Angel’s Nail Salon

Today was my first time here. My best friend & I decided to get our nails done, we chose Angel’s because of their Unilocal reviews.
We loved that there is an actual parking lot. When we walked in, we were greeted right away. We asked how much a gel mani was ($ 23) and they asked if we wanted a pedi ($ 16). We just wanted a mani, so they sat us down next to each other and it was just a couple minute wait.
Karen did a gel mani. She was great! She really took her time– cut cuticles, shaped & filed my nails, put my hands in a warmer & lotion/​massaged my hands. She was so friendly & welcoming that I asked her if she did waxing– she does! So she did my eyebrows also.
The only reason I am not giving a full 5 star review is because when it came time to paying– I was charged $ 26 for my nails. I paid it with no questions asked, but I complained to my girlfriend after we left. She made a good point that maybe I was charged the extra $ 3 because I had a French white tip color as opposed to painting my full nails. Either way, I should’ve been informed of the price difference. All in all I loved the salon & Karen so I will definitely be back!

Love this place! My nails can last 3 – 4 weeks, they’re never super thick which I love, & I’m always complimented on how natural they look. Would highly recommend.

The prices are descent and the spa pedicure was nice, as well as the woman who gave the pedicure. However there was another woman doing my manicure at the same time who seemed irritated to even be there. She looked extremely annoyed when I said I was not satisfied with the color that she had put on, I don’t think it should be that big of a deal that I need to choose another color. She repeatedly rushed me to choose a color and took away the relaxed feeling I should have had during my spa day. I did like the pedicure and the other women seemed very nice maybe I just won’t see her again. Over all the place was nice. Cheap prices and nice selection of colors. I got spa pedicure and gel manicure for 40.00

They put a lot of effort into making your nails look good. Very careful and very very good job. Make an appointment with Don!

My friend and I booked an appointment with Don. He is the best nail guy there and will make the shape exactly how you want it. We specifically called and asked for him and booked two appointments. When I got there (early) I wanted to get my nails done first so my gf and I could sit by each other, the lady said no get your pedicure first because they only had one lady for nails (11am) I was like ok since my friend wasn’t there yet so I sat down for my pedi. My friend got there and asked for Don and the lady said he isn’t working today. Wtf? Umm ok that’s who we booked with. Long story short it was a shitty experience, we didn’t even get to pick out colors or hang out AND look at the shape of my nails. plus the guy who did my nails was rude. I asked him what do you think? And he said idk! Not my nails. Super rude! Darren or whatever his name is. Fool was on his period.

Quality work for a good price. Mani, spa pedi, eyebrow & and lip wax came out to $ 38 before tip.

Been coming here for a few months and I don’t have any issues with my nails :) they always come out looking exactly how I want.

Ok never done this but I never met a hussler like Don who owns and runs this shop. A few weeks ago I was in there and they have this program where you get your nails done for so many times and like the 12 to visit you get $ 10 off. I turned in my card ready for my $ 10 off and he gives me a $ 10 gift card. I questioned him about it and I realize that the woman in front of me just turned one in where he took $ 10 off her total but then handed me a gift card. Bad business practice. Then today I go back and he has no recollection of the conversation that we had about replacing the acrylic from the top of my natural nails. The last time I was in he recommended that I do it. he said we haven’t done it in months and it would healthy for my nails to do so and he also would not charge me extra to do that. Today he had no recollection of that he again suggested replacing all of the acrylic on my natural nails. When I’m paying he tells me a price which I questioned and he tells me because you got a new Fresh set. I bring up our last conversation and that he recommended, wouldn’t charge me. for it and today he acts completely… I said that? So being that it’s not about the money, but it also kinda is about the money for him always. I said never mind and paid because I’m classier than that. He however needs to take some business management classes ASAP.
I will admit that I have kept going because his nails are good. He does not do good artwork though. I don’t think anyone in this nail shop does. But the nails are good. I also stoped getting my eyebrows done there because he took way more off than I wanted to and again when I brought to his attention… a hole on my eyebrow he told me my hair is way too light for me to see but they were there. This guy will try to sell ice to an Eskimo. Nice knowing you Don and the staff at Angels nail salon I’m out! There too many nail shops out there for me to put up with your mess. General public, you have been warned!

