I’m 25 and ever since I was a baby I have unfortunately had the bad habit of sucking on my fingers, all day, everyday. It was an awful habit that my parents, dentist, and doctors were unable to help me quit, they tried everything from getting me a puppy, to hot sauce on my fingers, and even thinking about having a sharp object placed in my mouth by dentist to stop me by poking my fingers when I placed them in my mouth. Not only was it a huge concern for the health of my teeth but it was also extremely embarrassing. Growing up sucking your fingers you find it being joked about often by friends, siblings, and even at times by my parents. I would suck my fingers whether I was watching TV or a movie, or if I was at a slumber party full of friends, even if I was on a short car ride I would find myself having to do it. When I began living with my boyfriend a year ago I felt enough was enough and tried to quit on my own but still found myself sucking my fingers once he had fallen asleep. Then I met Hanna Fox. I can’t even begin to tell you how big of a weight she lifted off of me. I saw her for my first hypnotherapy sessions last July and before the appointment I wasn’t sure what to think about hypnotherapy but at this point why not try it, nothing else was working! I was truly amazed during our session and afterwards couldn’t stop telling everyone about my experience and how excited I was to see how I would end up doing. I have yet to suck my fingers since that first appointment… not even once! I saw Hanna about a week after my first appointment just for a little more positive encouragement which I’m definitely glad I did. There are times I find myself thinking about it but now it is SO much easier to tell myself no and that it’s not something I need or even want to do. I feel like after hypnotherapy I am so much more aware and cautious about why I would want to do it. It truly is an amazing feeling of accomplishment for me and I could never have done this without her and hypnotherapy! I can not thank you enough Hanna!
