spur of the moment. I had no idea this place was here. While I waited, I had the heel on the boots I was wearing repaired, as well as a shine. It took under a half an hour and the gentleman that assisted me was super nice and very accommodating. This olé pair of boots is now new again. Very satisfied with the service.

It’s a shame that I hadn’t found this place before! I can’t believe how many places I’ve been to try and get my shoes fixed and with no luck. There is a shoe repair place in Del Mar I had been going to regularly for years, but they said there was no way they could fix my shoes. This is a pair of Ferragamo’s and they are too expensive to just toss out because of the broken buckle. But when I went to shoe repair places all over, I kept getting the same answer… can’t fix it! I even drove all the way to a place in Otay Mesa. literally right next to the border, that according to their website specializes in repairs of Ferragamo’s but they told me the same thing… they couldn’t fix the broken buckle.
I’ve had this pair of shoes in the trunk of my car for more than year in the event I find a shoe repair store that I haven’t already been to when I came across Yes Shoe Repair. It’s in a small business center in La Jolla. I had just finished up work across the street and came over this way to get something to eat. There are a number of places to get something quick to eat when I noticed the shoe repair sign. Having been turned down virtually everywhere else, I still decided to give it a try but not really expecting much.
The store is quite small and when I walked in, all you see are shelves and shelves of shoes that have been repaired. Quite the collection! Someone from the back came out to the counter to help me. He was a young man and asked how could he help. I really wasn’t anxious to hear once again how these shoes just couldn’t be fixed but when ahead and showed him the shoes and asked if they could fix. He didn’t look at the shoes for more than 5 seconds and said «Yes, will Wednesday be fine?» I was stunned! I have been all over and to some places that specialize in this brand and even to stores in rather affluent parts of town and yet everyone has told me they couldn’t fix it until now! And not only could they fix it, it would only take a couple of days. I was a bit skeptical but figured why not, I’ve been waiting over a year to try and get them fixed.
After a couple of days I went back to pick up my shoes. Again, more or less expecting them to say sorry, they couldn’t fix them or for them to look horrible with the buckle fastened together with some hideous wire or something. But when he handed me the shoes, the buckle was fastened and looked like brand new! And, they polished the shoes! And on top of all this, it was only $ 10. I’ve been waiting what seemed like forever to find a place that could fix my shoes and they did it in a few days and even polished the shoes. I typically pay $ 5-‘10 to get my shoes shined regularly so I can’t believe how inexpensive it was to fix the shoes and at a place close to home.
Their name, «Yes Shoe Repair» is very appropriate, especially the ‘yes’ part. I’m so lucky to have found this place and only wish I would have found them sooner. This will absolutely be my go-​to place for shoe repair, resoling and even shoe shining! I can’t recommend this place high enough if you have a pair of shoes that need repair. It seems nothing is impossible for them and not only do they do quality work, they charge a very fair price.

I was very pleased with the shoe repairs here. They were super friendly and had my shoes done very quickly for a really great price. I highly recommend taking your shoes here before giving up on them.

Been coming here for 10+ years. Today picked up my leather backpack which they reconditioned for me. It was totally dry and faded out when they took it from me. Now the leather is supple, the color is returned to a rich mahogany brown and I love the bag again. They worked magic!

I’m glad I wrote a detailed review just to remind myself. The repairs lasted only FOUR MONTHS. Seriously?!
See my prior review where I talked about the «so-​so» repair. It was actually pretty crappy for how I’m limping around the office with my shoes completely falling apart. I literally have to throw these shoes away. There was a reason why I wanted to repair them. I honestly think theses should would have last LONGER had I NOT come here for the repair.
Totally disappointed. I really liked these shoes.
Not a happy customer. I can’t bring myself to give 1 star to a family business. but definitely taking it down to a two with photo evidence and WOULD NOT RETURN + WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Grumbles. maybe my shoes were too cheap for them to care? Doubt I would want to risk a pair of fancy shoes from my end.

I had them repair a Zipper on my motorcycle jacket. At first a regular zipper was put on, but that busted. I came back and they replaced it with a YKK Zipper for no additional cost. Quick turnaround and fantastic customer service!

Armando provides excellent service and top notch repair work; $ 10 for heel tip replacements including clean & polish. I will be back!

Armando is the best, saved my heels so many times. I have my favorite Jimmy Choos that are all ready to go and dancing shoes and fixed straps, I can go on and on.

I had my flat scratched on the leather part and brought it to Nordstrom where I bought the shoes. They said it’d be hard to fix it because the color golden rose is too uncommon. So I searched nearby and would like to try this shoe repair.
Turns out I made an absolutely right choice! The staffs were friendly, nice and efficient. And most importantly, they did an amazing work! My flat now looks as perfect as brand new, I couldn’t even recognize where the scratch used to be! I really appreciate it, and also for the very reasonable price. Definitely recommend it!

I have been here 4 times this year. He always does a perfect job. I’ve brought two purses there for him to fix the straps and two pairs of shoes and they look great afterwards!
I know I’ll be back! I had never been to a shoe repair place because I would just throw out my shoes or purses if they got old but now I come here and he can revamp them to look stellar!

Amazing workmanship and service! I feel like leather working and repair is a lost art. We need more artisans like him!
I brought in 2 pairs of beloved leather shoes that I thought were beyond repair. My Tory Burch Reva flats were scuffed up around the bottom of the shoe, the leather at the heel was tearing, and the sole needed repair. He was able to patch up the ripped leather, polish the scuff marks, and put a new sole inside and keep the existing rubber bottom. My Frye Carson flats had a huge hole on the bottom on the shoe and also needed a sole repair (see photo). He replaced the entire sole. He was able to maintain the same style of the flats and actually the new sole was more comfortable than the sole from Frye.
The shopping center is crowded during rush hour and parking and traffic in and out can be a nightmare. But Yes Shoe Repair is totally worth it!

I went in with a pair of sneakers to reattach the soles. The owner (I think) said no problem and told me to come back two days later.
This is what happened when I came back to pick up my shoes.
Me: Hi (gave him my ticket).
Owner: Okay (looks around), black shoes?
Me: No, white and green sneakers.
Owner: Oh, ok (goes in the back to look for them, I guess).
15 minutes pass, and a younger guy tells me that he’s just finishing up cleaning th shoes. Wtf? Shouldn’t the shoes be cleaned and ready for pick up? Why does it take 15 minutes to look for a pair of white sneakers?
Owner: Ok, here you go.
Me: Um, why is there yellow glue/​bond all over? Did you just fix these?
Owner: No I fixed them (wtf you mean you fixed them?), and just cleaned up a bit.
Me: No, you see the stuff here? This isn’t cleaning.
Owner: Well you see, look at our sign. It says shoe repair, not new shoes.
Me: Are you kidding me?
Owner: Fine just take the shoes, no charge.
Me: Can you just be honest and tell me if you forgot about them and just tried to fix them? (the owner is walking away towards the back and then disappears). This isn’t how you do business.
I could’ve bought gorilla glue and fixed the shoes myself and would’ve gotten a better result.
Other reviewers obviously had different experiences at this place, and I would’ve given more stars if the owner would’ve admitted forgetting about the shoes and apologized and just asked me to come back later.
Never coming back here, I’d recommend John’s Shoe Repair on Clairemont Drive.