Since I needed to get my nails done and I was looking through Unilocal and found this place and thought I should go try and see how they do. Don did my nails and he did an AMAZING job! He is nice and friendly and does his job really good! I think I’ll start coming here and let Don do my nails. I recommend everyone to try it and ask for Don and he will make your nails look good ;)

I’ve been going to Angel’s consistently the last 6-​months and every time I’m thrilled with my experience — nails look great, cost is reasonable and service is always friendly. They always have clean tools and go above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. At first, I went because of the proximity to my house… now even though I’m moving further away, I’ll definitely continuing using Angel’s. It’s difficult to find a good nail salon but this really is a gem!

This was my first time going to this place I loved it! I think I have found my new nails spot! Everyone was so friendly.
They have a ton of gel colors and as you know that’s the hardest decision to make!
They also do gel on your toes!

I came in for gel manicure & Nga was the lady that did them. She was really sweet & nice. Gave me suggestions without any pressure & gave me what I wanted without hesitating. She cut my nails & filed them wonderfully. She tended to my cuticles & made my fingernails look amazingly fresh. then ended with a nice hand & forearm massage. I say for $ 23, it was definitely worth more than that. She did such a great job. I’m coming back for a fill & pedicure next time.

This store is very clean, the staff very attentive and kind.
They have GREAT massage chairs for the spa pedicure!
Several options for the pedicure from $ 16, $ 24, $ 30 and I think $ 40.
My feet feel GREAT! My hands feel good and pretty polish.
(Is there were I should mention I got home from my beauty day and lunch to go cut hedges, pull weeds and clean up the front garden :) My hubby things I’m pretty neat for that!
Everything was very clean. The customers were happy too.
Listening to music was nice, but the big TV didn’t make sense to me since I couldn’t hear it.
Loved their artwork of San Diego on Metal and the floral canvas large prints. SO much better than those cheesy pictures of hands and nails IMHO.
So for $ 40 I got 90 mins of pampering with $ 24 pedicure, $ 12 manicure and $ 4 tip.
I also purchased a gift certificate for friends that are so gracious to my family who live about a mile away. Hoping they will both get the Spa Treatment!

They were open on a Sunday! That was my first positive. Great prices and very helpful. They helped me with my half-​attempt to do my own nails (which was an epic fail, hence the reason for my visit). They are all super friendly.
The polish selection was alright. My gal (Tammy I believe) did a nice job with polish. She was meticulous with my awful cuticles She did file my nails down so short that it started burning my skin and I had to ask twice for her to be careful. My nails are so short that its actually a little painful today. Overall they are super affordable and I would return on a Sunday, but not my first choice overall.

Pricing is so reasonable but best part is that the work is quality work. Darren did my nails and he nailed it (pun intended) ;). He knew exactly what I wanted and was a perfectionist when it came to shaping my nails to make sure they were the shape I wanted them to be. The entire staff was friendly and one of them (not even my nail tech) even let me borrow a phone charger because my phone was gonna die. Genuinely nice people, not your usual salon where they all make you feel uncomfortable like they’re talking about you. They all talked to their customers and made conversation and huge plus too was they play the most hilarious videos on their tv. New favorite spot in San Diego, will definitely be coming back!

Found this spot looking for another nail salon. I was skeptical walking in because it originally wasn’t my first choice, but I’m so glad I did walk in.
Kim is sweet and serious about her work. She immediately offered me a water when I sat down. They do things differently here where they place your hands in a bag of cuticle softener before they trim dead skin.
I got a french mani done. I work as a server where I am constantly using my hands, but the gel has stayed in tact and perfect since the moment I got it done. Love it! Will definitely be back for a regular mani/​pedi.

This salon is under new management and I could not be any happier. I haven’t been this happy with the service I received in a long time. Don did an AMAZING job on my nails and Lynn did a WONDERFUL job on my pedicure. The shop closes at 7:30 and I walked in at 7:15 and they did not rush or do poorly because it was almost time for them to close. I will be going back!

Came in for a full set + pedicure. My nails came out fantastic! Don did a great job, I left with exactly what I wanted. My pedicure turned out good as well but the technician was very rough. She filed too close and rubbed my skin and she cut me when she was nipping my cuticles. I’m not sure if she was in a hurry or if that’s just her style. I didn’t get her name but I won’t be letting her do my pedi next time. Otherwise great little spot. I will definitely be returning.

This place is amazing since the new owners took over! Karen is the best! So kind and personable. The whole staff is very friendly, they make you feel very welcome as soon as you walk in. Definitely planning on becoming a regular here. Very happy customer!
